Ive tried calling 15 times since yesterday to getthe leak in air conditioning unit fixed and each time Ive been place in hold indefinitely. The longest I stayed on was 15 minutes before giving up. Ive had 3 service calls to evaluate the problem but no follow-up to inform me when this would be fixed. I bought the AC system 3 years ago and have had issues each year with the unit and their response. Last year an inexperienced technician was sent to fix a unit and ended up literally destroying the air conditioner. Ive never experienced such poor response from a company and I have never posted a negative survey. This is beyond unacceptable.I would like to mention that James has always tried to help and has returned calls last week. Greg , a Sr technician has also been great but only to figure out what the problem is. We know its a leak. NOW PLEASE FIX IT YOST & CAMPBELL!! I cant keep taking days off of work to have this investigation going on forever! Not to mention that its going to be a broiler this coming weekend ahead.
Ell where do I start .. First i purchase my heating &Cool system about 4 years ago and I paid 9000.00 . Since than they have come to me 7 times because my system wasnt working in the dead winter. MY FAMILY Was in the cold for weeks unitl they came .I had to pay 200.00 every time along with paying other fees . which turned into thousands of dollar . Now my AC doesnt work and Im in the heat with my children waitING for them to come back to fix the problem . I believe the are scamming people out there money .. Now the part that broke down is under warranty but here the catcher you are responsible for ther cost of the LABOR . WHICH IS 200.00 A HOUR. Avoid this HVAC company. Poorly run and will WASTE your TIME AND MONEY .
They were excellent. A little more expensive than some other contractors but well worth the price. Install went flawlessly. Made minor changes at my request without any hassle or additional charge. The installers were highly professional, friendly, polite, and highly knowledgeable. They were employees of Yost & Campbell and not subcontractors. They left work areas cleaner than they found them. I dont know any job on my house where I was happier with the contractor than I was before the job began, but this was the exception. I am very happy I chose Yost & Campbell.
Service Technician Sam Haddad is a professional. Listened to all my problems. Looked at the heating unit ( gas valve was cycling on and off )took his time to look over the entire system. Trouble shot the system and determined the thermostat was bad. He took me over and showed me how he determined the root cause. I replaced the thermostat and the system worked perfectly. You don’t find people like this anymore. Thanks for your service. Job well done.
An amazingly responsive and professional team. Our system was damaged and we needed a system quickly before the weather turned cold. The team was quick to make a suggestion that was efficient and most cost effective and had a quote within hours of visiting. Since that point, everything was extremely professional and over-delivered at every step of the way. Every associate who came and did any part of the installation was amazingly professional, knowledgeable and did great, clean work.I would highly recommend them
Installed 5 ductless a/c/heating units in our home. Joe DiDomenico was outstanding in listening to my concerns/questions and designed the system so that there wouldn’t be ducts all over the outside of the house.The men that came to do the install-can’t remember everyone’s name (except Juan Carlos) were the most courteous, respectful, clean, diligent workers I have encountered! They drilled through my brick and plaster walls and there was not a crumb for me to clean when they left at the end of the day. They started the job on the agreed upon day and even finished a day ahead of schedule. I am a tough critic and they exceeded my expectations. It was a pleasure to work with them!
Nice work on a difficult ductless install (townhouse) which involved opening walls/ceiling so that most of tubing and wires were hidden - came out very neat and well done but a lot more work. Mitsubishi is high grade equipment and Con-Ed rebate made investment worthwhile. Will save both electric (replaces 5 old wall through ACs and provide heat as well - win win).
I recently experienced significant flooding in my basement due to Tropical Storm IDA and needed to replace my boiler and hot water heater. I had received a proposal from another company that seemed high to me and so I contacted Yost & Campbell as a result of a positive word of mouth recommendation, They presented me with a proposal with 3 options to choose from and even the Best most expensive option was significantly cheaper than the pricing from the other company. When I had questions about the differences between the Best and Better options, the salesperson was very responsive and patient with my questions. The subsequent installation went well with 2 workers on-site all day for the several days it took to complete the process. During installation, I again had some questions about the positioning of the PCP tube for carbon monoxide venting and the team walked me through various options for unobstrusive but safe venting. Lastly, even the main office was responsive and courteous as they called me almost every day to arrange the installation worker visits, the electrician visit, and the final Start-up visit. I highly recommend Yost & Campbell for anyones heating system needs.
I had four feet of water in basement during storm. Lost furnace and hot water heater.Called Yost and Campbell.They scheduled replacement units. Job was done in a very professional manner.I recommend them highly.They originally installed gas furnace from going from oil to gas.They are the best!
We received a generator quote from them, which was super delayed and required multiple follow ups. Upon a request for additional info / detail, the person refused to break down the quote, which ran into the mid-teens thousands, into its constituent parts. Terrible responsiveness and generally unprofessional exchange / experience
We have been using Yost and Campbell for a couple of years now . We have been very disappointed with their service recently. I had called in because our first floor heating wasn’t working . I got an appointment 4 days later though we regularly use them for maintenance The technician came and he falsely claimed my ecobee system wasn’t working and he asked me to order one .. he didn’t do a check up of the circuit board or any other thing . I immediately checked with another ecobee face and the system wasn’t working and we realized it was fault with the unit . He did not do the necessary circuit board check up which was required . I had to call in and complain and they give me a follow up for 4 days later . We were already without heat for 7 days and they didn’t care much . I also got maintenance done for all the heating units in October too and the technician told me the unit was fine and the heat will kick in a little later which it never did .Basically we are very disappointed with their maintenance and as well as how they deal with emergency calls.
We couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience with Yost & Campbell installing the ductless units at our house. They were professional, courteous, prompt and efficient. Each tech was knowledgeable and respectful. One of techs even ended up finding an unrelated issue in our basement and offered advice. We would absolutely recommend them and would use them for future work at our house.The current ConEd discount incentive was very helpful in reducing our out pocket of expense, since the rebate goes directly to Yost & Campbell. Very convenient to not have to worry about the hassle of going through ConEd directly.
I couldnt be happier with Yost and Campbell. I contacted them after another company left me high and dry from a botched installation just 2 years ago. From day one, they were straightforward, avoided over-promising and turned out to deliver beyond my expectations. They upgraded my original unit to an energy-efficient model, found the leak from the previous installer and repaired it in no time. They quoted a price up front and made it clear what I was getting for that amount. Thanks for providing high-quality service!
Well Im not surprised actually. Customer Service is a joke, you have none. I can only imagine the disorder in the office - no one seems to EVER have a solid answer. You book appointments and dont show up, you dont return phone calls and your technicians are incapable of answering the simplest of questions and them blame someone else - complete fabrication..... Yost and Campbell broke my heating and A/C unit and refused to reply to their error and fix it. They lied to me about who serviced it, they did not return phone calls and as a result we still have no heat. Shame, shame, shame on you.
March 2020: I was really impressed with the installation of my two new Carrier mini splits. I live in a condo unit in an old school building, so it wasnt a straightforward installation. Yost & Campbell were able to make it work by using my dropped ceiling space. They were also really helpful in the beginning with the estimate and helped me to understand everything before starting the job. Especially back in March at the beginning of the COVID-19 regulations, they were really professional, wore masks the whole time, and cleaned up everything really well before they left.3/23/22 Update: Unfortunately, I have to update this post to reflect my more recent experience with Yost & Campbell. While the installation was great and the people Ive spoken with have been generally helpful, our Carrier unit has had a lot of issues and it has been taking over a year to resolve them. They recommended the Carrier units because the parts were made nearby in Westchester and could be ordered quickly and easily, but after this experience (still waiting for parts ordered in August 2021), I really would not recommend Carrier ductless units to anyone. The Carrier facility being located in Westchester didnt result in quicker delivery of parts, in our experience.
When we needed a split unit installed to replace our regular air conditioners, we hired Yost and Campbell. Kevin came by to see the job and was very honest with what he thought would work best for us. He gave us a very quick turnaround with the estimates, which were fair. We hired them and within a week, they were working on it. The employees who installed the units, were very professional, neat, and did beautiful work that blended into the house. The split units are a huge upgrade and we are so glad we did it, and very happy we had Yost and Campbell install it. We will definitely be doing business with them again in the future!!!!
Cannot say enough good things about Yost & Campbell. From the consultation through installation it was really a great experience. Customer service is great, as are the technicians who do all aspects the installation. The project took longer than anticipated but it was because they took such care in their process and made sure we had everything we needed to have heat for the winter and were able to address unforeseen complications. Everyones gone above and beyond for us and its been great! We will definitely use Y&C forever.
What a great service by Yost and Campbell. I hired this company to repair my air conditioner that was out of operation for about 5 years. The representative was very informative and educational.The technician was phenomenal and communicated with me a great deal which help feel comfortable with his recommendations. He was very kind and went the extra mile to perform his task in an outstanding fashion.I also had the opportunity to speak to a sales representative from Yost and Campbell to obtain information about purchasing a new system in the event my air conditioner was unrepairable. He offered me great advice for a new digital system but also informed me of the value of my current system.I do have experience with Yost and Campbell because I purchased a new boiler and hot water system from the company about 6 years ago. I have been a happy customer with this company since 2007 which is when I purchased this property.
Yost and Campbell maintain both heating and central air systems for over 5 years now ... the staff is very professional and always helpful. The technicians are well-versed in their trade and do offer expert service, repair and suggestions for how best a homeowner can keep their systems running smoothly. Yes, I would recommend Yost and Campbell to everyone reading this review.
Our AC broke on an extremely hot day. Within hours of our phone call, Yost & Campbell sent us a great repairman who thoroughly assessed every element of our system, diagnosed the problem, and replaced the necessary part. The repairman was professional and friendly and did a great job. I cant recommend Yost & Campbell enough.
Yost& Campbell did outstanding service converting from oil to gas!! They were very reliable, did minimum damage and were very professional in the conversion from oil to gas.Team members worth mentioning:1. Stephanie-operations office manager, handled everything professionally and with lots of sparkles and hearts.2. Leo-project field manager helped us select most efficient equipment for our needs and his overall input was very valuable.3. Lisa assisted in scheduling and answering questions.4. Jose and Orlando were fantastic in installing the new gas piping in our basement with minimum destruction.5. Edis and William did a great job replacing the air conditioning system.6. Idelson coordinated the work with Con Ed, and was involved in making sure all the gas appliances functioned properly. He did an excellent job.Overall, we would recommend highly Yost & Campbell in their job of converting our home from oil to gas.
They installed new split system last November and I used the heating all winter. I was having a problem when I switched over to A/C. I have now had four technicians here and it is still not working. Had their installation manager and their technical magician team show up three days ago and it seems to be working perfectly after they found it had been wired wrong when installed. Yost and Campbell was persistent and it paid off, fixed a tough problem and made a customer very happy. Good company, good service!
We have two separate air conditioning systems in our home. Both went down in 100 degree heat. The service technician from Yost & Campbell diagnosed and repaired both systems within 2.5 hours. He fully explained each problem: clogged condensation pump and line on one unit and burnt up capacitior on the other, and outlined repair costs up front. Both systems are now running perfectly. Every service tech that I have encountered from Yost & Campbell has been conscientious and professional. We could not recommend them more highly.
Called for service on central air unit. I knew what the problem was and explained it to the service rep. Was given a 2pm appointment, service guy didn’t show up till after service hours. He requested to look at blower in the attic and then didn’t inspect at all. Did a cursory check of the outside unit. He did nothing and was charged for telling me something I already knew. I’d say awful service but it was no service. Called different company that repaired it $500. I’ll never use them again and recommend no one else does either.
On Saturday, Memorial Day weekend, the heat stopped working at my Mothers Home. Called Yost & Campbell for a service call around 8PM - gave the information to the answering service. within 10 minutes I had a call from the service tech Luis who said he would head out on the call and be at the house in about 90 minutes.I explained that Mom is 101 years old and needs the heat to the raw weather. Luis arrived earlier than expected, checked the boiler found a defective part, replaced the component and started the boiler. He also checked the hot water heater to make certain that was working. Luis waited until the heat was coming up before leaving.Luis was caring and went the extra steps - Yost & Campbell shows that they honor their contracts and care about their customers.Thank you and Mom is warm and cozy on these chilling days
Go....ey was a god send. He fixed all the issues and identified more that previous plumbers failed to do. The main issue was rectified and subsequently solved the majority of the furnace problems that was tampered by the previous people. G....Y deserves high praise (and Raise) for what he taught me regarding the functions of the furnace and how to be aware if future problems do occur. He is a Quality person and definitely worth more than his weight.
Although their proposal was a few hundred dollars higher, I chose Yost & Campbell because they are in business for so long, so i assume they are doing things right.Their technicians showed up late the day of the installation they were here for 10 hours and screwed up the boiler install to the point that a constant knocking on the pipes kept us wake all night. Contacted them the following morning and they told me that Leo the install supervisor would come next day to take a look at the job. Later in the day they contacted me a saying Leo would not be available and they would send another technician to solve the issue. That technician came spend spend all morning put some kind of detergent into the system and told that would take care of the problem, this was on Friday and the day of the installation was on Wednesday. Later that day the knocking of the pipes returned and i had to shut the boiler during the night hours to allow us to get some sleep. Call back again on Saturday and was told they would be back on Monday to do some changes into the installation. Monday come and nobody showed up until noon so I call again and was told that someone would be here on Wednesday to work on recommendations that the technician that came on Saturday suggested. I complained that it was a week later and that it was shameful that they could not do a simple boiler install right and would take a week to fix the problem, after further arguments they agreed to send somebody early next day. They came early, installed two valves to regulate the water return and water level in the boiler and it is working fine now.It seems that Yost & Campbell employs unqualified technicians and does not have proper supervision because it took them three visits and a lot of headaches from my part to get the job done satisfactorily
Highly professional and courteous people. They installed top quality heat pump at a very reasonable cost. They also handled the state rebates so that I didnt have to bother with it. Y&C started and finished the project right on time and while they were working they would leave the house clean every day. Highly recommended!!
I’ve used Yost & Campbell in the past for an emergency boiler repair job. I was extremely satisfied with their response time, professionalism, and attention to detail, so I decided to hire them for a very large project. When I purchased my home last year it had already been equipped with ductless AC units. However, simply put, they were a mess and needed work. Instead of going through the process of trying to repair, I opted to replace everything to ensure it would be done right, and grab a warranty in the process. Having used Yost & Campbell for other work, I felt good about going with them. The work entailed removing the entire existing system (condenser, lines, heads, everything), and replacing with all brand new Mitsubishi equipment. During the initial sales visit Keith was knowledgeable, provided options, painted a picture of how/when everything will get done, and provided an accurate estimate (no surprises later on, no bait and switch). As we waited for the install date to arrive, the project coordinator Tracy made sure to keep me in the loop on status of equipment.During the installation, technician Jesus was super professional. He wore booties, tarped all high traffic areas, vacuumed upon completion of each day, and made sure to ask/check with me on anything concerning the esthetics. Even the stuff you don’t see was done so meticulously and neat. In stage 2, the electrician worked efficiently and managed to get his end done without disrupting or shutting down my homes power entirely (always appreciated when we’re working form home and need internet, power, etc.). In the final stage, Joel came out calibrated everything perfectly and walked me through operating everything. Not only showing me how to operate each unit, but all the helpful hints on how to ensure the unit operates at maximum health, etc.In summary, these guys know what they’re doing. If you like structure, you’ll like them. They map it all out, do things in phases, and their workforce is highly skilled and consistent. I’m a big believer in “you get what you pay for folks..”
Service is good, representative very cordial and good at their job.The area that has to be adressed to make this a first rate company is to keep appointmentments, as scheduled. There has been 3 times when appointments were made for between 9 and 1 and there was no notice that their technician was running behind schedule. I had to re-schedule once and lost two full day s of work the other two times. I hope they correct this problem.
We have been using Yost and Campbell for 13 years. Service has always been easy and the technicians have been friendly and efficient. This past February, I am so disappointed and let down by the company.I called to have a service as my furnace was making a terrible noise. The technician quickly identified the problem being with our pump and it needed replacing. All was well until the next morning when my husband awoke to water all over our basement. Upon a quick inspection, he discovered that our whole house humidifier had not been reattached after the service. The humidifier had leaked all night all over our floor. I even filled out the follow-up survey email with my concerns and I sent them only to yost and Campbell even though I could have published it on a public forum.I called to have another service where technician #2 agreed that technician #1 didnt replace pipe to the humidifier. At the end of his service he also notified me that our humidifier is damaged (its about 1 year old and was installed by Y and C). I expressed my concerns and was assured I would be called by the office.No such call came. I had to call and hound. 3 days later I requested a manager. I was put on hold and then the original phone person said she could handle my issue. I once again said I needed a manager at which point I was told one would call me back. A manager named Claude called my husband back 6 hours later (this was end of business on a Friday). My husband expressed his concern about how this was being handled but was understanding (covid has taught us what really matters). Claude said a 3rd technician would come and survey our furnace to assess the situation.No one came Monday. We had to call again. It wasnt until Thursday that someone came to the house. Technician #3 told us that the humidifier was damaged because technician #2 installed the pipe incorrectly. So now we have had 2 employees make mistakes. Claude has not returned our calls. My husband called again today and got a female manager who insisted on arguing with my husband instead of focusing on resolving our problem. She feels that offering $150 off another part we need is sufficient in making up for the flood, plus additional service calls we had to leave work for in order to make repairs happen. We are asking to not be charged for any of the 3 service calls required plus a discount on the part we need. She didnt feel that was reasonable.*edit - before technician #3 came the $150 was offered.on Friday 2/26 Claude increased the offer to $200on 3/1 it was increased to $250. Despite these increases, we continue to feel that is not sufficient for the aftermath. We have asked for a refund on the original service call. Yost said no. They will not be charging us for the other 2 appointments.We have been more than patient, more than flexible and are completely fed up. Despite our long and mostly positive relationship with Y and C we will be moving on with someone else. Yost and Campbell management has made it abundantly clear that the inconvenience (flooding, damaging our humidifier, and 3 days worth of servicing) caused by them isnt an actual problem. Additionally, the manager was actively uninterested in repairing the relationship when my husband mentioned what a deterrent his conversation with the female manager had been. Message received. We are done.
When purchasing my home my inspector identified water hammer in my steam lines. I cqlled Y&C to come out for a full inspection. They identified and corrected the issue, a blocked pressure gauge, and continued to further evaluate my system, identifying damaged radiator valves, an improperly plumbed return and supply loop, and assess my systems ability to expand heat into a room currently without a radiator. Additionally, the service crew was friendly, and fully willing to discuss the system in detail with me. Glad I called them. A stark improvement over the last company I had a service contract with.
They’re very good at the actual work.I’m completely satisfied with the system they put in.And also they are very clean workers.But their office management and scheduling is a fiasco. If they schedule any appointments for you verify it several times because they cancel at the last minute. I’ve taken off work specifically for service appointments and then found out the day of that they weren’t coming. Also confirm the length of time the works going to take. They extremely underestimate it many times. The work I had took a total of six weeks to accomplish, which wasn’t bad in itself it’s just a hard to schedule all of those days off to be available to them. The office scheduling is very confusing and difficult to deal with.When you’re dealing with the workers they’re great when you’re dealing with the office be very skeptical.
Yost and Campbell has been outstanding. First class professional service and installation for our standby generator as well as service and upgrades for our existing heating and air conditioning. Their staff is extremely knowledgeable across the board, very prompt, and the entire organization is terrific to deal with. A huge improvement from our previous HVAC vendor. Highly recommended.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with Yost and Campbell. They were prompt and professional. They started work on time, and kept work areas clean. They were also honest about what they could and could not do and worked with my GC to ensure a smooth operation. Definitely recommend, especially John (the sales specialist), Juan Carlos (very knowledgeable ductwork), and Leo (very responsive and efficient). Great team.
I’ve been using Yost and Campbell to service and maintain the heating and air conditioning systems for my home since I purchased in 2017. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone within their response area. I chose them because my parents used them since I was young. Every change of season I have the techs come and service whichever system is appropriate for the time of year. I even used Y&C to change from my old run down central air system which was an energy guzzler to ductless wall mounted units that now allow me to maintain different temperatures in different bedrooms and our main living area on the first floor. I have had nothing but good things to say about the techs who were all knowledgeable in their craft but also polite and considerate of being a guest in someone’s home. I also can say that their office staff and customer service is top notch..
Brian, the electrician, arrived punctually, was polite and professional in manner. We appreciated his evaluation on the readiness of our hundred year old homes electrical system for an upgrade to 220V. His input was invaluable. We are able to work with a competent and friendly Project Manager, Tracy, to understand our options. All in all great service comes at a price some might be willing to pay.
I have used Yost & Campbell least 4 times for HVAC repair, each time the service provided has been fair to poor. Most recently they concluded the dampers on my HVAC system were not working properly. The technician took over a week to complete the repairs, waiting for parts, left a mess, and later I learned he installed the wrong parts. Specifically, he installed a damper, meant to regulate the air flow, that was 2 inches shorter than the air duct and did not find and replace the damper that was actually not working. Essentially I paid over $1000 to make the problem worse. After realizing the system was unevenly heating and cooling my home I went with another firm to fix the system. I now realize how obvious the faulty work was. For these reasons I recommend finding another service if you are having HVAC issues.
The technicians that were sent to my home were very nice and accommodating. The office staff and service dept are atrocious. My AC is 3 years old and has been broken 7 times. The service dept told me this is very normal?!?! Do yourself a favor do not use Yost and Campbell. Total rip off!
My air condition stopped working. Called in for service. They charged $175 plus tax. Tech guy came. He basically tested the condenser. Less than 5 minutes. Called in for replace of the system. He said, he will present different price options. He never get back. Not recommended. Technical Skills are poor. Lacked of communication and follow up.
Straightforward call to make an appt. They give 1-6 pm window for a visit ?! Is it hard to sort out daily schedule and be any more specific? Initial visit/diagnostics ~$170. The issue with AC system was capacitor, took half hr to figure it out. They ended up charging ~$300 to replace a capacitor, which really costs ~$30 !? Even with manual work and time to replace it, three times that amount perhaps is reasonable, but $300 !! Not the way to keep a new customer.
Water began leaking early in the day from my water heater and it turns out that I needed a new unit. Yost & Campbell accomodated my emergency request for an assessment and they came through. Their level of profesionalism was great. Fernando in the office was very helpful and gave me peace of mind. Thank you
The technician was very professional and he advised us of things that we needed for another problem that we have. My husband and I asked him a question about it and the tech looked into it and suggest what will be needed.I liked that and the fact that this company also has a way for the customer to look at the person who will be coming to your home for the repairs. I would definitely recommend this company.
The entire team did an amazing job. Incredibly professional and talented. Jose and his assistant were terrific. They were courteous and worked efficiently. The electrician, Brian, was patient and knowledgeable. The liaison for the office Tracy was literally the best customer service person I’ve encountered. She was patient, knowledgeable and went the extra mile to make sure the operation ran smoothly. I would recommend this company and it’s team to anyone.
Yost & Campbell was amazing from start to finish on our recent no heat situation in our home. As we approached a cold weekend one of our our furnaces stopped working leaving us with no heat on the main floor of our house. We called Yost & Campbell on Friday morning and they sent over our technician, Jeffrey, right away. He was professional, knowledgeable and very helpful. He diagnosed the problem quickly and was able to get the part ordered that we needed to get the heat back on. Yost & Campbell got the part much quicker than expected and was able to get our heat back on the very next day for us! They sent Jeff back over on a Saturday, he completed the job and thankfully the furnace was working again. We are so grateful for the excellent service we received. I can’t say enough great things about Yost & Campbell. It’s not our first time using them and we will absolutely be using them in the future. We can’t thank you enough!
Excellent job from start to finish and beyond. John has been a responsive rep, Tracey has project managed the job very well and Juan went above and beyond to deliver an awesome system. We replaced our 1920s radiators with a high velocity system (integrated with an instant domestic hot water system). It works beautifully - great heat, very quiet, very non-intrusive. Juan worked with us the whole time to make sure we were happy - from every decision like the placement of outlets to letting us know where they would be working each day to keeping everything clean for 3 weeks of what could have been a very dirty job. He’s an extremely hard working and nice guy to deal with. Thanks team.
Omar was absolutely wonderful. He took his time & provided us with the different options for our new heating system. He explained everything in detail & in laymans terms which is very important. His was an absolute gentleman & extremely professional & very personable! We had our central AC unit installed 2 weeks ago. Tom was amazing! He came out to our property and walked though our home explaining what we needed and gave us several options to choose from. He took his time and explained the differences between AC units. He let me know that his office assistant, Tracey would call me and take care of setting up everything, and she did! Tracey walked us through our entire process and got us on the calendar! She touched base with us regularly and even managed to get us scheduled sooner than we expected. Thank goodness she did!!! We have a 10 week old baby and would have had to relocate through the massive heat wave had Tracey not worked her magic and got us on the calendar ASAP! Tracey was amazing and I recommend everyone ask for Tracey when scheduling! A week after installation she followed up to make sure everything was ok and made sure that her and her team met our expectations. Tracey is amazing!The guys who were here installing our unit were great! They were polite and courteous. Joel & Anthony were here everyday bright and early. They worked all day for 4 days straight In the heat of our attic. They were always smiling and happy. They kept our home very clean of dust anytime they had to cut out for vents. From start to finish Yost&Campbell were very good. A guy came out to price the job for me first. An owner of the company if I remember correctly. He was very helpful and personable. The install of my new furnace was quick,quiet and clean. They removed my old furnace and took it with them so I had nothing to do at all except turn on my thermostat when they were done. Very professional. I’m so happy with their workmanship and my new furnace.

