Dr. Yen and his team are the best! I havent been to the dentist in years (mostly because I couldnt find any dentists I felt comfortable with and trusted) so it was important to me to find someone who is attentive and communicative. The receptionists were so sweet and helpful since I was a new patient. The office is clean and comfortable and I waited less than 10 minutes before I was shown into one of the rooms. They took great care of my teeth and were very gentle while being thorough. I also had a question about removing my wisdom teeth and Dr. Yen was so informative and listened to my concerns and helped me decide on what the best next steps are. I appreciate how smooth and easy the whole process was from my initial call to my in-person appointment. Would definitely recommend!
Dr. Cornelius Yen pretty much saved my 95 year old grandmother’s life. My grandmother had 5 bottom teeth that were rotting away. We had gone to see another dentist before and they were reluctant to perform on her because of her age. My grandmother stopped eating and was barely talking to us. I had no idea how much pain she was in till I finally took my grandmother to Dr. Yen’s office and he took an X-ray and reviewed her condition. He told me that she must be in so much pain, and I asked my grandmother is this why you’re not eating? She said it hurts too much and she didn’t want to bother us with her problems. After reviewing the X-rays and her medical history, he said i can fix this. My grandmother could not believe what she heard. 1 week later, 5 rotten teeth gone, my grandmother is now eating more and smiling every day! We will have to go back in a few weeks to fix her up with some fake bottom teeth, but Dr. Yen reignited the flame that was once dwindling in a 95 year old woman! And now I can’t wait to cook the biggest thanksgiving dinner ever for her! Thank you Dr. Yen, you’re a true hero!
Dr.Yen is one of the best dentist that I have ever been to. He was very professional throughout my procedure. The whole time he made sure that I was comfortable and understood what was going on and was on board with the plan. His staff was also very welcoming and nice. My mom had a nice time talking to them while waiting for me to be done. 100% would recommend him to anyone who needs anything done!
I have been going to Dr. Yen for about 2 years now and his commitment and patience is a true virtue in this field. When you step into his office it is modern, clean, and bright. His staff are wonderful to interact with and the daily operations of the office are run very organized. I had a crown replaced a year ago and have been happy with his work. I also go regularly to him for my cleanings. I would recommend this dentist. Hes someone I would trust to be a dentist that will do a good job and be fair with the services he charges. The staff are also bilingual in Chinese and English.
Was looking for a dentist due to pain caused by my wisdom teeth coming out. Was hard to find any because July 4th weekend was coming up and many dentist were out. Yen Dentistry was the only one available. From the beginning everyone was friendly, especially the receptionist. The dentist, Dr. Yen, quickly did an X-ray to determine how to extract the teeth. Once he was ready he explained to me the procedure to settle me in. He also informed me of the prices of the procedures beforehand which I thought was very honest on his end, usually people just do it and charge you after. Despite the complicity of what I was getting done, Dr. Yen was quick and able to keep me calm throughout the tooth extraction.
My mother went to Dr.Yen for an implant crown. We were referred here by another satisfied patient. He was very professional and nice. He took the time to explain what was needed and what all the options were. He speaks Chinese which was great for communication with my mother. She was seen quickly for every visit and they have Covid protocols in place. The assistant is also very friendly. Definitely recommend Dr. Yen for any dental needs!
I’ve always feared the dentist, and Dr. Yen freed me from my fears. He is incredibly attentive and knowledgeable and knows what he is doing. Also, he is interpersonal with his patients! I felt very comfortable throughout my procedure and follow-up appointments. Not only that but also his staff is kind and accommodating! Indeed, Dr. Yen and his team are the best!
I have been going to Dr. Yen for several years now and it is always a pleasant experience. He is very friendly, and highly professional. I always dread the routine teeth cleaning with the multiple sharp objects pricking and prodding everywhere, but Dr. Yen is amazingly efficient. Dr. Yen and his entire staff are the best. I originally started going to Dr. Yen in Manhattan after a dentist I had previously used kept having issues with the crown he gave me (it would not stay affixed). My previous dentist wanted me to believe it was normal to have recurring issues with a crown fitting. Dr. Yen fitted me for a new crown and now almost 10 years later it is still good. After Dr. Yen went to Queens I tried a new dentist here in Manhattan. This new dentist apparently believed she could tell me I needed major work and I would just believe her. I decided to go back to Dr. Yen where he was able to confirm I did not need all that work. After each of my 6 month checkups with Dr. Yen I almost feel guilty that all he says I need is a cleaning. You should know Dr. Yen and his office have the utmost integrity, which is apparently lacking in some other practices. If you are anywhere near the 7 train I highly recommend you use Dr. Yen.
My parents had a poor experience here. My mother had an appointment and was going to go in with my father, but they refused to let my father in even though it was over 95 degrees that day. My parents are over 80. They eventually let him in after some arguing. Then when my mother asked the doctor if he can put some sheets on the exam chair, the doctor said that my chairs are cleaner than your clothes! This is extremely rude and disrespectful. He made a cursory exam and did not do anything at all to solve my mothers toothache. Clearly, Dr. Yen has no respect for elderly patients.
I had an amazing experience with Dr.Yen! The check in was less than 5 mins, front desk and medical assistant were very nice! Having a bad experience with a previous dentist, he addressed all my concerns, walk me through a plan for my teeth, did a very thorough cleaning, and made sure I was feeling comfortable the whole time. Never rushed me. Very great dentist! I’m so happy, I left that office feeling 1,000%. Satisfied
Ive been coming to Dr. Yen for many years and hes one of those special dentists for a few reasons. 1. Hes efficient: Unlike some dentists Ive come across, he wont drag out procedures across multiple visits in order to extra bill you (or your insurance.) 2. Fair pricing: Dr. Yen provides great service, superior skills and experience for a value. 3. Genuine care: After a small cosmetic procedure I had done, Dr. Yen encouraged me to come back anytime I needed afterwards if I had any issues at all.You dont need to Yelp or search for any other dentists when theres dentists like Dr. Yen!
Dr. Yen is the best dentist Ive been to. His practice has always been informative and does a fantastic job on my teeth. His office is spotless and highly highly air purified (just in case youre worried about the coronavirus). Going into his office is like going to a friends house, comfortable, honest and caring.

