This place is great! Good tasting strong drinks, delicious tacos and at a good price especially on Tuesdays.Update: we went back the following week. Knocking a star off because the host/manager maybe didnt want to give us a table for 4, when it was 2 of us. He gave us attitude over nothing. Plenty of other open tables available and they were trying to sit us literally right next to another couple when we were trying to social distance. No one even sat at the table we wanted the whole time we were there.
Went for Happy Hour and Dinner. The place was loud, the servers were running around carlessly and chatting within themselves. Also servers wearing mask not covering noses, or around their chins instead of wearing properly. The Margaritas were good, nice and strong. I ordered a Shrimp Quesadilla. It came out cold!! The portion size was disgustingly tiny. The shrimp were the basic boiled ones that are frozen or come from a can. I took a bite of it and it was Spicy. There was no mention of spiciness on the menu. When, i told the waitresss she said, Well, the cheft is Mexican! What kind of response is that. She then suggested I get something else, I chose the Baja Fish Tacos. These tacos, two pieces again extremely small were dry and pathetic. I would have done better with a Gordons Fisherman Fishstick. My friend got an Arepa, she said it was alright. I would not go back. The waitress gave us the bill and it was not itemized, just a number. Probably charged for the dish she changed. I would NOT go back there for food.
When I was younger, I used to come here more frequently, the menu and price point has definitely changed. The place is still absolutely packed and extremely popular. I had a mixed experience, the staff is super nice and helpful, the pulpo was excellent, the plantains very good, the fajita @ 29$ was flat in flavor. I ordered the frozen margarita, and I think it was a tad too sweet and light on the rum. All in all, coming here you wont be totally disappointed if youre looking for a place to drink, very lively and fully packed, but if youre looking for great culinary flavors, it wont hit high marks.
I got the two carnita tacos, they were delicious. Sangrias are great as well! Atmosphere was really good, they played great songs. Definitely a place to have fun and dance. My only complain was that the place only has two individual bathrooms, so there was a line at all times. They were dirty and looked like they haven’t been updated in 10 years. But other than that had a great time.
Place was really busy on a saturday afternoon. We ordered tacos, and steak & eggs, with rice and beans. food was really good! Service was also good considering how busy the restaurant was, liked the festive ambiance. The only issue for me was the music being too loud for my taste.
I enjoyed the vibe of this place. Ive been wanting to come for a while. Id say I wish the prices reflected the portion size. I got the $25 salmon risotto, it was good but not great still left me wanting a bit more. Great spot to check out for drinks with friends. (My friend got a ~$14 quesadilla)
We got there at 7:30, we were told that they would need us leave by 9 so they could close the outside area. We thought nothing of it as an hour and a half would be plenty of time to eat. We end up getting our food at 8:15 and 10 minutes later we are getting rushed out of our table so they can put the tables from inside in the outside area. We asked to finish our meal inside and were denied. We were then essentially rushed out of the restaurant as they had employees waiting nearby to close off the area. Some of us didn’t even have time to finish our food! The food itself was also only ok, not quite good enough to make up for how we were treated.
I had fish tacos and a coconut mojito drink. The drink was strong and good. The service was okay. I was very disappointed toward the end of our patronage when we were asked to go to the bar dinner, the wait staff asked us to basically hurry up on more than one occasion because they had people waiting for a table. After speaking with the manager, he informed us there was a two hour unspoken rule, and that yes we had to move. two Nowhere in the entry of this establishment did it specify this. The manager was not pleasant, he had a non chala and Poot attitude about how unhappy we felt. I would not be patronizing this establishment again. His tack and his unbothered attitude about our unhappiness said a lot. Our customer satisfaction approval wasn’t important. They clearly don’t need my money and I will no longer give it to them.
Wow!! I’m Cuban & I absolutely love this place. Very authentic and well executed. Kind staff, most speak Spanish as well! the food is plated really pretty + I highly recommend the shrimp quesadilla, the empanadas, the steak with chimichurri, and the brunch Benedict. Absolute fire. We go at least once a week! Gracias!! ⚡️🥳
Nice restaurant. Nice ambience. Good variety of Spanish food. Had the chicken and churrasco pinchos which were fine but just a little dry. Not too happy with the service. Took at least 10 mins for our waiter to take our order and also the food came before our drinks which is strange. Overall a nice spot but not someplace I would come back over and over again.