We have installed full house generator from this company in 2012. Since 2016, the generator haven’t worked properly even once, even after many repairs from the company. Each time, they would give a different reason for charging a fee, we paid for all of them, but when power was out, generator never worked probably. Finally, this year, after they came to repair the generator many times since 2016, they told us we didn’t do maintenance. None of those repairman told us we need to do maintenance, since they were here so often, we assumed they have done the proper maintenance anyway. Now, the repairman and the manager told us we added new sub panel to the generator that we need to upgrade the generator. First of all, we never add anything to the generator, they even specified the steam room which is untrue. All panels were there when we installed the generator, nothing was added. What really bothered us is that they have changed stories many times and always tried charging more money for new service. As a very dissatisfied customer, we are tired of dealing with this company.
Yost & Campbell has been servicing my Hvac for 20 years. They are always prompt, attentive and thorough. When I have needed major repairs, such as a new AC condenser this year, I checked prices with two other companies just for comparison, and Tom, the owner personally gave me the most competitive quote from the start, didnt play games. One technician in particular, Dave, was able to diagnose a difficult situation recently when my dampers were not working properly. I cant recommend Dave highly enough. He worked late at my home, did Internet research overnight, and came back the next morning to tackle and solve the problem.Updating this from 2016 to now in 2021 and still very satisfied with service and quality of staff. Ive recently had Luis come to my house for the annual service and he could not be more thorough, polite, and comprehensive in his approach to servicing our HVAC. He was masked and put booties on his shoes upon entering. He explained everything to me. I really like everything about Yost & Campbell.
Have used Yost and Campbell since 2005. Excellent service and excellent techs. Techs who stay on the job until it is completed perfectly. In the last couple of months I have been working with office worker Tanya regarding a water heater and warranty. She has been extremely helpful, efficient, patient and very kind. Zero stars. I had a very bad experience with this company. I initially called them to have a technician to take a look at my heater. The technician came and could not tell me what was the problem because apparently the September day when he came was not cold enough. I called the company asking them to correct their wrong by sending a technician on a colder day. But they were only interested in my money and offered me a membership instead of doing the work that I initially requested, that I paid for and was not done. I definitely would NOT RECOMMEND this company to anyone!

