Visited this place with my family and some friends. Had a great experience, and loved all of the food, and appetizers that we ordered. Everyone was raving over the shrimp with nachos starter... Staff were friendly, and definitely provided a good service despite the busy night. They accommodated us rather fast, and provided to care for us very quickly. Overall, we had a great experience at this place. Will be coming back for sure!
Large portions, food was good, and service was okay. They waiter did not have any recommendations or too many comments on the dishes. He stated that he did not ever have either of the two pasta dishes offered. We were a party of two and felt a little misled in ordering as it pertains to the portion size.
World Pie is a place to enjoy a delicious meal year round. The great atmosphere both inside and out plus attention to period detail adds to the authenticity of an old world feel as well. Folks seated in the bar area will enjoy televised sports and camaraderie akin to Cheers where everybody knows your name...because you will be back. No matter what I have ordered it is always delicious from their AMEX salad (removed from the menu but ask if theyll make it), lasagna, perfectly prepared salmon over greens, decadent double cut pork chop, each item is complemented by a delightful accompaniment. And if you want a crispy crust pizza, choices abound for toppings! Something here will delight the most discerning palates! And dont even think about those calories when you order dessert. Go for the chocolate pie. It is worth every sweet mouthful! YUM!!!
World Pie has excellent pizza and great service. The bartender is always great to talk to and makes excellent drinks. I wouldnt recommend ordering anything to eat other than the pizza, which is why they do not get a full 5 stars. However, they really do pizza well, so stick to that and you will have a great experience!Must try - Mr. Tang Pizza
Went there on a Saturday....bar tender was BEYOND friendly...made us drinks and let us sit outside and then brought pizza outside to us. Went back THE NEXT DAY and was forcefully greeted by a NASTY hostess who wouldn’t let us inside and said “It’s take out only” so we said “ok....we’ll sit out here and eat like we did yesterday.” And she said “Can you SEE that sign?!! It says no food on the patio.” I said, “we were just out here YESTERDAY” and she said “well....you got away with it.” We left. Would NEVER go back there again now. Proprietors need to remember that patrons can spend their money ANYWHERE they want. YOUR establishment is NOT the ONLY or the BEST one around. Be courteous to customers, please. 🙄
Terrible service. We placed our order and did not see our waiter again for at least another hour. Never checked on us for more drinks or if we needed anything. We needed to bus our own table to make room for the pizza. When we had to ask for our check, he was annoyed. We did see people leaving after they were seated due to no service being offered. This may have been an unusual circumstance, but I think they could have at least explained if there was an issue or apologize for the slow service. We were there in February, cant image what July and August are like.
Service was aweful. We were seated all the way in the back. Waiter neglected us. We were never presented with the lunch specials, which were much better than the menu. When we approached the waiter about it, he was unapologetic and seemed annoyed. Ordered the BLT buffalo sandwich. Chicken was overcooked and sandwich overall was dry. Would never eat here again.
The host was most abrupt and was refusing to seat us until the forth in our party of 4 arrived. We all had the chicken picatta off the price fix menu. Good. Only a small piece of chicken, most likely less than half a breast.Service was ok. We had to ask twice for a bread basket, although Nile did check back to see if everything is ok. Ive never found the service there to be anything exceptional, only mediocre.
Waited for my food, a lunch special. When I came back from the restroom I was horrified to see half my entree on the floor. When Mty husband got our waitress I showed her the 2 large pieces of fish that I had placed on the table and she said she would go order me two more pieces leaving the fish on the table when she left. Several minutes later I received 2 small pieces in a bowl and she finally cleared the fish from the floor off the table. My hubby and I looked at each other and the fish brought out and could not believe how small they were. He brought it to her attention and she said oh should I go get more?! I said no please bring me a container to bring it home and shortly after we (my son was also there) finished, his pizza finally arrived. So we waited for him to have a slice and asked for the bill. There was no reflection of course on the check for what happened to my food. So $150 later I will say it will be a cold day in hell before I return after spending so much for my meal which I only got half and hubbys pizza which arrived after the rest of us had finished. My hubby had also stated to our waitress how surprised he was that a new entree wasnt brought to us instead of 2 very sad pieces of cod. I guess if we had screamed and yelled we may have had what we were paying forThis was no cheap special it was still $ 16 for fish and chips. But we were trying to celebrate with my son and wanted him to enjoy his day. He didnt enjoy the pizza his was under cooked and he didnt even eat one whole slice. Very sad compared to our visit last year. See this is a treat for us. And were so looking forward to it.
Came in for a drink after eating at Elaia across the road. Johny at the bar makes you feel right at home. Amazing great conversationalist and we had quite a few laughs. Ended up leaving with a pie in hand and it did not disappoint. Def worth a stop and will be back when visiting next.
A restaurant is only as good as your last meal there. I had a dreadful lunch at World Pie on 12/1/18 . The hostess felt I was over reacting when I verbally expressed my disgust at being served a cup of coffee with someone elses lipstick stains on the cup! They not only took about 10 minutes to remove the cup, but they neglected to bring me a fresh one. To add insult to injury, not only did they not comp the coffee , but World Pie put both coffees on my bill.Serving a cup of coffee with big red lipstick stains from another patron on it , speaks to carelessness that clearly exists among the kitchen and the wait staff. That should be enough of a reason to avoid World Pie . In addition , please note that instead of an apology , i got ATTITUDE and charged for both coffees.
I eat at World Pie often and its very good. This time I ordered two pies to be picked up to eat on the way to the city. They were AWFUL. Both were very under cooked. One had prosuitto on it and that was cut think like regular ham. We each took a bit or two of each pie and tossed them. Left a bad taste for one of my favorite places, plus a stomach ache.
I have been going there since 2000. I dont know what happened to the pizza in the last months....it is really terrible right now. We told the waiter that the pizza was really bad and he simply ignored us. We wanted to do you a favor, telling you the truth: the pizza is horrible, you should do something about it
Went there in January and had to experience that all beer taps but the Guiness one were down. As a beer loving customer I wanted to express my dissatisfaction with a 10% tip. The waiter however decided to bump his tip and charged me a higher tip. After a call, the General Manager played it down and said I should rest assured and he would take care of it and return the money on the card, which he hasnt to this day.Just to make it clear, it was not about the amount in $, it is about taking more money from a customer who signed a receipt with one amount, but charging a higher one. Also if there is a problem with expressing a non-satisfiying experience in a 10% tip, then I do not know how else.I think it is a bold move to charge more than the customer has tipped on the signed receipt.PS: I hope you fixed your taps by now.
Wow horrible dirty place. We eat in many Hamptons places. This does not belong here , With terrible spoil food. !! Very dirty., places belongs at a truck stop. Same quality. Waiters throw checks at costumers. Ownerdoes not care. Mike owner likes how his staff abused costomerx. $130 for spoil old food plus abuse by staff. Dont go. !!!
Gourmet pizza is just one of the outstanding things this place offers up. A chalkboard of daily specials add additional flare to this pizza shop with pizzaz. Located downtown in the heart of Birdge hampton you cant go wrong with any dish in here. The BBQ Duck quesadillas were in a league of their own. The stripped bass corn chowder also blew my taste buds back to the olden days of New England. A truly delightful restaurant.
Nice place, like the creative Pizza, wait service did a good job, the ravioli in ink with sauce was delicious, liked the artichoke, goat cheese pizza, this was a very good choice for an anniversary, manager offered to hand up my wifes expensive coat, so it would not get damaged.,
Just awful. Service was surly, inattentive and when questioned whether we were going to get our drinks that we had been waiting for 15 mins for i was told buy the waiter that if I wasnt working, I would tell you what i thought of you We left and i can assure you never to return.

