Super disappointed with my visit this Sunday. It was super busy, there is zero crowd control and even less mask enforcement. Inside the orchards, groups of people were maskless and smoking and when I went to express concerns to the person at the entrance of the orchards, he told me I probably shouldn’t be coming if I care about crowds. Crowds are fine so long as mask use is being enforced, but this is not the place to come if you’re concerned or even mildly careful these days about your health.

2021-11-02This is an adorable apple orchard where you can pick your own apples, purchase apple baked goods, and hang out by the outdoor picnic tables and drink a beer or hit cider. There are plenty of bucolic photo ops!

2020-09-14Apples a bit small and not very many ripe on Sep 13 2020. Last year this place was great. The outdoor hard cider and cider donuts are still great. Friendly people, great price and a great time.Note: apple picking and donuts are cash-only, the bar for cider accepts credit card

2020-10-23Love to visit the orchards The Apple Shed. I try every year to go east to buy bags of apples 🍎, cider and pies if available. Driving through with the trees on either side takes me to a simpler time on Long Island where fruit, vegetable, and potato farms dominated. This years purchase included Crispin for present day eating and Arkansas Black apples for cold storage and eating/cooking for the next few months. And a Caramel apple for my sweet tooth today.

2019-10-01This apple picking place has a pretty good variety of apples to choose from and they have amazing chocolate chip cookies. Their doughnuts are amazing along with their hard cider and normal apple cider. Great prices and amazing baked goods. Definitely recommend, but call before you go, they are not always open for apple picking.

2019-10-16My family and I arrived on a Sunday afternoon. By that time a limited amount of large apples were available for picking. There were a ton of pretty small but delicious apples left. The bag is reasonably priced. Overall a nice experience. Beware there are no actual bathrooms! Only porta potties!

2017-10-07Pleasantly surprised! Not overly crowded and a decent selection of apples on a holiday weekend - Macs, empire and Cortland in early Oct. $15 for a large bag that can hold a whole lot of apples. Price wise, its a good deal compared to other spots that give you a small bag. Also, they dont force everyone that enters the orchard to buy a bag (something common at other locations). Trees may not be easy for small children to get apples from, but if someone tall is with you, you can get some of the best apples.

2017-12-03Went here first 3 weeks of apple season. Only had 1 variety to pick at 16$ a bag. Other apples were in season, as they were hand picked and sold in the store at several dollars a piece, a pretty blatant tourist trap, rip off, will not be back. Its too bad because I like their cider, store, and all other aspects of their business, the help and service at the aquebague location is way better. A disappointment, in summation.