This was my 3rd time visiting this establishment, and the last 2x were a nightmare. I wanted to order a Cuban Sandwhich and I asked the waiter if they can remove a couple of slices of the pork, and he said NO. He said they are pre-made in the AM and we cannot make any adjustments. First of all, why would u say to a customer that the food has been sitting out since the morning? We ordered the Guacamole, and it tasted old. When we told the waiter to please exchange he said that there was no use in ordering another one because it was coming from the same batch. All in all the service and food are not what they useto b. I would never go back
The Yuca Bar has always been on my list of favorite spots in the East Village. Simply put they have the best caipirinhas in the village. Properly made with Leblon and with the amazing price of $8 also comes excellent food. Along with a fun ambience and a happy hour until 8 p.m. this amazing locale will leave you in a great mood to continue your exploration of the East Village. I always make this my first stop and sometimes also my last. You will love the Yuca fries and the guacamole which is made to order. Friendly and attentive service will most definitely make this one of your favorite spots as well. bring your friends and family trust me they will not be disappointed.
Yuca bar has great atmosphere (love the music!)! We really enjoyed the tapas selection and the fusion of different Latin American foods! We were celebrating our anniversary and they were so sweet in wishing us many more years! Definitely a place I would visit again when Im back in NY. The tuna ceviche was delicious (and it comes in a 🥥)! Highly recommend, the manager and people are super friendly too!
Went with a group of friends on a Friday night around 10 . Without reservations youll be waiting about an hour for a table. This Place is always packed so be youll be standing up, a foot away from the next person. However while waiting for a table you can order drinks which is a plus! The wait and the limited space is well worth it because the food is AMAZING. The YUCA fries are a must have and the fried calamri is the best Ive had. Variety of dishes and mixed drink that are moderately priced its a great place for fun.
I never write reviews but here I cant let it go...⛔️THIEF AND LIAR⛔️I went there on 04/09/22 at 7:30 and attention... we ask for the bill then we count in front of the barman the money (a bill of 20 and 6 of 1), the waiter returns by pretext that there is not the account and that it misses as by chance the bill of 20 dollars! 🤮 We start to get angry and explain to him that it is not possible and that we are sure of us and that he must have lost it, and that he looks at the cameras... then as if by chance he leaves and goes to see with the manager... guess what ? He had magically found the 20 dollar billProbably he tried to rob us because we have a foreign accent?
Went for brunch with friends and enjoy it. We didn’t wait long to sit outside even on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Drink specials are solid. I really enjoyed my ham eggs Benedict with cilantro hollandaise sauce. Yuca bar has a good menu for any group, I recommend it.
This place is amazing!! Its not just Mexican food. Its from all over South America. And it is absolutely delicious. We got the carnes for 2 and mushroom & peppers dish (I forgot what it was called) both were fantastic! We shared them between 3 people and it was plenty for everyone and had enough to take home as well. We also got plantanes as well and they also were fantastically delicious! Prices are a bit high but for the quality of food you get its absolutely worth it!
Came in for drinks only but i order the Pulpo salad which I was not impressed at all, the octopus tasted like chicken which was very weird. I came here years ago and I remembered this place as restaurant that served delicious food, we didnt walk out with the same impression from my last visit. Overall a very cute small place with good service.
Extremely bad service, people at the entrance are absolutely rude even though we spent 1,5 hrs on a line. Staff is not friendly at all, they definitely don’t want people to come in.Do not come to this place, they don’t want you in. There’re a thousand better places to go.
Where do I even start?! This place is one of my favorite Latin restaurants in lower Manhattan. Their food menu is flavorful and diverse, you can’t miss. The drinks are delicious and strong - sangria and strawberry caipirinha are my favorite. The music is on point! They have a live DJ on Thurs-Sat. They sadly don’t take reservations on these dates but highly recommend trying off peak hours or waiting in line, totally worth it.
I came in here around 4pm and it was empty as it was right before the dinner rush. I enjoyed couple of beers on the $6 happy hour and ordered the arepas samplers. I have to say its one of the best arepas dishes I ever had minus the street vendors in South America . The sweetness of the cornmeal and the savory of the meats was a amazing paring . I cant speak for the other dishes but the sampler was on point .
