Strawberry cheesecake is good but a little small for 5$. Jerk pork is tender.Portion size for a small pretty much feels like a large.
My overall experience has been satisfactory besides the hour long deliveries. I’ve had just about everything on the menu and I have no complaints on the food. Customer service and deliveries need improvement tho.
Delicious!! The staff is super nice. They got our food really quickly and it was great. Not to spicy but full of flavor. We got the jerk pork and jerk chicken! I wish they were by my house.
There Escovich fish had no taste and it was white as if it wasnt fried, the festivals are ok, Overall Everything is over priced I wont buy there again ,and there is no parking you have to double park

My jerk chicked didnt have that authentic, smokey, grilled and charred taste! Just plain mildly spicy chicken.
Turkey smelled and look so good!!! We was very disappointed that it was undercooked inside. I cut off what I could and baked it some more bc I was serving dinner. Tomorrow I have to try to salvage the rest. Lucky for us we also had a Popeyes turkey that saved the day.
I have been coming here for years but I am completely turned off now. (1) they don’t listen, got the wrong order and I didn’t complain about it and was just going to eat it but then (2) I found a hair in my food. Completely turned off and won’t be returning back here.
Stopped here with my old man visiting the neighborhood where he grew up. This was the best Jerk Chicken w/Rice and Oxtail gravy I’ve ever had. Absolutely phenomenal!

Ordered the jerk chicken which was okay but not spicy. The chicken was tender but it seemed like it was missing something.
First I have to say I have ordered from this restaurant at least half a dozen times and their chicken soup and oxtails with butter beans are AMAZING.However I am shocked and disappointed that to say I found bits of material, possibly from a sponge or dishcloth they use to clean, in my soup today!!I initially thought it might be from celery or a different (new) ingredient but I spat it out and tried pulling it apart. Thats when I realized it was some sort of fabric. I am really disappointed and honestly a bit angry about this experience.
Nice portion but the jerk chicken tasted like it wasnt seasoned well. I barely tasted any jerk seasoning . I felt like I waited on the long line for 20+ min to order then wait 15min to get my order for oven baked chicken with a hint of jerk seasoning. Im in a never going back mode at this point. I drove 30 mins to reach here only to be disappointed. I did attempt to add several sauces but it couldnt be saved. Im curious to know if its a change in chefs since ppl did recommend to go to Yardies..
Made my order through uber. Took about 8mins for delivery. Food was great Im taking off 3 stars food was cold (everything that was supposed to be hot). I had more side then meat. I ordered small jerk with side of cabbage & carrots.

I don’t usually do reviews. This time I had to especially a time like this. Their jerk, soup and festival was always good. Idk if the cook changed in the past year or two but the food has gotten better. Everything well seasoned the oxtail is good. I feel like smokehouse had it when it came to oxtail & rice but yardiess has stepped up. They would be perfect if the rice had more kick to it like coco milk. That’s the only thing smokehouse got over them. I recommend this place the food has always been good but it gotten better.
Food had nasty after taste. Pineapple soda was flat. Plantains hard and prices high.

Needless to say, the food choices at Yardies are great, delicious and proportionately sufficient. The only issue Ive had with the restaurant is the sometimes subtle and sometimes direct rudeness and ill treatment by one of the servers whenever I come to order for no reason at all. We are both Black Jamaican women. The only difference between us is that she is very much more melaninated than I. She makes those jokes that circulate about rudeness of Jamaicans especially in restaurants come to life. Please try keeping mindless judgement, biases, jealousy and envy out of the business when serving, especially when the one being served is nothing less than kind and courteous to you and your establishment.
Delicious food, great and fast service.
Was craving some jerk chicken and was not disappointed. We got the lunch special with chicken and it was plenty enough to be stuffed. We also got a side of the pork and it was delicious. Will come back to try out the other menu items.
I have hardly eaten Jamaican food before, and I dont know how to order. But the lady in the shop was very patient and introduced me to their menu. If you want to ask me how their food is? I will tell you that their food is absolutely perfect! Five stars!!!

I do not understand how this Resturant is in business. I have tried them three times and the food as well as customer service is horrible. I last tried them on 11/30 and my body immediately ejected their food. Never have I ever been through this before.
BEST CHICKEN SOUP EVER: You ever had soup that hugged your insides at the first scoop. It is so good and filling, seasoned just right, not salty nor spicy but has just the right heat (spice) for soup especially when feeling under the weather. First time visit. In area for Wish packages. It was okay. Not best but not the worst. If you cant smell food before you see the restaurant, then its average. Jerk should be cooked on a grill not in the oven. No place has yet to top Jerk Hut on Merrick Blvd.

Chicken was good, no blood in the bones so that was a huge plus. It was a bit on the dry side tho. Festivals were good, so was the rice and veggies. We got the family feast for $48 and it serves 5 of us and came with a 2 liter soda. Everyone was satisfied.