I remember my parents and neighbors trusting Yost and Campbell with heating/air conditioning issues as a young child.Upon having an air conditioning problem in my Westchester home, I immediately called them. Mike Badillo, the tech arrived promptly. . Mike was very friendly, extremely helpful and explained the process of how central air conditioning unit works. He clearly expressed the longevity of my present unit and the future options of replacement.Mike also followed protocol of covid rules by wearing a mask, coverings on his feet and gloves. Yost & Campbell is fantastic! We needed a standby generator installed quickly before winter set in. Yost & Campbell understood my concerns, worked with me, and were able to install it in about 2 weeks. The other companies were talking 2-4 months! Y&Cs administrative staff was super responsive + the installation team ensured every detail was covered and left the work area spotless. I fully really recommend Y&C!!
The team did a great job installing a high-velocity system to cool the second and third floor of my older home while preserving as much living space as possible. There were some initial communication/coordination issues, which were resolved quickly. Tom and Tracey were very responsive. The job was completed quickly except the electrical as one of their electricians didnt seem very motivated to run wires through my plaster walls, but came around in the end after my own electrician offered to handle it. Permit process went smoothly. Install looks great. I cant wait to try it out this summer.
I installed 4 ductless units by Carrier. The gentleman that arrived to perform the estimate (John) was polite and patient with all my questions. He explained the units and their operation which led me to be comfortable to move forward and purchase the units. The installation crew (Juan and his partner) were polite, neat, tidy and checked in with me at all stages of the installation. Their work was neat and their were professional. The electrician that came at the 3rd stage of the installation was nice and efficient. I had an issue with one of the units not blowing warm air the next day and the service man (Mike) came out within 2 hrs and fixed the problem (it was a closed valve). In total, I was satisfied with my experience and the units. Between the 4 units (2 upstairs and 2 downstairs) I am able to heat my 3300 sq home with comfort. I cannot wait to see what the A/C component of the units can do in the summer! I would highly recommend these units. They blow so quietly, you can hear a pin drop and Yost is a responsive Company to your needs.
During the fall of 2018 Yost and Campbell installed a new White Rogers Thermostat in my home. I was not pleased with the lack of communication provided by the technician and wrote an unfavorable review.However, Stephanie Beltre, the Operations Office Manager contacted me and extended herself in every possible way to discuss my review. She was patient, attentive, and informative. She advised me that the technician was informed of my complaint and lack of communication.I agreed to remove the negative review ONLY due to the effort and outstanding customer service that Stephanie provided. It was a pleasure to work with Stephanie and I must say if it was not for her customer service skills I would have not removed my comments. Yost and Campbell should be very proud to have Stephanie to represent their company.Overall, I have been very pleased with Yost and Campbell and will continue to utilize their services going forward. Thanks to Y & C I have a very warm home on this freezing 10 degree day.
I usually do not give reviews, but with Yost & Campbell Company i will say that they are very understanding and very quick to get equipment installed. In my case my grandparents boiler broke on February 27,2019 and the whole house was freezing cold. Unfortunately my grandmother suffers from health issues and she can not stay in a cold place. So I called The Home Depot and they referred me to Yost & Campbell Company . I told the company the situation and within less than a hour they were at my grandparents house getting the place checked and getting an estimate. Later I recieved a call from a nice lady name Tracey, she is very kind and helpful. Tracey guided us, me and grandfather all the way through the paper works. The next day 02/28 Tracey advised us that the equipment was being order and that by the following day we would receive the equipment. The following day 03/01 came, they removed the broken boiler and installed their new boiler. It was nice they left a sticker with their company name and phone number. Now my grandparents house is very warm and this was all because of Yost & Campbell company. I am very grateful for their help today March 4,2019 I receive a call from Tracey informing me of my receipt copy, while we were finishing discussing her and I both said thank God everything got done before the storm, we both laughed after. I appreciate every bit of help they gave to us.
I have been dealing with Y&C for a few years now. I can honestly say the consistency of excellent service and the value for the customer is truly fantastic. I have had multiple experiences with them from AC to heating to generator. They have both sold me new units as well as replacing existing units. I highly recommend them! From management to the technicians, they are knowledgeable, professional and generally fantastic to work with.

