YiFang Taiwan Fruit Tea in other cities:
Yifang taiwan fruit tea I is one of my favorite bubble shop in taiwan. Im very happy they open the store in manhattan nyc! They have wild range of choices for the drink. I always cant decide. So today I got one with milk and boba, one fruit kind.1. Brown sugar pearl matcha latte- their brown sugar boba is amazing. I can really taste brown sugar flavor for the boba. Make sure you shake it well before you drink it. This is my first time having matcha flavor, ( I usually got original milk one) Im so surprised the matcha and Bowen sugar match so well. The brown sugar balance the bitter taste of matcha. So its not too sweet at all! ( I didnt add any extra sugar, all the sweetness come from brown sugar boba)Love it, highly recommend!2. Yakult passionfruit green tea:Both yakult and passionfruit has the sourness to it. Very good if you want something cool and refreshing. Yakult is like Japanese yogurt drink, but its not thick like the American yogurt. I feel this drink will taste even better in the hot summer time!
Fantastic bubble tea, great substitute from other unnatural sugary places. Great workers, very speedy. They do their best despite the language barrier. Only place that does mini pearl bobas. It’s much better than them big ol’ black balls you’re used to. Just a few blocks from Bryant Park so go enjoy your drinks there after!
This place needs a lot of improvement! The tea latte has so much chucks in their foam which is not evenly mixed. And the second drink i got had boba filled up half of the cup and they all sticked together! For reall, other location on the island never done something like this!!! Oh and the brown sugar drink they made turned out to be purple, like how?!!
Yi Fang is a chain from Taiwan that serves excellent tea drinks with natural ingredients. You can pick the level of sweetness and ice, most of the drinks can be had either hot or cold, and they are very, very tasty. Used to have them almost on a daily basis whilst living in London. Worth a stop for a cold refreshment or a warm sip!
It’s not as good as i tired this store couple months ago, it was good. I tried mango polemo sago couple times from the other store in flushing, 100% love it. so today i decide to get the same drink from here, and it was terrible — a lot of big ice in the drink, and the drink itself is very watery, no strong mango flavor — nothing like the one i got from flushing. The girl was having a bit of attitude when telling me this is a smoothie, seriously, not even close!! and it’s a $8 drink!!! not going to this spot anymore.
This was my first time trying YiFang, I’ve heard a lot of hype but I was a bit disappointed. I got the YiFang fruit tea since it’s their signature drink and it was good but not incredible, tasted like fruit tea and it had apple and orange slices in it. The passionfruit seeds made it a bit too tart for me. In my opinion the drink wasn’t anything to write home about and I definitely don’t think it was worth ~$6.50 (but to be fair, that is typical bubble tea prices these days). I do want to try other drinks on the menu though. As for this location, they only have one menu and it’s really tiny and placed in an awkward location (like, away from where you would order but in the way of where people pick up their drinks) so that was kinda annoying, I definitely think they need more signage here. The service itself was fine though.
Taro Green Milk Tea, hot, 33% sugar. Pretty good, just the right amount of sweetness for my taste. There was a reasonable amount of taro, mostly granular in size and some pieces about 1/4 the circumference of the straw. Drink was warm so it was easy to drink. I didnt taste quite enough green tea in the drink though. I chose lactose-free milk.
Lame lame lame that a lot of their drinks are not available. No matcha latte?? Its like sentencing your own business to death when matcha is still the rave/trend currently. I also just noticed today that their boba is small and extra chewy. Personally I would prefer them bigger if they are extra chewy. Small and extra tough frustrates the heck out of me because I can never chew through any boba and so despite multiple chews, I still have to swallow them whole, This biologically frustrates my brain.
So happy that YiFang is finding a good footholds in the US. And while Ive never been to a YiFang in Taiwan, it felt like a warm, motherland hug when I was craving a tea that didnt have milk in it (because you get in that mood sometimes, you know?), and I serendipitously walk right by YiFang and their fruit teas...and it was perfect. Oh and in addition to bobas and mini bobas and grassy jelly for toppings, they have aiyu! (For those who dont know its like a lemony jello that goes perfect with fruit teas.)Decor is gorgeous: captures a great luxe zen feel. Only seats are counter seats, but I never expect to go to a boba place to sit down because you just dont sit down over boba. You just dont. And when I went to go order my fruit tea, somehow the cashier just knew that I I wouldnt like it too sweet I suggested I go to 30% sugar instead of 50%. *love*If you are on that Tiger Sugar/black sugar milk boba train, they have that here too (because its literally black sugar and milk), and they do a version of the black sugar drizzled on the cup here, though admittedly, not as instagrammable. But I would be surprised if it tasted too differently.
Worst branch ever. I am the fan of bubble tea and went to every single of their branches in nyc multiple times. This place generally have an attitude, some of the staff are constantly rude, e.g. I said can I get the fruit tea, the women snapped what fruit tea? (They only have one original fruit tea) also this store stopped the lane line completely, so that you cannot call them AT ALL if you have any problem or issue, for example when they made a wrong order (e.g. when they didnt put the aiyu that they charged me) If you have option Id suggest to travel to other branches a few stops away.
Took over half an hour to make my order. The staff has a lack of urgency that I’ve never seen before. On top of it, the wait for the drinks was not worth it. My iced brown sugar matcha bubble tea was subpar, and my boyfriend was given some kind of red bean concoction when they had ordered a Taro drink. 30+ minutes for the wrong order. Gong cha and coco are down the street so just stick to them.
I have no problem with Yifangs brand and products. But the clerk at this store rolled his eyes the whole time. Are there any customers in the store who are impatient? The milk tea made out of it burns to death with no reminder at all. Really bad buying experience.I have no problem with YiFangs brand and produce quality but hey this was a very bad shopping experience. The staff was rolling her eyes the entire time during ordering the tea. There wasnt event many ppl in the shop-two of us actually. And the tea was so hot that it burns my lips that I still cant drink it 20 mins after. They didnt even remind me about it.