One of my front tooth had a cavity so I went to Dr. Yens studio to get it fixed after a friend recommended him to me.The entire process was painless and he explained everything to me clearly before execution. He works fast around the office but takes no shortcuts. The filling was even and I have no problems with smoothly flossing it. Im new to the area and glad I found a permanent dentist thats dependable10/10 would recommend!

Dr Yen removed my upper wisdom teeth. I went into my consultation thinking I would have to reschedule an appointment and take time off work to recover. After an honest diagnosis of the issue at hand, Dr Yen was able to extract both of them in about 20 minutes. I left the building feeling amazing. (They were causing ulcers, which resulted in terrible pain) Once the teeth were extracted the ulcer pain subsided tremendously. I was amazed how simple the procedure was as well as affordable. I do not have dental insurance, so I am very grateful for Dr Yen and the team for taking such good care of me for a very affordable price.
Amazing experience. i have always been terrified of going to the dentists office. low threshold for pain. and overall bad experience with grumpy dentists. but dr. Yen was so pleasant and chill, overall a normal human being, which made the appointment much more tolerable for me, even enjoyable. also very calm and skillful during the procedure which is also a huge plus. everyone else in the office is great, too. friendly and down to earth. 110% would recommend. a gem :)
Dr Yen is direct and helpful. In 2016, The dentist I saw before him was horrible and wanted to do 3 root canal, I found Dr Yen on yelp and decide to go for an second opinion and he told me I didn’t need 3 root canal at all and he fixed the fillings that my ex-dentist did a bad job on. I’ve being coming here ever since and I’m happy with the fast and direct service and my teeth is doing well too:). The office is clean, everyone is friendly and professional. Totally recommend. I love that there’s no wait in the office too.