Good looking place but it was a bit expensive for me. I had a coco mojito and it was pretty bad. Tasted mostly like seltzer water and not much rum. The quesadilla was small, but it tasted okay. For $12 bucks it was too small and it didnt tasted that amazing. Also the concept was weird, it was like a combination of different hispanic foods, I thought it was more of a Puerto Rican vibe.
Food gets a grade of C. Service gets an 0.Ordered steak medium well; it was bleeding. Yuca fries were cold. Cuban sandwich was good.I asked the waitress if my steak was medium well. She said she didnt know but thats what she ordered. I asked her to check or to send someone over to check. Never did. No one came. Waitress never came back until I found another waiter to get the bill. That was 20 minutes after my request. Just gave up.Sangria was watery. As much as I used to like Yuca for brunch, its not worth $30 for 2 pieces of skirt steak. Going to pass in the futire.
Went here with my family. The the tall blond haired man I did not get his name, seated us fast even with a line outside. We went at a busy time which was around 3pm and 1 of the first hot days of the year. They were busy but took care of us appropriately. The food was also very good and the kids loved their shrimp casadilia. Will come back again
OMG if I can say everything I want in this review I can write a book. First the customer service is super. 2nd if you ever want to get super drunk this is the place to go the bartender will make your drinks FULL of liquor and when it comes to kids they cater to kids juice pallet my son loved their mango drink. Food is good and nothing can beat the park literally right across the street
Came here with friends for taco Tuesday forgot to check the menu beforehand and unfortunately there are no vegetarian tacos. I asked the waitress hoping maybe they could make something up like potato tacos but nope:/. Ordered the vegetarian burger instead which was AMAZING! The food is good 3 stars is for the extremely slow service it was about 20 mins for someone to take our order and even longer to receive it.
This place deserves no star. Luis (who seemed like the manager) was extremely rude and unprofessional. After we walked in he immediately had an attitude. Apparently he doesn’t care about the business and doesn’t care for customers trying to spend money at Yuca. On top of that he tells his employees of the incident, like his the victim, which made the situation even worse. Some employees even got a kick out of it. I heard him say “I don’t care”. I feel bad for whatever sane person works under this kind of management. I came in to have a great time with a group of friends. I recommended the place and didn’t expect this kind of unprofessional behavior. Luis should reconsider working in the service industry. Extremely bad experience.
They make you wait 20 plus minutes just to take your order, thats only after we flagged someone to take our order even though we arrived around 4 pm and were seated quickly. The server barely apologized. I would understand if we didn’t notice like 6 employees standing around not doing much. It was not crowded at all. My group of 3 was excited For the 12-8 happy hour, But it seems they want to make you wait so you don’t get to order enough drinks. Once we ordered after 15 minutes we had to flag someone else regarding the drinks and this sever asked us if we ordered food as a reply instead informing us about the drinks ortrying to help. We had to walk out after 40 mins of nothing. Mind you we saw other tables being tended to so who knows what happened but it was a terrible experience.
Great food, friendly staff, great location.Plátano relleno was bomb, two other apps were even better, sangria pitcher won’t let me remember what they were though!Manager was nice too, came over talked a bit, recommended a few other places to checkout in town!Great place
Even tho I did not go inside to order or eat something I would like to write this review. As a big spender I would never visit this place due to what happened. I did not notice the time and they were closed. Before noticing I saw a crowd inside and was going to order a drink while my partner went to use the restroom. He was yelled at and told to leave by a staff member dressed in black with white hair. No possible way they could be the owner. Never going to step in to dine but will step in to talk to management and possibly rewrite my review!
Horrible ... For my first time in this restaurant my experience was disappointing because the service is terrible and the bathrooms are dirty and smell very bad.I ordered a medium cooked hamburger and it was well done cooked. The passion fruit margarita tasted more like salted water than tequila and passion fruit. The steak quesadilla is a joke for the size and the price.I definitely do not recommend this place.
Worst brunch place I ever experienced! Me and my date were sat at a table and didn’t get our order taken 45 minutes into seating! After waiting 30 + minutes after order was taken and received nothing! Not even our drinks… So we walked out very displeased and our day! Courtesy of the host male heavy set curly hair, thank you sir! Not sure who hired him as a host but he clearly discriminated against us because every customer was served even the ones who arrived more after us!