Yost and Campbell, specifically Roberto did a fantastic job with the generator tune up (oil change, oil filter, air filter, spark plugs). Roberto knows general and generators, and provide guidance on powering down the generator once day during multi-day outages, and how to do that and add 5w30 oil. Yost & Campbell was responsive to us in the middle of a busy season when our a/c failed, squeezed us in to replace our heating and a/c system on a holiday weekend and the system works perfectly. The owner, Tom, personally came over twice to check on his crew’s progress while the work was being done and called us afterwards to check in. The company was recommended to us by friends and we would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Yost and Campbell installed a new heating and air conditioning system in our house. The tech team showed up in full masks and shoe coverings. They were professional and kept us informed as the project progressed. Due to the age of the unit that needed replacement, they had to order new parts that they had to come back to replace.The entire experience from the original call to Yost and Campbell through the end of the project was very professionally done.@
They gave me a great deal on a new AC and installed it very neatly and professionally! They beat out two other reputable companies for the job by a substantial amount. They also responded right away when the heater would not come on later in the fall. And they did a prompt job of servicing my heater. They are always on time, give you 15 minutes notice before they arrive, are very professional, and they clean up the work area before leaving.
The gentleman that came to my home was amazing! He took his time, discussed the problem with me, and provided helpful information. He was adhering to the safety regulations and kept his mask, gloves and shoes covered the entire time! Thank you, and thank you again Yost & Campbell!!!A day later after I posted this review - However, when it came to the charges for the services: I spoke with Fernando in the office. I took notes when I initially called for service and he told me that being that I went through Home Depot to hire them my cost was $99.95 to diagnose. When the technician comes, if he needs parts, etc. to fix my unit, the $99.95 will be deducted from the total cost since I paid this in advance. Well when I called back and inquired about my charges they let me speak to Fernando again. He told me that he was sorry, but I misunderstood what he said - he never said that and I was incorrect in what I understood. In other words, ‘you don’t know what you are talking about’ is the way he was responding to me. I am someone who doesn’t just listen to someone providing me a quote, I take notes and write it down. I also repeat what was said to me for verification. So, for me Fernando sealed the deal - I WILL NEVER USE Yost & Campbell again!!!!!
We hired Yost & Campbell to install a new HVAC system and generator, and were very happy with their work. Every employee that came to the house was punctual, they all did meticulous work, and they were very thoughtful when it came to wearing masks, gloves and booties when they entered our house. Every day they cleaned up, and left our house in a neater state than they found. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to tackle any HVAC project, big or small.
Yost & Campbell is THE WORST!! A technician came to my home for an annual heating service yesterday and I asked if he could check my heating system since the hot water has not been circulating for quite some time. He discovered that the recirculating pump was not working because a replacement part installed by another Y&C technician in 2016 was wired incorrectly, and when the technician tested it,it arc flashed. When it appeared the part had burned out, Y&C insisted I pay for a new part. When I refused they sent the technician away even though my house was now without heat. Once I agreed to pay a discounted price for the new part ($300) the technician returned, and informed me Y&C was going to charge him the additional $250 for replacing the part! The technician and Field Manager had pictures of the faulty wiring of the original part, but when I explained this to the Operations Manager she denied this, and told me the technician said the wiring was fine and the part was inoperable when he arrived at my house. This was a complete lie! I still cannot believe that this is how Y&C treated a long-term customer, or that they would expect their technician to pay for the labor to install the new part! The technician was awesome, and managed to not only rewire the original part correctly so the recirculating pump started working for the 1st time in 2 years, but he also made sure the entire system was working so I now have heat throughout my home. I will never again use Y&C after this experience, they care more about making a profit than their customers. But to the wonderful technician Idelson who was my hero, who discovered & fixed a bad installation from another technician to get heat back in my home, I hope you find a better job with a far better company, because Yost & Campbell is HORRIBLE!
Our experience with Yost and Campbell was great. We had two Mitsubishi mini split air conditioners installed. The techs Joel and Diogene did an excellent job. They were on time, professional and respectful. They made sure before they left everything was clean. Brian the electrician was fantastic and the office worker Stephanie is pleasant and very accommodating. The team seems to care about the work they do. He was easily accessible,answered all our questions and concerns. The staff who did the actual installation were outstanding . Jose and Joel are a phenomenal team. They managed all the quirks of our particular installation with great aplomb, never being overwhelmed by any stumbling blocks in their path. They were always polite and gracious and neat. I cannot recommend them enough.
I did extensive research into a full house generator and the companies that provide them. Obviously this has been a busy time in that area and one person and one company really stands apart. Tom Monahan at Yost & Campbell was extremely knowledgeable, professional and responsive. You would have thought I was buying 10 units, but I’m just a regular guy living month to month and trying to provide safety for my family. I can’t say enough positive things about Tom Monahan and I look forward to a long relationship with this company.
New central AC unit was installed in August but air was leaking from unit so called them to fix it and the guy came in and taped with just regular duck tape! Later they replaced with silver tape after I complained.When they estimated for AC replacement, they suggested us a kind of fancy thermostat to replace our old one. but brand new Trane thermostat with Wifi never worked and realized there was some issue. I told them but they were not helpful so I have to call product customer service to find out. They were not helpful either at all so I decided to return it. I bought another thermostat from Amazon which is less expensive and works great. I asked them to refund the Trane thermostat which wasnt working properly from beginning.They did not want to refund full amount since they replaced the one I bought from Amazon. which was fine but they charge so much for the labor after all of those issue we had. They agreed to refund part of it and took over a month just to refund! They were not good at responding me and no explanation for what was going on and finally bad excuse for the delay. I would not use them again. It was one of very frustrating experience with any contractor.
July 2021: Omar came to my home to do a sizing and proposal for a new tankless water heating system. He explained everything to me in as much detail as I needed and was able to answer all questions. He also turned around the proposal to me in just one afternoon...this was very quick and impressive! I really appreciated the professionalism and service.2020: The technician did a great job. Made a few adjustments to the setpoints on my tankless water heater, and was able to improve heating throughout my basement.