I like this spot! They offer great food, they have a rich menu, The cook in that place is very trained, I love a lot tasting all their food. The dishes are consistently of high class, the service towards the guests is helpful. I go often to this restaurant and I was never unsatisfied. I highly recommend it.
This place is my first choice restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this restaurant. when I want to go to a decent lunch, this restaurant comes immediately to my mind. fresh and all sorts of food and a large menu.great crew, and agreeable ambience. The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! The employees hate their existence and it shows. They ALL have the worst attitudes, never have I seen a friendly face or heard a greeting. If you hate your job, just find a new one. I would suggest anyone thinking of visiting here to NOT even waste your energy. The owner needs to spend a day in his establishment and see how his employees are ruining his business!!!

Most delicious food around. The stewed chicken with shredded cabbage is what I order every time. It is consistently delicious and fresh. This is some of the best food I have ever had. Yum!!
Yardies is one of those places that is just reliable for good food. It may not be the greatest selection to some people that I know, but it is consistent. Portions are a good size. I definitely recommend the jerk pork, the soup, and festivals. Ive had everything here - its all good!
I went there for the first time on January 11,2019 I was not disappointed with my meal. I had the jerk chicken rice and peas.. I also had the beef patty it was spicy but good I will be going back. Their online menu states breast and wing but you get the just the breast.
First time customer on Uber eats, usually reorder from my regular place who ran out. Was hungover af! Ordered the chicken soup, felt better after two bites.. The spices were just right, the chicken was nice and tender. Will order again! Best soup I’ve had so far!
Just had my husband pick up stew chicken from this restaurant. The food was horrible. They used a seasoning that comptely over powers the flavor of everything. I think its cloves, because they used so much it made our mouths numb. Im jamaican and Ive never seen or heard of cloves being used in stew chicken or rice and peas. We use pimento or all spice, which is a flavor I enjoy. This meal was so bad, that we ended up throwing it in the garbage. Sad to say, we wont be back!
I had their jerk turkey for the holiday and it was great. The owner greeted me to make sure that I had everything I needed. I thank him and the staff because my family enjoyed the turkey.
Pros:1. 4 stars because this place is open late and well into the am- major pro.2. Food is fresh and for the most part employees have been polite.Cons:1. Theyre sloooooowwww as molasses. You would think they were killing the cow/chicken in the basement.2. I have also noticed that every once in a while the oxtail is a little tough. Its fully cooked but not tender and falling off the bone.

Today was my first time eating from Yardies jerk it was decent. I grabbed two chicken patties for a quick bite they were good. Then later I went back for chicken soup good but a bit to salty for me, jerk chicken peas and rice was okay
First of all why these people act like they’re doing you a favor when you go there to buy food? They need to check the attitude at the door or find a better job. Secondly, this the worst jerk chicken I’ve ever had from a place that’s supposed to be specialized in jerk chicken. The food was dry, full of jerk spice from the super market and tasted like dirt. Needless to say I WON’t EVER GO BACK...
This is the most sketchy place that Ive ever seen serve food. The food was pretty wack, the oxtail was flavorless, and even tho you get a lot, the quality sucks. This place looks like it was an old checks cashed location and it was straight up grimey. Overall garbage, dont bother coming here and find some other place to eat.
Food is good but too expensive
Decided to try their food for the first time and ordered a large oxtail, I paid $19.05 for my food and was terribly disappointed, it just tasted of jerk sauce, needed less powder seasoning and a dash of salt. I did not expect that a d at that price I was looking for it to be way better. Yes it really cost $19.05 total with taxes.
In search for a late night snack I discovered Yardies jerk on yelp. Yes! The jerk chicken was amazing and the beans and rice was soft and fresh. My gf picked up the ox tail and said it was delicious as well. I also picked up some festival because I read the reviews and they said it was good. This place is amazing.
Love there Oxtail plate, if you get the small its really for 2 people. I could eat it all but that would have me lazy for the rest of the day. Price is good for what you want.

The food was good, very tasty. Two bad things about it is that they messed up my order (I ordered rice and peas but they gave me white rice) and I found myself chewing on a foreign object. It looked like a piece of thread and it wasnt small either. This was my first time ordering from this Yardies. Never had this problem with the one near where I live.
Honestly I used to like Yardies when they first opened and the food they have is somewhat good but.. they really need to get it together. They don’t have a variety of foods which is annoying. They don’t even have breakfast so why not Add some curry or bbq and fry chicken. I go in there and they NEVER have carrot cake, they barely have workers back there and the ones that are there take their sweet likkle time. The one on elmont road is way better, at least they have breakfast and porridge.
This Yardies restaurant, located on Linden Boulevard is excellent. Food is great. Chicken soup is one of the best I have tasted, honestly. Service was good.
Good, but Ill try something else next time. I was looking for something on Uber Eats and this sounded good. Review I saw were mixed, but thought I would try it. Well, it says Uber Eats on their facebook page, but I could not get Uber Eats to work... said they dont deliver to my location (about 5 miles away). So went with Doordash instead.More importantly, the food. Obviously I wasnt expecting as much since this is takeout. So it wasnt as hot obviously. Jerk chicken patty was tasty and a different flavour than the usual spicy beef I get elsewhere. Jerk pork was tender, but needed more spice. The BBQ sauce they included was helpful in that department. Unfortunately, half of the meat was fat. Peas and rice were good enough. I also tried Jamaican fruitcake, which was good sort of a light fruitcake with a pink fruity icing on top. Nice end to a meal.There are no restaurants near my hotel, so I was bound and determined I was going to get Jamaican food while staying in Jamaica, NY. Despite the battle to find someone who delivered at least I finally got what I wanted. Just my final recommendation is Yardies is worth a try for delivery, but if I can next time Ill cab it somewhere else to get a comparison.
Went there on the late night with friends. I must say that I was totally impressed. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. Very tasty and clean. It was 3 am and the FESTIVAL was soft and fresh. I have been trying to go back everynight since then. ❤
I literally just tried this place for the first time! I ordered jerk chicken, baked Mac and cheese and potato salad. This place literally drenched my chicken and Mac with runny potato salad that was overflowing out of the plate and dipped two plantains in it as well! That’s disgusting and the whole presentation is just wrong! This is food that was delivered so who in their right mind serves a plate like this??? Potato salad with hot food? No wonder the it’s runny and my food is cold! I will never ever order from here again, and will make certain this is known all over!