This place is run by crooks.I went here for brunch (food was meh, drinks were garbage), but before I sat down for brunch, I bought two drinks for my friend and me at the bar. I paid for these drinks at the bar and had an $18 charge. This charge is present on my credit card statement.Fast forward a couple days later and I had an additional charge for $48 on my credit card. Ive called the restaurant five times now over the course of the week and they refuse to refund this erroneous charge claiming that I must have forgot about signing this bill or that maybe I was distracted and bought something without remembering. They refuse to face the obvious reality that they charged someone elses food to my credit card! And, before you ask, yes I also have a third (correct) charge on my credit card for the brunch I ate here. But the second (obviously incorrect) charge for $48 is the one in question. They refuse to refund me. They are crooks. This place is run by terrible human beings. If you care about fairness and doing whats right, avoid this place at all costs. Bad people run it.
Boo hoo… ive loved this place, but haven’t been there in a while. I ordered the bean burger and it was really bad. Just mashed beans. No form. It’s one of the dishes I always ordered and it was the BEST!! No more!! Pico digo was good. Great chimichurie!!! (So).But sad about the veggie bean burger!!!
The food was more of a miss for me. The yuca with the chimichurri sauce was superb however. My friends and I tried alot of different dishes in a group of 5. The buss personnel was fantastic however the waitresses were either having a bad day or could use a splash of coffee with a ton of sugar.
First time here and loved it. Will definitely be coming back. Food was amazing, definitely try the plátano rellenó, and calamari. Atmosphere was great, staff was very respectful and attentive. Cocktails were awesome. Seriously there was nothing bad from my experience. I usually do not review anything, but my experience was so amazing I had to share.
Yuca Bar has never failed me all of the times that Ive been there. Even with COVID going on, they take the proper precautions by taking your temperature and making sure that if youre waiting, it is 6 feet apart. They have plexiglass in between tables and created some coverage for outdoor seating. It is super safe & comfortable. You forget it is even there. The food is amazing as always (I get the Yuca Burger w/ The Yuca Fries) & the people, the environment are always so positive. I highly recommend especially for happy hour👌
The waiters and workers were good. Very attentive. However we were told we had to leave because of time even though we were still consuming and purchasing. Was very disappointed with the managers attitude and response. Wasnt pleased with the food but went more for drinks and ambiance. Very disappointing. Wont be returning.
I am so happy I got to visit this restaurant in my trip to NYC. I am from Latin America and I am very picky when it comes to Latin food. Not only this place had a great variety of dishes but the service was AMAZING!!! People talk about how rude people from this city are but in this restaurant they treat you like family!. I couldnt be happier about the recommendations my waiter gave me, everything was delicious. The mojito was top of the line, better than in some of the best resorts in the Caribbean. By far a most go!!!!!
Love it here! So glad to see the local spots surviving the heartless disaster that is 2020. One of my favorite meals on the Avenue. Order 4 - 5 tasting plates depending on appetite, but dont stop there. Get a full order of the red sangria, because its the best in the city and lifes too short!
Management is trashhh. They can smd. No se quien se creen. Es un guero bien feo con un sweater vest como si estuviera en el basement de un frat LOL. Que chistoso!!!!😅 pero don’t come here if you’re trying to get kicked out for trying to find your friends on the bathroom line!!
I love yuca bar! Im a regular and everyone is also so pleasant. Great happy hour drinks and music is always a nice touch. The place is small so its tight but the food is worth a little squeeze. The managers are amazing and accommodating always. Lots of gluten free options as well!!!
Never happened to me before - They actually changed the tip after we left, took double than what I left on the signing slip! Saw it only because my lunch companion asked to pay me back and it made me go online to verify. When called to ask for clarification was it an unfortunate mistake they just hang off the phone. Addressed it to my bank as last resource of action against this steeling. There is no excuse for that. Beware!Food was good and dissent service, sitting outside was a nice refreshments on a partially sunny day in the middle of winter.
Never been to the restaurant but Im sure its a fantastic place to eat. However, Ive been to the bar Fridays and Saturdays, off and on. Its a great place to stay and drink or whatever you people do. The times that Ive went there has never been any fights or any foolish activities.i feel safe and very relaxed (had a very bad experience at one bar in the past) in there and enjoy myself a lot even when I go alone. The staff are wonderful, the music is chilled and nice, theres music for anybody to have a great time. I wrote too much but bottom line, its a really good night bar to be at.
