Its truly sad no space to eat and also when i sat with my plate got up for soda the lady kept asking for money before getting soda also charged me extra for sauce thats supposed to come with order sad excuse of a resturant especially in NYC

Dont order anything steamed from here they will straight up serve you raw hard vegetables the only thing they got right was the white rice.. its a shame

2021-09-15The dude very rude when taking my order. My food was done and he waited until someone else’s food was done for me to pay. Then he got my order wrong. I just called to speak to a boss but the same dude who took my order picked up and he hung up on me

2021-06-07Came to Yangs Happy Wok. It was terrific. Gets a little too crowded, but has pretty good ambience and service. Everything was fantastic and delicious. Really welcoming, attentive and experienced. I will keep coming back.

2019-05-25Spoiled tofu, over-cooked old rice, place is dirty...also I know Chinese food can be greasy, but this was way over the top.They also have a pending rating which means they failed their first inspection and are being given a second chance. Big surprise.Go to A&C Chinese, diagonally across the street. (Ave B and 9th street). Way better!

2018-01-13I ordered from this place for the first time this evening 1/12/18. I called ahead and picked up my order on my way home. It was busy when I got to the restaurant but, I got my order and the guy at the counter was pretty ok. I actually wanted to make an additional order but didnt want to wait in the shop so, I called in for delivery when I got in (I live literally the next block over). My order didnt even reach delivery minimum but I told the guy to make the order for it anyway because, I didnt want to come back out.About 15-20mins later, the delivery guy calls (as he making his way I guess) and I proceed to make my way down to the lobby. I take the steps (4 floors) because, theres maintenance work being done the elevator. I get another call (about 3mins later) from the delivery guy as Im going down the stairs and when I pick up, hes yelling saying something I didnt understand. It was hard to make out because of his accent but he was definitely yelling. I even asked are you yelling at me? just to be sure. Then I told him Im coming down the stairs and he yelled something about him calling already. When I get to the front entry, I told him that the elevator was out and I had to use the steps and it had also only been a few mins since he initially called. He continued to yell trying to talk over me asking me to pay. Now heres where it gets ridiculous... I have the cash in hand and say here you go and proceed to take the food and he pulls the bag from me again saying you pay. Im looking at him like hes nuts and I say here is the money! as I am handing it to him but he is not taking it it still yelling no, you no pay, you pay. Im over it by now so I tell him Im calling the restaurant. Then he says you no want food? as Im dialing the restaurant. The phone line becomes conveniently busy so I dont get through but, the delivery guy jumps on his bike and rides off.I get through after about 4mins and explain to the first guy at the counter what had just happened and his reaction was okay🤷🏻♂️ (As if this is a regular occurrence). He only offered a half apology of a monotone sorry about that after I told him I never ordered from there before today and how unbelievably horrible the service was.The food and ice tea I ordered was good (hence the 2 stars; one for each) but, this is certainly the first and the absolute last time I order Chinese food from Yangs Happy Wok on Avenue C between 10th and 11th streets. Major thumbs down 👎🏾🙅🏾

2012-07-09Never had a problem with their food. They give you awesome portions thatll be sure to fill you up! Also, this is probably the only place ill ever get General Tso Chicken. Its actual chicken and not that crunchy meatless stuff you get elsewhere.

2017-03-31Very fast take out and surprisingly better than I expected! I cant speak to all the food on their menu, but the General Tsos dinner combo was pretty good and was a generous portion.

2018-10-02This is the best Chinese spot in Alphabet City. Food is always good and tastes fresh. Been ordering from here for well over 10 years. Hope this place doesnt shut down.