Food is mediocre and way over priced. A whole jerk chicken is $21?! That is just crazy. The customer service there is horrible as well. They answer the phones like they dont want to be there. They dont even acknowledge you when youre standing at the counter window wanting to ask a question. I ordered here a few times but this last visit here just made me not want to give them my money or service. They need a training in customer service and they need to reevaluate their pricing and chefs.

I’ve passed this store a million times and never paid them any mind! Omg... i Ordered the food on uber eats due to the high volume great reviews. First of all, you will never find a Jamaican restaurant opened for 24 hrs. EVER! So take advantage! I ordered the jerk chicken patty which was one of the best I’ve ever had. I personally love my food with a kick and this was done just right. The staff held the last patty one the side for me after i called and requested an order 💞 super sweet and considerate people that even called me by name after the 10th call in a row lol. They never seemed impatient with me although my order took over an hour to get settled due to indecisiveness and Uber eats complications. Maybe they could tell I’m Jamaican but hey! I also plan on having my mother stop by the restaurant to try the famous festival and jerk chicken tomorrow so I’ll keep you posted! Overall, SO FAR, TOOOO GOOD! Check them out.
One of the most affordable places to get oxtail on linden. Place is kinda small but the prices are very reasonable. Plus they open all night so no nasty ass fast food. U can get a nice jerk meal at 3am, for $8 cant go wrong with that.
As a Jamaican, the portion for the price and the taste is authentic. I always buy there and is always happy. The staff is friendly and the place is always clean. On issue is that the food is always too salty please cut back on the salt.

Just ordered ackee and codfish ,so instead of eating it,Im drinking it .I ask for yam and bananas the yam came in peices, so whom ever services the meal, did a poor job at it. Please put back Jamaican chef in the Jamaican restaurants and use the appropriate seasoning for ackie and codfish .Will not order from here again

Definitely the best Lunch special in Queens good drink selection and big tunes on the TV for when ya walk in open till realll late but still taste great always my first option.
Best Jerk spot Ive tasted in NY. Ive tried other Jerk places and none compares to this place. A little pricey, but I have no problem paying a little extra for finger licking food.

2021-09-09Oxtail with Mac and cheese is great but stick with the small size, not sure if the large size is really worth it.Pickup section is to the left.Be patient, it is slow but worth the wait.Have your order info ready besides just your name.Their soup is great too but its not always available.Jerk chicken is not spicy or anything so I avoid it.

2022-02-23My stewed chicken was delicious. Cant wait to order more. It was a great portion as well for a small. My order was ready for pick up when I arrived. Had to wait alittle for the others picking up food. Good experience. Ill be back!!

2021-07-29Great price and very generous portions. We ordered a small oxtail & beans with rice and mac and cheese, which was enough for two people. Food tastes delicious. We called and were able to pick it up within 15 minutes.

2022-03-17I wish there was an option not to give a star. I ordered a jerk chicken meal and I was sent soup. I decided to give them another chance by reordering the same meal and my order was messed again. I ordered a jerk chicken meal and I was given a container of cold cabbage with chicken on top with no rice. I don’t know if the person preparing the meal is totally incompetent and can’t read with understanding. I will not be ordering from here again!!

2020-11-04Tender chicken and great rice and beans . Oxtail had lots of season flavor and very tender. Got oxtails sauce on top off Mac and cheese and rice which made it even better. Food was still hot when I got home 20 min later, I really liked that! Really lived up to the many reviews . Only downside is that Service is a tad slow like some reviews say. Otherwise it’s worth trip to get some great jerk chicken and oxtail .

2022-01-18Yardies is where I go when I want a delicious meal that I know will not disappoint. They really are above all the rest when it comes to Jamaican food! I buy 3 different plates so I have food for a few days. Everything is delicious!

2020-05-09I come here all the time its good late night food but last night I opened my food and there was what looks like a piece of metal brillo in the food. Im honestly speechless thank God it was very obvious who knows how many more of these pieces were in my food or others. Especially during a pandemic you would think theyd be extra careful to not let these types of things happen. Something should be done.