Very good place to eat and for happy hour. They do brunch there as well. Love the atmosphere at night though. Play great trendy music and it does get packed so you are best to get there early of you want to enjoy yourself. It is hard to walk in there and its small but I love the place overall
I don’t recommend this place at all. Some of their servers have a bad attitude, drinks don’t have enough alcohol lately and if you request for a table for more than 6 people they make you wait for a long time. So you can save that money and time going to another please!!! This happened last three times I went to this restaurant…
THE FOOD IS AMAZING!!! The place is bigger than it looks from the outside. They usually have a long line outside once happy hour starts. I did find this annoying, but it was worth the wait. The dim lights and drinks let you forget the large crowd around you and let you focus on your own conversation and food. They give you plenty of food, so I tried to take some home. I ended up giving it to a homeless person though. Ive never been sadder to do a good deed. The food is just THAT good. You cant go to Yuca bar and not order Yuca fries. They are delicious.
I love this place and the food here is amazing. Be prepared it can be very busy and loud but the food makes it worth it. Get some tapas so you can have a variety of food to share with the table. The calamari and octopus is definitely my favorite. Also really good margaritas. Go eat there now!
Restaurant overall vibe is nice, music is pretty loud, however people go to enjoy the mix of the Latin flair! The waiters were not as attentive as I would like they do the minimum. Had to ask for refills of our drinks several times. I would go back during the happy hour as they have pretty good specials.
Came here for a company dinner, so got a great group menu customized by the two owners themselves. I must say, the service, quality, and variety of food here was superb. Drinks wise, the sangria, chicha, and horchata were all divine. We tried almost every appetizer and 3-4 of the main dishes, and all were of exquisite quality. The desserts were all very good too, especially the molten lava cake.
I love the food here but this last time I got so annoyed because the sitting situation was so unfair. I was there waiting for an hour and people kept getting sat before my family. They need a better system to track who’s next and not just sit people based on how they look or on personal preference.
Great quasi deconstructed areas, and churrasco (not Brazilian style). Good guacamole; plantain chips a welcome addition to the multi colored tortillas.Fun atmosphere!Big portions are well suited for sharing all around, making it very a reasonably priced dining experience.
We were asked to show proof of vaccination andidentification. We showed it as we had been vaccinatedThe host proceeded to deny us entrance and didnt let us eat after he saw that we had a foreign passport. Heclaimed that it was because a digital identification is not allowed but we have been to many restaurants were a picture of our passport was accepted. So disappointed by the xenophobia showed by this place.
Shocking behaviour from one of the waiters last night! He didn’t ask us to leave, but literally said “get out!” to us and to the tables near us. I’ve never experienced anything like it in all my life. Terrible service and behavior— how can people behave like this in the hospitality industry? We were given no indication that we had to leave other than rude and offensive words from whimsies probably the worst waiter I’ve ever met. Avoid this spot. Food was mediocre and not worth the hostility.
I wish I could give more stars! From octopus, to arepas, tacos, ribs, churros, and mojitos choosing a favorite dish simply isnt possible. Each dish has a distinct and unique flavor that truly is one of a kind. Highly recomend to anyone who enjoys Latin American cuisine.
Best place to start the night of drinking! They have a happy hour 1pm-8pm everyday! (excluding holidays). The service is superb and immaculate. The drinks, specifically the mojitos, margarita, and frozen strawberry marg are very good. Look out for bartender Kleber, very friendly man. Don’t be afraid to ask him for recommendations, he will find you the perfect drink!
I come to this place more often than I would like to admit (so much for my try new restaurants rule) but you cant beat good food and great prices. I love their Tuesday 1/2 price tapas and Happy Hour drink specials (5-8pm). Ive also been there for brunch on Sundays and its inexpensive as well ($13.95 for entree + cocktail). The only drawback is that its a small place so its hard to fit big groups.
Best latin place ever. I’ve been here three times with different groups of friends and it never disappoints. I like the music, because people tend to think that Latin music is just bachata and salsa, but they also play modern artists and the playlist just flows well. You should try the sangría pitcher, not that expensive and you can get a fair amount of glasses. Try the happy hour promotions in food and drinks.Downside: it gets really crowded. Make sure to reserve a table if you’re eating before partying
I love this place!! They have the best happy hours, live music and great food. The variety of drinks are unbelievable. Went there with my coworkers and we have a blast. Make sure you have your party on time, because they will only reserve a spot for you if everyone is there. I will definitely come back!