I was in a tight spot after a supposed boiler cleaning from a different vendor. 24 hours after said cleaning, I had zero heat. I called yost & campbell and spoke with a rather cheery Tracey. Tracey started off properly by recommending I contact the company that performed the initial work, which would save me money. I declined that option and went with Y&C, i was given a window of 1 - 6 pm, and to my surprise I was contacted by the tech at 12:30pm. The tech discovered the issue in under 5 minutes and had the part on the truck. Heat was restored and we moved forward with a maint contract. I would recommend Y & C to anyone in need of home heating assistance.
Prompt arrival as scheduled. Gave ample notification prior to arrival. The service technician (Mr. Jordin) was courteous and very professional. He answered all of my questions regarding proper maintenance of my heating unit and troubleshooting tips. Also gave friendly advice on how to save on heating costs. I had an excellent experience overall and am pleased.

Tom was my first contact with Yost & Campbell, and he made every effort to help me understand the various components of this project. Then, Stephanie coordinated the project from start to finish with knowledge, empathy and extraordinary management skill. Although complications arose (none of which had anything to do with the performance of Yost & Campbell), she maintained admirable equanimity as she dealt with and resolved each issue, while responding efficiently and informatively to my every concern. Ive been a long time satisfied customer but the last couple of appointments were extremely disappointing to the point that I was ready to switch service providers. Then manager, Greg, came out and made everything right! He was informative and knowledgeable and has restored my faith in this company. We were still charged for the material but not the labor (we appreciate that he was willing to intervene and understood our frustration). dealing with him has been great.-He has also extended himself to help us with any aftermath issues we had due to this transition.Initial Review below-After reading these great google reviews, my husband and I decided to have this company transition us from oil to a gas boiler. They seemed like the dream team to hire.The reason for the one star in short, is now after the installation of the new boiler, the same day it started working, it started to leak and Yost & Campbells explanation is that the citys water pressure is too strong for the boiler they installed. When asked why didnt they evaluate this before installing, the manager Stephanie said that we are 1 in 5 out of the 100 people that this can happen to so they dont take the time to do this for every client- meaning were now responsible. So now after forking up $13,000 for the transition, they are asking us to pay for the parts and labor to fix this problem since its not included in our contractSo we paid all of that money, to basically have a brand new LEAKING boiler!!!!!When I tried to speak with the manager to explain my frustration she basically gave me an attitude and said that theres nothing she will do except send a plumber to see problem and let us know the ADDITIONAL cost to fix it. Then the same day, they began to harass my husband to pay the balance and threatened that they wont send the plumber otherwise!I wish we researched this company better and read their YELP reviews. Terrible experience.
First time customer. Service person was prompt, friendly, and did the work that needed to be done, rather than what could be done. Meaning they kept cost in balance with our needs. The dispatchers were super helpful and nice, and I would highly recommend Y&C services.
We are so happy with the fantastic service we received from Yost and Campbell in selecting and installing our Generac generator. They answered all of our questions and kept constant communication with us every step of the way from idea to completion. We put in a call to Yost & Campbell as we had no heat - the service guy Mike came and was quick to discover 2 problems - the pilot light was out, and the thermostat was fried. He relit the pilot light, and also carefully checked all gas lines to make sure there were no gas leaks. He then replaced the thermostat, which apparently was not replaced when we had the new boiler installed (as it was a brand Y&C never carries). We contacted Kevin who, I am delighted to say, arranged for us to be reimbursed for the cost of the new thermostat. We are very pleased with the service and follow up from Yost & Campbell!
We moved to the area in 1992 and have been losing power on a regular basis a few times a year. We endured it but after Hurricane Sandy we investigated installing a whole house generator. We hired Yost & Campbell who we were already using to service our air conditioner and heating systems. They were responsive and easy to deal with. The generator has been exercising once a week and Yost has maintained it annually. We finally saw it in action on 8/16/2016 when we lost power for about eight hours. During a severe thunderstorm we heard an explosion and the lights went out. A few seconds later, the generator came on and we had power! It was amazing! We were able to finish the laundry, watch television, use our telephone and our food didnt go bad. We were able to carry on as usual while the rest of the neighborhood was dark. I highly recommend installing a generator and using Yost and Campbell!
I was told about Yost & Campbell through a work friend and made the call to schedule an estimate. The appointment was made and I had arranged my schedule for the consultation only to get a call the day of notifying me that they dont service my area. I live just outside of Queens on Long Island and they only service as far as Queens. At least I received a call so i wasnt waiting around on them, but i wish when i gave them my area code they couldve let me know that day that they dont service my area. Im extremely disappointed because i heard great things about this company and looked forward to them doing the work and the fact that my schedule was rearranged to accommodate them coming for a consultation.

Yost & Campbell did a full assessment of my needs, recommending the perfect generator. They made the whole thing turnkey, from pulling the generator to installation to the final inspection. Perla resolved an issue efficiently and professionally. She took the time to explain each aspect of our contract and adjustments that were made. She set up appointments and made sure I understood the servicing of our equipment and the best times to schedule cleaning and maintenance. She summarized all of our conversation verbally, followed up with an email, and is sending a hard copy in the mail. She did all of this pleasantly, patiently, and in a friendly manner. She was excellent; I give her an A+.
Both men who came from Yost and Campbell were knowledgeable, polite and efficient. They talked to me about the system - and they knew what they were doing and the problems to look for. I enjoyed being with them very much - they represent the Bronx (and Yost and Campbell) very well. Thank You! My only recommendation for other customers is to find out in advance if your system is serviced by Y & C - I have a Daikin minisplit system. Unfortunately this service visit is a one-off because they only do Mitsubishi and Carrier mini-split (ductless) regularly (and probably carry those parts - but not Daikin). For Y & C: Daikin is high end! Almost as good/efficient as Mitsubishi for about 30% less cost to purchase - better than LG too...Anyway, I wish I could join their service club because future repairs (though my system is only a year old) would be much less - rather than one-off service visits. We returned home from vacation to find that our hot water heater no longer worked. We called Yost and Campbell that evening and they came over on a Sunday night approx 1.5 hours after I placed the call. We received excellent help from the technician, Roberto (who came to our house a total of three times), to Tom who came to check on the progress on the installation of a new heater on Monday to Gina who followed up with a call on Tuesday. Would highly recommend!
They just finished a complex Oil to Gas conversion for us and was great throughout the process. It was a big investment for us so we had lots of questions before, during and after the conversion. Stephanie handled it all with poise. There must have been over 100 emails between us and Coned to make this happen. The install looks great and very happy with the investment we made. Thanks again
We had the existing boiler in our new house serviced for annual maintenance and discovered that it was not operational. After receiving 4 quotes, we decided to go with Yost and Campbell. John Iacono did a thorough explanation of the process, what would be needed and what would be involved. The quote, including rebates, came in very reasonable, and any questions and concerns I had were answered to our satisfaction. I coordinated with Karen Carfora to schedule the installation and worked with her throughout the process; she was great with keeping me informed of any issues such as the delay from our town in getting the permit. And, even with the towns lag in issuing the permit, there was a short and quick turn around for Y&C to schedule the installation. When the date arrived, the workers arrived on time to perform the installation. They were faced with a somewhat small working space and had to disconnect the washer and dryer because the two machines blocked the pathway a little to provide enough space for the boiler to pass through. They did this job without problem, cleaned up any debris and removed the old boiler. If I was to have any issue with the whole process, it was that it took two days to complete because an electrician had to come in to finish up the job. My wife and I both work and to take off an additional day unexpectedly can be challenging and inconvenient. However, it got done and we are happy thus far with the new boiler, especially as the weather is starting to change!
My experience with Dan the service person that was sent was amazing so friendly and informative so willing to help gave me some great advice on how to keep my system in good working condition I felt safe with him,with employees like this in your company I would recommend Yost and Campbell to all my friends and family, also want to mention the people that answer the phone when making an appointment are pleasant and helpful with answers to your questions. I say Yost Campbell is an all around great service company, That I every have dealt with.
AC unit stopped working Memorial Day weekend. Y & C got a technician to my home on Sunday. Misael did a full check of system & immediately determined we needed a new capacitor & recommended a hard start kit. He is very capable & courteous. No charge for emergency service on weekends because I have service contract. I strongly recommend Y & C
These people care! When my generator broke during Isaia storm, I could not get my service contract people to pick up the phone. Yost & Campbell understood my predicament, took me despite not having a service contract with them, and came on the same day when others were booking a week out. THEN Sam went ABOVE AND BEYOND by finding the part we needed from an old generator to tie us over and coming on a sunday night to install it! Amazing.