2022-05-09Love the teas and aesthetic here. The boba itself and sago are just ok, both a bit overcooked. The blended drinks tend to be too sweet for my taste. Service was friendly and efficient, no long lines. Prices are reasonable for NYC. Id come back for their teas.

2022-07-21I had tried YiFang Fruit Tea when I was in Taiwan and liked it. My family also sent me some tea leaves including Sun Moon Lake Black tea so I can brew at home. And this is what I ordered. I enjoy the fresh taste of the tea and boba has great texture. I would recommend.

2022-07-21I absolutely loved this tea it was so good and had real fruit in it. I wish they clearly labeled what was in the tea. I ordered the mango seasonal tea and it has passionfruit and apple in it. I’m not mad at it because it was delicious but I wish I had the heads up.

2022-02-08Ordered the fruit tea with boba, 0% sugar via Uber eats. Agree with the other reviewers—the bubble tea is fine but nothing to write home about and definitely feels watered down. Sort of like the la croix of a fruit tea…anyway, my biggest gripe is the eco-friendly (?) packaging. Actually, I have no idea if that even is the intention bc the straw is made of plastic. I CANT SEE WHAT’S INSIDE MY BEVERAGE. Not only is this aesthetically not pleasing, i’d like to know what I’m consuming. I’ve had unsanitary things show up in my boba in the past (at kungfu tea) so would prefer my beverage container to be see through. Probably won’t be reordering…

2020-03-06I love YiFang so much because their tea is always so fresh. This location of YiFang is pretty new, but a perfect stop if you’re near Bryant Park and craving some bubble tea. This location is really clean and has around 6-7 seats along the wall! Wouldn’t suggest coming with more than a group of 2-3 as it isn’t very large but this location is perfect for two people to sit and chat or just pop in and get your drink and go since it’s near so many trains. My friend and I got the Lemon Green Tea with Homemade Grass Jelly and the Taro Latte! They actually make their grass jelly in-house. Their grass jelly is sweet, but not overly sweet! Their taro latte is also super fresh! Don’t come here expecting a purple fake powder taro drink!! They use actual taro and blend it very finely into small pieces and a couple small chunks which provides great texture. 100% worth taking a lactase pill for this drink.

2020-03-13I tried the signature Yifang fruit tea and the brown sugar pearl matcha latte. The fruit tea was sweet and refreshing with strong flavors of orange, apple, passionfruit and especially pineapple! I love fruity drinks, and this was so satisfying. They recommend the lowest sugar amount for this because its already super sweet. I think its still even a bit too sweet with the least amount of sugar. The matcha latte was much thicker and creamier than I expected. I wouldve liked it to be a bit thinner and easier to mix, but I still loved the combination of the bitter flavor of the matcha mixed with the sweet flavor of the brown sugar. The drinks were ready super quickly after I ordered, and the shop was clean and orderly. This is a nice location to grab a quick drink to go or chill inside and enjoy the calming interior.😊

2020-11-15YiFang is my go-to fruit tea place when I used to live in Taiwan and when I heard they opened one in NYC I was so excited. I came to the store today and it reminded me of home, the decorations and menu are exactly the same as the stores in Taiwan. I got their signature fruit tea as well as the seasonal mango fruit tea. Both drinks taste the same as I remembered, but the price were wayyy too expensive, $7 for the large mango tea and $5 for the medium fruit tea. The thing that disappointed me the most was the service here, the cashiers attitude was not good at all and sounded like she was annoyed by us because we spent a minute on deciding what to get. Overall, i would not recommend and wouldnt come back here again when there are so many other good bubble tea places in the city.

2022-06-01Really love the teas here. Specially I can recommend the passion fruit green tea. Friendly stuff working extremly fast and clean. So the Tea is never sticky or something like from other places.