2018-03-14Very nice place with a bar that you can eat at and a brick oven in the back which you can see. They have some good tunes playing as well. We got the char-grilled shrimp, which was really good. We also got an Arugala and Endive with goat cheese salad. This was a good mix in the salad. The last thing we got was the Tuscan Pizza which I would highly recommend. There were also some other pizzas that sounded great and would like to try, but that would have to be on a return trip.

2018-05-12Stumbled on this place where everything else was closed. The service was very good and the place was welcoming with nice and warm decor. We were impressed with the single-motor-belt-operated fans. The Nachos were out of this world. Freshly made with great guacamole, sour cream peppers shrimps cheese and tomatoes. The pies were fantastic. Thank you so much for a perfect evening.

2018-06-28According to the waiter they only have one gluten free option. However, it came out very quickly and it was surprisingly pretty good (its not something I would have chosen, but I was hungry).

2021-08-10Pretty much my all time favorite restaurant ever. Always got the meza rigatoni and was never disappointed. The bread they bring to the table is also delicious. Of all the things I miss about living in the Hamptons, this is definitely in my top 3.

2021-08-21Food is consistently good. Outside seating is pleasant. Almost European. The staff attitude it to be attentive and helpful. Kids are welcome but its not a kids restaurant. Its just right.

2018-09-21We come for the pizza, stay for the Tres Leches. Its not a dessert you find often, but they have an outstanding take on it.

2019-06-03Fantastic thin crust pizza. Not greasy and ingredients taste fresh from the farm. Service was super attentive and friendly. Also has nice bathrooms and a unique ambience with ceiling fans that are all linked to a single motor. Definitely worth a trip if you are anywhere on Long Island!

2020-07-27Great place if your looking to be overcharged for poor pizza and over priced drinks. Before the epidemic they had some great food outside of the pathetic pizza. Last time there, I was billed 140.00 for a small pizza 18.00. A chicken dish 25.00. Then three drinks from the bar to go. Do the math. Bartender was so polite. If you do decide to go...Enjoy being ripped off and getting laughed at as you walk out the door being ripped off.