Y&C came in with the best price. Others were close but I decided to go with them due to their reviews on Yelp, Angie’s list and a few other sources. They also have excellent credentials related to this field. Today you never know what kind of workmanship you will get after paying thousands of dollars on projects.Price: very fair – I am very happy with what I paid.Workmanship: Excellent – I can’t state how happy I am with the quality of the install. We had a new hot water tank installed. The technicians were timely, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. They were also very clean about the installation work, materials and cleanup. They explained the basic details of the new tank and expressed assistance at any time we needed.
John arrived early. He explained everything about a ductless system with extreme detail. Answered all my questions before I asked. Convinced me with no obligations that a ductless system is the way to go. Good by window air conditioners. Installation of the mini split system was quick. Electrical done in a day. Heat works excellent. Cant wait to test the system during the summer. Stay tuned.
Your guys Joel and Anthony finished the job yesterday except for installing the second thermostat. They said someone would call me in a few days to finish this. The job entailed replacing one old system in the attic which can only be reached through a small hatch on top of a ladder, not easy to work with. .We also replaced another large condenser in another inaccessible place.The guys were neat,, efficient, innovative, knowledgeable, pleasant and courteous. I couldn’t have asked for more. Please let them know.My next door neighbor needs two new systems. I recommended you to her. Hopefully you’ll be hearing from her soon.
To be honest, Yost & Campbell has not provided a 5-star experience. Id give them about a 3. They provide long service windows, and every single year, I am last, which would be fine, except that every single year, they call to tell me that theyll be late. Every. Single. Year. This year, after raising my voice, I was able to get someone here almost on time (but still late). He did the job in 15 minutes, which was way too quick for a yearly furnace tune-up. Within an hour, I had no heat. Of course, since it was the end of the day, a call to them was considered an emergency, even though it was totally their fault. The knucklehead forgot to turn on the burner when he was done (and in a hurry to leave). It was a cold night! I called first thing in the morning and I thank God for Lisa on the other end of the phone. She was able to get knucklehead back here quickly. She was professional, patient, empathetic, and excellent in every way. She made me a priority...and made me feel like a priority. I was furious, but she even got me laughing. Lisa is the only reason that I am giving 5 stars. She reflects the excellence that should pervade Y&C, but sadly does not. Thank you, Lisa! I appreciate your 5-star service...you are a pro and I hope Yost & Campbell knows how lucky they are to have you. I was ready to quit them for good, until you picked up the phone!
Outstanding Service! Sunday afternoon I noticed a pool of water n basement floor and my water heater leaking at the top of the tank. I called Y&R at 2 pm and a technician named Sam quickly diagnosed the unit was not repairable. An order was placed for a new one and I was told someone would call me Monday morning to schedule the installation. I received the call at 8:30 am that another technician by the name of Idelson would do the install that morning! Job was completed by noon! Both Sam & Idelson were extremely professional. Couldnt ask for a better experience.
Y&C got the job done, I will definitely use them again and sign up annually for the service package. The techs knew the issue and addressed it in the best possible way to save me money. The techs were very nice, took the time out to answer every question. Also gave me tips on keeping my system running good. Totally satisfied and pleased with the service. This was the first time I used Yost and Campbell for hvac as well as for emergency standby generator service. Just had a routine tune-up, oil change, etc. Tech showed up on time, called (and emailed) before arriving, as Id asked. Knowledgeable, easy to get along with. Perfect. FYI, the install process a few years ago was similarly excellent and professional. Highly recommend the company based on those experiences
Heat went out on chilly Saturday nite. I called Yost & Campbell first thing Sunday Morning and spoke to the answering service. They told me someone would call back very soon. Within 5 minutes the Service technician, Eric called me back! He told me he could be there between 2-5pm. okay not too bad right? around noon Eric calls back and says I can be there in 10 minutes and then he actually appears. Eric was clean-cut & courteous. Very limited service times with very wide window. I waited 2 days for a 1-6 pm window. I was called at 10:30 am to ask if that was Ok. I rearranged my work schedule to get home by 1. They cancelled my appointment at 3 because of rain. They told me their next available was in 5 days. I will find an alternative. They are not service oriented.
This is a company you can really trust for quality of work and an appropriate charge for that work. I have had experiences with others whose prices were very inconsistent with water heaters and boilers. This company also does a comprehensive maintenance. Very happy with their service.

David was a very skilled and courteous technician. He arrived promptly and went above and beyond in his duties to repair our humidifier. He was pleasant and knowledgeable and we will definitely ask for him in the future whenever we have to book a service call appointment.
My Navien CH 210 boiler was no longer functioning properly, leaking and no hot water. Reached out to Tom Monahan, the President of Yost & Campbell. He gave me a reasonable price for replacing my unit with a brand new gas fired Navien NCB 240 boiler (Go Green). Within a few days, one of his installation crews was at my home replacing the boiler. The crew was knowledgeable, informative and very tidy. I was very impressed with how the job was completed. As there company logo says, “ Yost & Campbell Heating / Cooling Experts “.
From the initial estimate until the installers left the job, the entire experience was a good one. If I had to make any complaint it would be that calling the office and being transferred around and speaking to several different people was a little frustrating. The initial contact and the installation were great. Communication between the two interactions were lacking. Overall though would definitely recommend.
Last week I thought our service expert was Noel. He cleaned the burners and vacuumed the heating unit. He determined that our problem was mainly (and likely only) with the thermostat. So he installed a new one for us and helped us to program it, showing us how it worked, etc. Noel at all times was polite, friendly, and respectful. He was obviously knowledgeable about our system and was very willing to explain and teach us about it. He recommended that we consider changing our old, non-working humidifier to a new, more efficient, and healthier one.Yesterday Noel came back with Eric to install the new humidifier. We had the same kind of positive experience with both men as described above. Only one glitch: before leaving, Eric forgot to re-plug in the used water exit pump, so we had a minor flood. As soon as he heard, Eric came rushing back, all apologetic. He plugged it in and helped us to mop up. He took upon himself all the blame for this lapse, but I suspect that I may have had a big part in it for distracting him with a lot of last-minute questions before he left. (I do ask a lot of questions.)In sum: both Noel and Eric were gracious and helpful, as well as competent.I give them the highest rating possible. Thanks Annmarie, June W.