My favorite dentist of all time! During the pandemic, i decided i should power through and get my teeth fixed up. For background, i am terrified of dentists. I had a root canal that i started about 10 years ago and just never finished because i was scared. Ive been back every single week and im happy to say im finally up to date with everything! Before I begin. I want you to know I hated going to the dentist, but coming here really changed my opinion of going to the dentist...To start off, the waiting room is very welcoming, the lighting is bright so you can see clearly and the receptionists were very nice as they greeted me. Most dental office I went to looks so scary with the dimmed lights and cranky receptionists. But when I entered this dental office I felt different. I didn’t feel scared or just nervous. Here I didn’t mind waiting, but of course I didn’t even have to wait long before I was called in.Dr. Yen and his assistant was not only very professional but also very gentle and always smiling, my previous Dentist didn’t even smile at me, but when I saw Dr. Yen greet me I felt relax and at ease. I got three of my wisdom tooth pulled out at his office, I went a total of 3 times and each time and I enjoyed every minute of my visit which is very rare in a dental office for me. I even can say it was the best experience I had getting my tooth pulled out.Dr. Yen explained the procedure very clearly so that I felt safe that everything will be done well. Dr. Yen and his assistant even asked if the music was ok for me. The music in the patient’s room was very soothing to listen and other times it was nice rocking out to the music too! It was like a different experience every time!Overall, from the warm receptionist to the gentle Dentist, even if this office was in Chinatown I will happily make the trip there because every time I visit I feel very happy with my experience! Which again is very rare for a dental visit!If you are nervous about the Dentist always and didn’t have a good experience with your previous Dentist then I recommend you go to see Dr. Yen!
Thank you Dr. Yen! Did wisdom tooth extraction and teeth cleaning. Both were first time for me. He explained the procedures and told me how the feeling is. He is very knowledgeable, experienced, and optimism. And his clinic is clean.
I haven’t had many dentist in my life that have made me feel as comfortable as Dr. Yen. He made my tooth extraction way less stressful and painful than I expected. Great personality and even had very good music playing!!! I’ll be seeing a lot of him over the next few months and I can honestly say that that doesn’t give me any anxiety.
Dr. Yen is amazing. He’s fluent in English and Chinese. He’s friendly and makes his patients feel comfortable and less nervous. He’s competent and knowledgeable of his skills. I would give him five stars, but the receptionists are not very knowledgeable. I always had difficulties every time I called the clinic. Every time I call, I’d have to speak to two different people and get interrupted by the receptionists in the middle of a sentence, I have ask the same questions at least twice. I always get frustrated when speaking to them through the phone. Perhaps it’s the language barrier, but being rude is unnecessary.Dr. Yen, however, is wonderful. I would definitely recommend to see him.
If you’re looking for a great dental practice, look no future! This is the dental practice I go to for my dental cleaning twice a year. The dentists (Dr. Yen & Dr. Young) are really great, along with the dental hygienists. They do their best to make sure their patients are comfortable. Highly recommended!
I cant speak to how Dr. Yen is as a doctor. He may be a wonderful person. However, I never saw him. I was looking for a new general dentist to get a crown after a root canal and called this office. They took down my information and then I didnt hear from them for a week. I called back myself and they took down my information again. They had no record of my previous call. They did call me back this time, but then they asked me to get my root canal x-rays sent to them and they would set me up with an appointment after they get them. I had them sent both by mail and by e-mail, which I reconfirmed with my endodontist, and then I never hear back from Dr. Yens office again. I gave up at this point and found another dentist that Im very satisfied with.Highly unprofessional staff. They need to get organized.
Had 2 of my wisdom teeth removed and I was nervous because it was my first time but the service was very clean, professional, and the doctor Yen is good at explaining and making you calm. So it’s definitely a good one!

Dr. Yen is very accommodating when it comes to my nervousness & my inability to stop laughing because i was just that scared. He helped me with some anesthesia to help with the numbnesss so i wont feel any pain. I was really scared to take my wisdom tooth out because i have a phobia of medical procedures, but he made the experience very, very painless and comfortable for me. He even let me wear a blindfold I brought to ease my nerves, since I didnt want to see what they were gonna do.

I have never encountered such a kindhearted, professional and honest dentist. I did n’t believe in website ratings before. Thank God, I was very lucky to encounter dr yen. Other doctors said that my teeth should be opened immediately for root restoration and put on implants. It took thousands of dollars to get my teeth done. At that time, I was a little skeptical that I was so serious. Fortunately, I went to dr yen to re-examine. He showed me a detailed explanation of my X-ray film and said that my roots were completely fine. Just clean your teeth every day. Patients need dental implants, doctors may earn higher income, dr yen is completely sincere and responsible professional ethics, is professional ethics plus professional knowledge! I give you ten stars! Please believe that the five-star rating of dr yen is true!

2022-08-06I’ve been going to Dr. Yen for about a year now and have been really happy with my experience. I feel like he truly cares for the health of my teeth. He and his team have provided excellent service whether it has been a simple cleaning or more extensive work (did a wisdom tooth extraction). He has never pressured me to get any work done that I did not need. Looking forward to future visits and improving my oral health. Thanks Dr. Yen!

2022-03-05I hate the dentist but have full faith and trust here. Dr. Yen is super easy to talk to and is overall a very cool guy. But because of his good service he is super busy. As long as you make your appointment for whatever you need done you should have a good experience. The negative reviews I’m reading (while my mom gets her teeth cleaned) were so unreasonable and i guarantee there’s implicit bias behind it.

2022-05-28I am so grateful to Dr. Yen and his practice for taking me as an emergency dental case today. I am visiting NY and lost a crown yesterday. Dr. Yen was not only able to see me within 24 hours, but expertly performed a not-so-routine re-cementing of my crown! Everyone in his office was professional, very friendly and caring. Such a wonderful experience.

2019-04-30Dr. Yen is a fantastic dentist! The dentist I saw for years prior to him told me me that I didnt have cavities. However, with Dr. Yen, he informed me that I was given false information and backed it up with evidence from my x-rays.Other than his dental work, he has an easy going attitude which is conducive to calming his patients while reassuring them what procedures they will undergo.His physical office is very well-kept and cozy.