The atmosphere of this restaurant/bar was super hip. Very colorful and it definitely set the atmosphere along with its music. Loved that the front of the restaurant opens up to the street with a nice breeze coming in. The food was good - especially their fries and the pink slushie drink (name is slipping my mind, not the dark and stormy - they didnt have that) and their roti and hummus. Im not a HUGE fan of Caribbean food so the jerk chicken was okay but its a wholly personal opinion.
I give it this raging because My husband and I went on Friday we wanted to be seated there was plenty of empty space they told us to wait 20 minutes and to go to the bar We wanted to eat and not drink but they pushed us to the bar and the person that greeted us was extremely rude.... This place was recommended to me by a friend I must say she has horrible taste. Try to get better people to work there that are courteous and treat people better..ugh..
Restaurant/bar/crowded magnet for new jersey people and college kids at night. Pop music and drunk dancing. During the day the outdoor seating is nice but then the food is disappointing. Could easily be a little better with more effort from their kitchen staff. I got a wrap which was so soggy I couldnt hold it.
Ive been coming to Yuca for years! Tuesday was the night the locals would come because it used to be 50% off tapas. Then it went to 40%. Now its 30%. Lets not kid ourselves, the menu was overpriced to begin with and the drinks have always been a bit too sweet. But wed go on Tuesdays and there would be enough good will that would bring us back on the weekends for the full price menu. I feel like its became a bridge to far. Just spent almost $100 for a pitcher of sangria and 4 ok appetizers and thats with the special. Its terrible when we lose local places due to rent increases, and its even worse when they do it to themselves. The service is still great, as always.
GREAT experience every time we go here. Freddie the bar manager took care of us on a Tuesday. The Taco Tuesday is a super value. 40% off all tapas until 8pm. We had the chicken taco for $7, good portions and super fresh, the guacamole and chips, $6, hand made chips and guac. We had the frozen blended margaritas, $8., they had a good amount of tequila and several flavors to choose from.I’ve also ordered lattes and they are TO DIE FOR! Seriously, I highly recommend and I’m from Seattle.
Went there yesterday , on a Thursday . It was very busy near the day . We had some mojitos that were very well made. They have happy hour until 8 on some drinks. Even that was Brazilian night, there was Nothing in the menu that made us want to order .... Nice crown also . Will not go back, simply because didnt feel it .
I was there on a late Saturday night... If you want to just get drinks ,the host just slide you over to the right away from the restaurant area.. Towards the bar where it was packed and with good music.. Good vibes. Friendly Attentive Bartenders. Crowd was obv more of a Latin scene but there was a good mix of other people as well. Overall, a good night.
Guac and salsa was delicious. Listen to the server the Flavored mojitos are super sweet, But delicious nonetheless. Sangria was really good. The restaurant is tiny so youll end up being on top of each other if it gets busy. 😒 steak Quesadilla was tiny but delicious.Space was the only turn off of this restaurant. I ended up touching the guy next to me. It was awkward.
Dont let the pictures, rating and menu fool you, avoid this place around all costs!A creative menu with food that should be good is just garbage, it destoryed mine and my buddies stomach. When we ordered our food came out before bottled beer, and the beer came out in a very reasonable time like 3 min. This led to the assumption that the food was cooked and just sitting in the back under a heat lamp or on a steam table, who knows what bacteria built up on it. And then it was just bland.Like I said avoid!!!
Came here with two friends at 7 PM on a Friday and we were seated right away. The three of us split the paella, the arepa taster, and the special for that day which was guacamole with steak on top of it and world chips (a mix of tortilla chips and plantain chips). We also were here during their happy hour which goes from 4-8 (very generous), so I had a mojito and a margarita. The food was very good, and the portions were okay for the three of us to feel satisfied after finishing the meal. The service was fast, although the bussing may have been TOO fast - they kept trying to clear our table of dishes that still had food and drink in them. Altogether this was a good meal, slightly tainted by the fact that I felt like I had to battle off the bussers from taking my food too soon. Also, our meal ended up being $50 each, even though we really didnt have that much food.