Requested estimate and was quoted 135.00 for the technician to come out to check water heater but was billed 189.00 for tech to come out to take a few pictures. Called company to find out why was I charged more than quoted and was told that is their standard price. Will not use them again if you use this company get it in writing forThe estimate before giving your billing information.
We are always pleased with the service we receive from Yost & Campbell. Daniel has been our service tech the past 2 years and is always thorough and informative with the annual maintenance he provides. We asked him about possibly replacing our current thermostat with one that uses wifi. He suggested that the one we have is working fine and will probably continue doing so for a very long time. He doesnt like to recommend wifi models due to the high price and risk of service interruptions. He did like digital thermostats and gave us a recommendation for one that might work in our house. He was very open and honest which is what I respect most about Daniel and the company!
I have had two very good experiences with Tom and his people from Yost and Campbell. When I first bought my house I was having a problem with my heating system. I called them and they came promptly, diagnosed the problem and fixed it without any issues. More recently I was putting an addition onto my house and I wasnt sure what HVAC system I was going to use in the new part. Once again I called them and Tom came over and explained my options. When I decided on what I was going to go with they came and installed it and Im very happy with it. I would definately recommend them.
Weve had a pretty awful experience. A service technician came on June 20th to inform us that we had no output and zero refrigerant. Our unit had a leak and the two possibilities for a solution was to use a product that could possibly fill the crack and then add the refrigerant so the unit would cool once again. Or, we could schedule an emissions test to identify where the leak was and what needed to replaced to fix it - a seemingly more permanent solution.I called on June 21st to schedule the emissions test and was transferred to a different department and left a message. My call and message was never returned.My husband called the following Monday to schedule the test. The earliest date we were given was July 2nd.The test was set up and we were told to call the following day to schedule someone to come out and read the test. We called, left a message, and once again no one returned our call. We then had to wait through the holiday to speak to anyone to schedule an appointment to read the test. We were told someone would come on July 5th between the hours of 1PM and 6PM. My husband took the day off from work in order to be home for the technician. 6PM rolls around and no one came to read the test. I called the emergency number and was told someone would arrive shortly. Finally the technician came at 6:45PM and took a 2 minute reading. He informed us we had to call to schedule the repair.We called the next day and were told the earliest a technician could come for a repair was July 11th.On July 10th I received a phone call telling me the appointment needed to be rescheduled for July 13th or 16th because they were experiencing a high number of emergencies and they didnt have enough technicians to do the work. I informed them that was not my problem and we had been on their schedule for almost a week. They put me on hold for five minutes and then confirmed they would arrive between 10AM and 2PM.On July 11th I received a phone call at 9AM informing me that they would not be doing the repair on that day and the time scheduled because they didnt have the correct part. But that they would be sending a technician to look at the unit to determine what part was needed for the repair. He showed up at 1:30PM, took 5 minutes to figure out what was needed, and told me the customer service department would call me to schedule a time for the repair. I gave them an hour and no one called me. I called them and was put on hold for 10 minutes. They came back on and told me they would return my call once they could confirm a shipping date from the manufacturer. 30 minutes later they called to tell me that they didnt want me to wait until Monday, that they were going to expedite the part needed, and they would have someone come out between 11AM and 1PM on Saturday for a 4 hour repair.We have been at the mercy of Yost and Campbell and their utter lack of communication and customer service for almost a month. Weve used vacation days at work to sit around and wait for service technicians to show up. Weve rearranged our personal plans and schedules. Weve paid almost $500 for no solution whatsoever. We are completely disgusted and wonder how a company like this stays in business. If it werent for the money weve already paid we would have gone elsewhere. We will NEVER use their services again.
Stay away from this company!! I never write reviews, but can not pass on warning others about our experience with this scammers. We called this companys 24 hour service on Tuesday November 20, 2018 around 5:00Pm when we noticed our boiler was not working properly and my husband realized a valved was broken. The emergency line technician called back and offered to visit our house to diagnose the boiler and explained that the cost for the diagnosis was going to be $205.00 that same night or $175.00 the next day. Since we were concerned that the temperature was expected to drop around 20F by Thursday and it was also Thanksgiving week we decided to get the diagnosis the same night. The thecnician came Home around 9:00pm and informed my husband that the valve needed to be replaced and someone was going to contact us the next day (Wednesday) to arrange the time. My husband called back the next day around 11:00 am to follow up on the call, since we were concerned that they not going to make it before the holiday when we having the whole family over and the temp was going to be freezing. My husband spoke with Theresa who told Him they were going to call us back with the details for the repair since they were working on getting the part claiming they did not had In their inventory. Around 3:00 pm after not hearing from them, I was really concerned, I called them again, after been placed on hold for about 30 mins, the same lady apologized and stated they had been working on many emergencies and were not going to be able to repair the valve until Friday afternoon. I ask her why we were not informed this in the morning when we would have the choice to go with someone else that could hopefully repair it for us before the holiday and she was extremely rude and unprofessional, she even asked me to make a decision quick if I wanted to do it on Friday since she had other customers waiting for her. Desperate and frustrated I asked if I had any other choice, and after a lot more of non sense, she informed that the cost for labor and parts was going to be $328.00, she asked for a credit card information and stated a deposit was going to be charged that day. Friday morning my husband received a call from them asking to call them back to arrange another day since they were too busy and were not going to be able to do it at the arranged time. To not make it longer my husband took a picture of the part that was defective went to a plumbers supply store, got it for $30.00 and change it himself. Mind you they were going to charge us $328 on top of the diagnostic fee!!!I would not even recommend this company to my worse enemy.Do yourself a favor and stay way from this people.
Weve been using Yost & Campbells services for several years and have found them to be the best heating and A/C provider in the area. On this particular routine maintenance call, the service tech, Gilbert Padilla, did an amazing job and went beyond the service manual to ensure our two A/C units were cleaned and prepared for the current cooling season. Eric fixed our heater and gave a good explanation as to what had happened. Initially we had been told it would be a half days wait for the repairman but after a phone call from you to me Eric arrived much earlier which was great as we were cold - the house was down to 57F. Thanks for good service.
I never write reviews on Google but I feel like people should know what kind of operation this is. I called them up to fix my AC because they seemed to have good reviews. (Probably a bunch of employees, friends and family writing them. With a heat wave coming last weekend I was very concerned it wouldnt get done right away but they showed up the next day at the end of the 1pm - 6pm window. The tech was there for a hour and kept saying how many jobs he had left to go to and hes not sure this could be fix tonight. Then he added refrigerant to the system and said it defiantly cant be fixed tonight and someone would call to send a service manager and a estimate. No call the next day so I called another company who came out Saturday morning actually took a minute to take the cover off the unit in the basement. He found a dirty evaporator coil and blower wheel. He cleaned both and the AC worked like new. Today a week after the original tech was there they call me to tell me they want to send a service tech. Dont waste your time with a company that gives their people a unmanageable work load.
I’d like to personally thank Yost and Campbell for working so diligently to complete the oil to gas furnace conversion for my elderly parent’s home that I initiated while working in another state. At first glance this would seem to be a fairly simple process but I soon found that it isn’t. It takes a company with the technical know-how, experience and communication skills to; properly file permits with the Department of Buildings and work with them to solve issues, provide diagrams to multiple agencies, file the conversion request and track it with Con Edison, coordinate and be present for multiple preliminary inspections, remove the oil tank in accordance with regulations, select and install the right sized gas furnace, coordinate and be present for numerous final inspections with multiple agencies.Yost and Campbell’s owner and staff were up to the task. They were knowledgeable, understanding and extraordinarily professional in ensuring that the oil to gas conversion for my parent’s pre-war home was safely and efficiently completed at a very fair price.I’d like to extend a personal thanks to the entire Yost and Campbell team for a job well done and I highly recommend them for any of your HVAC needs.
On a day with the temperatures in the mid-90s my AC stopped working. Blowing air but no cold air. Called Y&C and was told they would be there by 6 PM. I didnt have high hopes on such an intensely hot day. The fellow did arrive at 6:15 after I got an email that he was coming. Attached to the email was his picture for ID (a very nice touch). He was polite, efficient, diagnosed the problem right away as a capacitor ($300 plus tax). But at least it was fixable and he had the part on his truck. He did some other chores making sure the compressor unit was in good working order and both zones worked and left when he knew it was working and cooling properly. By 7 PM fixed and working and cooling the house! Yes! I have been a Y&C customer for over 30 yrs. They handle all my heating and AC needs. Marty Gottlieb
Ricardo came for annual AC check and was on time, polite, knowledgeable and helpful. I felt very confident in him and his work and he gave me some good ideas (upon my request) about how i might zone the AC more effectively in the future. I was very happy with his professionalism and service.
I live in Queens and was looking for a company to do an oil to gas conversion at my residence. After speaking with a few different companies, Yost & Campbell had the best price and John the salesman didnt pressure me with the sale. They had contracted out a company to remove my old oil tank and oil, and they had one of their own service men come out and install a new boiler and new pipes. Nancy and Stephanie both dealt with the P.I.T.A. National Grid gas company. National grid had to install a new service coming into my house from the street. After they finally came and dug up my street and side walk they finally installed my new service and meter. Jost & Campbells employees were always nice and respectful. They always showed up when they said they would and now because of that they have a new customer for life.
This review is for the field manager Leo. I had an electric situation at my house last Saturday, which happened to be the hottest day of the year, and Leo really went above and beyond in terms of his availability and providing service throughout the day. Not only was he able to coordinate resolving the issue in one day, but he even took calls from me at 7:30pm on a saturday night. He was incredible throughout the day and I was lucky to have him around.
Ricardo Rodriguez always arrives on time, is professional and very respectful. He always takes time to talk through what he will do and will always take time to explain the work he has performed. Ricardo never leaves a mess, always cleans up after himself and before he leaves takes time to answer any questions. Can you please make sure his superb customer service, knowledge and his overall demeanor when walking into someones home is recognized. I know these things sound basic, but unfortunately in the world we live in today, you dont see it as frequently as you like. People like Ricardo will continue to bolster the reputation Yost and Campbell has established. These values are important to every company and he certainly sets the expectation for what a customer visit should entail.
This company does not stand behind their work. This should have been an extremely simple repair.Water was accumulating in an exhaust pipe because a band which had secured the pipe to the garage ceiling had broken so the pipe was no longer graded properly for the water to run off. All that needed to be done was to replace the broken band and reattach the pipe to the ceiling. However, instead of reattaching to the ceiling, the repairman used a plastic tie to attach the exhaust pipe to an intake pipe. This didnt raise the exhaust pipe high enough so water once again accumulated in the exhaust pipe and then the weight of the water was putting stress on the intake pipe which was forced to act as a support for the exhaust pipe.When I call Yost and Campbell to explain the situation and request they send someone back to correct the mistake, they said there would be a minimum charge of $175, which is ridiculous since I was requesting they fix their own mistake. They also insisted joints and portions of the pipe needed to be replace (at additional cost) despite the fact that clearly none of these were damaged and the only thing wrong was the broken band that originally secured the pipe to the ceiling.After getting nowhere with Yost and Campbell, I called a reputable repairman who simply replaced the broken band (took about 3 minutes) and the system has been working fine ever since.
Our heating and cooling systems were updated to high efficiency units in September/October. The salesperson, Steve Martinez was excellent in answering our questions and in working with his foreman to figure out how we could place humidifiers on both units. The installation team were fantastic, specifically chief engineer Edis and foreman Leo. The latter advised that I needed the house to be warmer for my mother-in-law, who had COPD. He had seen her using a nebulizer and had a family member who suffered similarly. And three months on, everything is working well.
Very professional, came same day to diagnostic problem on my Sanyo split. Customer service excellent, was easy to arrange date for replace part, follow up confirmation with text. Mechanic show up on time, polite and knowlegeable. AC is working well now. Overall very happy and very expensive !
Given the high demand of service calls/furnace repairs, Yost and Campbell was able to replace our furnaces inducer motor within days. A service call which was originally made to another company, but couldnt follow through.Thanks Yost and Campbell...you came through just in time for Thanksgiving!!
The technician was very late , and did not give me any heads up. BUT once he arrived he was very nice and professional and fixed our problem quickly. Also, the office was sympathetic to my complaint regarding the long wait, and gave me a coupon. So, overall, im satisfied with the service.
Im so pleased that I found Yost & Campbell. They have done tune ups on our air conditioning, heating, installation of a new heating unit in our kitchen and they installed our new Generac generator which has proven invaluable!! They are so professional and always wear a smile. I highly recommend them for home heating and A/C.
We are very pleased with our experience. All the employees we dealt with from John Iacono, who sold us the new hot water heater and boiler, Karen Carfora, who made it so helpful with the financing to Evis and Joel the installers. John was very thorough in explaining what needed to be done. Karen did her job very quickly and made things easy for us to understand. The installers were so professional, polite and neat.
The technicians are very nice and generally competent, but having to wait 2 months (into mid January) for my annual heating checkup/tuneup (2 years in a row), which I pay for, in advance, as a comfort club member, makes no sense. In this regard, the service is very disappointing.
While the installation of our electric heating and cooling unit went as planned, we are very disappointed with Yost and Campbell maintenance service. When we called to confirm the appointment, we had to leave a message. there was no agent available to answer. We did receive a follow up call reconfirming our appointment . After waiting for most of the day we were advised that our appointment was cancelled. Y&C advertises the quality of their maintenance service, We cant say we experienced it!
We bought a house that came with a Generac generator. It turns out we have used it 3 or 4 times in the last year (more than anticipated) so I thought it would be wise to have them service it at least annually. They have been great and have answered all of our questions. Tom even came out the last time as it needed to be inspected.
Y&C put in an Alpine hi-efficiency boiler in my 90 somthing-year old home. Lemme tell ya, that unit puts out a nice amount of heat! But barely a whisper of sound. The Y&C install team were great. They did a beatiful job w/ all the pipes. The workmen and the office staff actually did evrything agreed upon, and maybe more considering extra needs of this old house. ~ Satisfied customer.