I first went here for a birthday get together many moons ago. I was so impressed with the food Ive come here a whole bunch of times for happy hour and on the way back home from work. Great spot to unwind and chat while enjoying tapas and sangria. HAPPY HOUR is awesome btw,.

2022-01-03I absolutely LOVE Yuca Bar. Their brunch is slamming and Ive been there more times than I can count. The food selection is great, they have a variety of options for meat lovers and veggie lovers.I usually get the Eggs Benedict which is spectacular. The service is really great and everyone is super friendly. The wait time varies, of course depending on the day but usually not much longer than 10-25 minutes. The drinks are AWESOME!! That sangria will sneak up on you so be careful. Its fruity and delicious so itll catch you off guard sometimes. lol Theres outdoor seating as well, which is super cute, but just know youre on a busy NYC sidewalk so theres quite a bit of foot traffic.

2022-02-14Great ambiance with Latin music! The food was delicious. I really recommend the Arepa churrasqueso, it was sooo good! If you are a fan of desserts, try the bread pudding, it was also amazingly delicious. My server was super nice, all the staff was attentive with the service.

2022-06-25Amazing experience. I loved the place and I always hear good things about it so I had to check it out myself. I went their for dinner and wow, I had the salmon with chipotle sauce and mashed potatoes and a margarita. The margarita was strongish and the salmon was fantastic. I could tell it was fresh from the same week. I went on a Friday night and once I sat down my waitress had came to me quickly to get my order and that was great because I was able to get their happy hour price for drinks. 9 dollars for a bunch of them. Food came out in about 12 min. But what I did not realize from her taking my order so quick, was that once I ordered my food and she brought it to me. She had told me to eat it quickly because she had to MOVE MY TABLE, because they where going to have a club their. Mind you this is 15 MIN AFTER I HAD JUST SAT DOWN AND RECEIVED MY FOOD. I was shocked that I could not enjoy my food and appreciate the work their chef had put into it. That definitely affected her tip, I was expecting to stay their 45-60 min and all I could do was 25 minutes to quickly eat. I DID NOT ENOJY THAT AT ALL. I was about to leave but i made some friends that wanted to stay for the club…. AND WOW. WHAT A PLACE TO BE. If I could change anything it would be to NOT SIT PEOPLE WITHIN 30 MINUTES OF CLOSING BECAUSE I WAS NOT ABLE TO EAT IN PEACE. But let me tell you, the people that come to this club are young hip and ready for adventure and Yuca really puts on a show. They open the entire restaurant for as many people as possible. And I was wondering why so much space. But once 11:00pm hit the clock. The place was flooded with college girls and wow. What a night I had, the ratio of girls to guys is crazy, and if you like Latina’s or Latinos, THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE. For what it might cost you. I spent 100 dollars at yuca the entire night. Including my 27$ salmon and my 9$ margarita then a couple of beers and shots at their club. I would expect that each person would pay 50-100 if they only go to the club. I would come back again, if only they could fix that problem with the tables moving so quickly after sitting down.

2022-07-05Most underrated brunch in New York City. Unassuming exterior, but plentiful seating. Sit outside for a quieter, more intimate experience. Sit indoors for a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend bottomless.

2021-12-09Large restaurant. Cute on the inside and out. After vaccination card check, we were seated right away. We had the empanadas as an appetizer and they were delicious! I ordered the pull pork burger with regular fries and a lemonada, my friends ordered the Cuban sandwich with yuga fries and the paella. They both said their food was slamming!!! The food did take some time to come out though. Over 30 mins. Other than that, service was great!!!

2021-11-23I came here for Sunday night happy hour drink(s) with my friend and we loved it.I ordered the Caipirinha, which Ive never had is from Brazil and tastes lemony and sweet but not too sweet.I didnt eat the food but therere a lot of drink options for different palettes, even virgin drinks I saw the table next to us had ordered. The atmosphere is energetic and the dimmed lights make it such a fun and resort in Cancun-vibes.The service is fast and friendly.Great place for groups too.

2022-06-17Great service. Pricey but good drinks. I got a drink during their happy hour for $9 and then another after it ended for $12. I also got the pulpo appetizer, which was great. Didn’t really expect a lot from the food, since most people were gathered at the bar socializing.