Heat suddenly went off at approx 5pm last nite. Called service numbers approx 6pm. Tech (Godfrey) arrived approx 10pm and had Unit running by 1045pm. Godfrey was extremely cordial and attentive. Took time to explain situation to us. He was great.Suggestion:Consider having some better system for the phone service or the Tech to phone back quicker just to put the customer at ease that the response will be forthcoming, and to give approx timeframe for arrival. The 4 hour wait was not any problem, and is reasonable. It just would be more customer friendly to offer some response quicker.
Yost & Campbell Heating came out on time for the Ac installation. The installation went without an issue led by Steve and his attention to every detail was evident after it was finished. Everything was taken care of from the removal of the old system right down to the explanation of the new system operation and what to expect in savings. Thank you guys.

2022-01-24I must say that Yost & Campbell did a phenomenal job with installing our heating/cooling system. The team worked diligently and was very courteous. After researching and comparing various companies, the pricing of the project with Yost & Campbell was very reasonable. My home now has great heating (My heat hasnt been this good since I moved in over 14 years ago). I dont do many reviews but I highly recommend Yost & Campbell. Great job!!!!!

2022-02-19The company notified me that it was time for maintenance. Its great not having to remember myself and scheduling was easy. The technician arrived on time. He was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. He checked my furnace thoroughly, replaced the air filter and answered all of my questions. He checked my ductless system and gave me some important tips on maintenance. Im extremely pleased with Yost and Campbell. So much better than Sears.

2022-05-08I had been meaning to write a review for Yost & Campbell but never got around to it. First off I want to say what great service and a group of people this company has. I take care of my mom’s home while she is away for long periods of time and I know without a shadow of a doubt that I can turn to Yost & Campbell whenever there is an issue with my mom’s house. I will say they are not cheap but worth every penny. They don’t try to up - sell you services- they tell they what services they offer and if you wish to sign- up, you can. I love Yost and Campbell and recommend them to everyone I can.

2022-03-23We have dealt with Yost and Campbell for better than 20 years, since we purchase our house. In this instance, we decided to replace and update our heating and air conditioner system that was almost 20 years old and no longer working effectively. Y&Cs staff, from sales representative, deliverers, installers and office staff were courteous, professional and responsive to our needs. They went over the installation and explained everything. We are confident that we are set with a solid product.

2022-02-02My experience with Yost & Campbell has been excellent. They have been professional, trustworthy and reliable. They installed a new furnace and hauled away my old one in a day. Y&C will be installing a new heat pump and thermostat when it comes in and I will certainly provide further feedback upon completion!

2022-01-23I got in contact with this company through Home Depot. My heating unit needed fixing so I scheduled an appointment. A technician came and I was told I needed to replace the motor to get the unit fixed. The cost was $842. Turns out, that wasn’t the problem. I called the office the next day and spoke with a lady, her name was Rina who was going back and forth on the phone with me And told me that nobody gets trained for customer service and that her job was not to understand customers frustration. She was so rude. I was telling her that even after changing the motor the problem was not fixed. Her answer, well, I have to give you another quote because it seems there is a problem with the switches. I said, you guys told me it was the motor and I paid over $800 for that. Now you are giving me a quote for switches? So what happens with the motor that was changed. I said, I’m sure you can understand my frustration. After so much back and forth with her, she put another person on the phone, her name was Jackie. She told me they will put the old part back and refund the money. It took them over 2 weeks to refund my money after they put the old part back. Every time I called to inquire about the status of the refund I was met with animosity, attitude and it was really an awful experience. I couldn’t believe the level of customer service. I do not recommend this company. It is unfortunate that Home Depot refers you to them for any HVAC inquiries.

She ensured all our questions and issues were addressed in a timely manner despite any hurdles we encountered along the way. Special thanks to our installation manager Leo and his team for ensuring all technical questions were answered and the quality of work not compromised due to high demand and scheduling constraints.

2022-03-25Avoid at all costs. I was looking to have an evaluation/cost estimate for central air installation and a new boiler - probably a $35-40k job. First I scheduled an appointment online for a Saturday. Then they called and said that it was not actually available. So I scheduled an appointment for a Monday (two weeks later) and re-arranged my work schedule to compensate.. They then called me the Friday before saying that the date was no longer available. They were very unapologetic and didnt seem to care to miss out on a rather large job. Dont waste your time like I did.

2022-07-13Very happy with the service from Yost & Campbell. We lost our HVAC system in Hurrican Ida and Yost did all they could to get a new system installed before last winter was in full force upon us. The service reps are very knowledgeable about the various options and what was best for us. Pricing was excellent. They handled everything from beginning to end to make sure the system was working properly and efficiently. I have to especially thank Stephanie who helped us with FEMA so that we could get some reimbursement. Thanks!

2022-04-30I had a boiler problem where my hot water would run cold after a few minutes, and two times someone came to look at it and could not figure it out. However, when Yost and Campbell sent Ricardo he was able to find the cause of the problem and order a transducer, which he said should show a steady red light when the boiler is calling for hot water. Ricardo was so unbelievably knowledgeable about my Baxi wall hung boiler, and he was extremely professional and polite as well. I can’t say enough good things about the service he provided.
