Ive been to several dentists in the last 10 years. Zalatan Dentistry was the best yet. The staff were friendly, very knowledgeable, understanding of my tooth sensitivity & suggested multiple options for relief. Dr. Suy was so kind. Thank you for a great experience! Weve found a great dental practice for our family.
I cannot stress enough the personal service youll experience at this dentist. All the dental assistants and doctors are awesome. Jordan goes way out of her way to make sure clients are comfortable and calm during all procedures. Shes an all star. The whole team is.
I had my wisdom tooth extracted and It was the most pleasant dental experience Ive ever had. 10/10 recommended, they go above and beyond to assure the patient is completely comfortable.
At the age of 71 (a young 71 :) ) I found myself having to find a dentist as when you receive Medicare and with it I have Fedelis, you wind up going to whom they pick. Well trying that and NOT finding satisfaction, my neighbor suggested Zalatan Dental Modern Dentist. I cannot find the right words to express how happy I am with their service. Their entire staff I would rate off the charts! While not happy I have to have my tooth extracted I now know why I have to have it pulled. To see the x-rays with my own eyes, having them explain what is going to happen and what my options are, helped me not only understand but was a blessing.If you are like me and afraid of going to the dentist - let me highly recommend Zalatan! You wont be sorry.
I have been going to this Dental office for over 25 years. I loved Dr. John and now Dr. Justin who has taken over is a Rock Star!! He also has a partner Dr. Soy who is very good as well. Dr. Justin TOTALLY SAVED ME TODAY!! I was in such pain for the last 5 days and he saved me!!! He is EXCELLENT. He/they are professional and they have all the absolute most modern equipment and tools to do the absolute best job possible. I would recommend them to anyone.

By far the Best Dentist in this area. With all of the Covid-19 happening , I felt extremely safe walking in. The way they are handling it all is to perfection. The staff members are so helpful, friendly, kind, and welcoming. Dr. Justin is one of the most genuine, nicest doctors. Who is passionate about what he does for his customers. Excellent service! I have had 4 dentists over the last 70 years, each has been exceptional and I was so relieved to find my 4th when moving back to Utica a year ago. As an older patient, I have many of the usual problems of my age cohort which grew up without fluoridated water and, too often, with bad dental hygiene as a child. Although I still have 28 teeth after extraction of my wisdom teeth many years ago, every tooth had at least one cavity and I have had several root canals and caps. Dr. Zalatan has an easy manner, a kind approach to those of us with less than perfect smiles and is pragmatic. I am delighted to have found him without any personal recommendations (i.e. blindly) and look forward to our next appt. Extremely competent, reasonable and easy to talk with, I can only recommend this dental practice without any reservation and eagerly.
I want to start this review by stating that I am TERRIFIED of the dentist. I went here on the recommendation of a good friend, and I am not disappointed. EVERY SINGLE person that I had contact with today was kind and compassionate. Aware that I was scared of the dentist and did everything they could to make sure I had a pleasant experience. I would recommend that anyone with a fear of the dentist try this office. You will leave feeling better, that they can help you with your teeth and make you feel comfortable and not scared.
10/10 experience. Dr. Suy removed my wisdom tooth with the greatest of ease, the whole procedure start to finish took less than 5 minutes and at no point in time did I feel any pain. Not even after! Im one week post-op today and have healed beautifully, I cant believe I waited this long to do it. Highly recommend! The whole team is amazing.
Ive always attended Zalatan Dental and because of their friendliness and professionalism Ive never dreaded an appointment. Colleen always greets me with a bright smile and asks how Ive been and how my family is doing. Amy always does a very thorough job on my teeth and always makes sure Im comfortable while in the chair. My last visit I went in for teeth whitening and Jose made my molds for my trays. He did a great job explaining how I should be whitening and answering questions I had regarding it too. Everyone is always very personable and makes my visits very enjoyable!
My first appointment 9/1/20. Friendly, extremely knowledgeable staff. State of art equipment. I do not like going to a dentist but this is by far the best experience I ever had. Very gentle. Equipment to protect against COVID. Will gladly return.

Went in for a Tmj consultation. Was told they had to confirm with my insurance company what would be covered. Never heard back from them.
Ive avoided going to the dentist for years however, the minute I walked in they were all extremely friendly/welcoming.. As I checked in I was able to ask a series of questions & actually have them answered by someone who was friendly and genuinely wanting to help. Dr. Suy was my dentist & she was both professional yet easy going at the same time. I thought it was nice that she explained all the treatment options available, and she helped guide me on what was the best decision for me. Most places wouldnt take the time to understand what the patient is actually seeking, but she did. Her attention to detail is incredible. The entire staff there was very welcoming & its overall a great place for anybody that needs dental work. Go check them out
The atmosphere of the office is so amiable. I like the staff they are so professional at the same time they are so kind and wonderful. Dr. Justine proficient in his work and so pleasant. He did an excellent job on my teeth in a short time. Dr. Justin took care of my other teeth without asking him to do so. He always look to his patience with great attention to their teeth health.

They take time out to explain any questions you have, you never feel they are just trying to push you out the door, its very much the opposite they are friendly, professional and caring. They answered the phone when I initially called,,,other dentists I had to leave a message. They were able to get my 3 year old in for his first cleaning in one week!!! He loved it,, they are a great team! Very clean, and friendly. Good off street parking too.
When my dentist retired I felt very fortunate to learn about and become a patient of Zalatan Dental. The greatest asset for me is that Dr. Justin and the entire staff make me feel like family, or rather an important member of a close family. I have been coming to this place for many years! They are really great to not only me but my family as well. Colleen is always quick to squeeze me in to an appointment and her friendly personality is always a joy! Jose and Salina recently pulled one of my wisdom teeth and I was a bit nervous at first and I swear they are the dream team...it took about 10 minutes and they talked to me through the whole thing! It was comforting to know they cared so much and wanted me to be comfortable during the process. Thanks to the staff here, I will always return!!

Great Dentist! I, like most people, dislike going to the dentist. But, Doctor Justin and his staff are amazing! Everyone treats you like family there and they all make sure that you’re comfortable. I had a HUGE fear of dentists until I found them! From the front desk back EVERYONE is welcoming and make you feel so comfortable and at ease. Dr. Suy is by far the best dentist I have ever dealt with. Her assistant Jose and hygienist Leah are so sweet. Jose literally makes me laugh in the middle of a dental procedure, every time! Coming from being afraid to step in an dentist office to laughing during a procedure is huge to me. I am so glad I found all of them!!

I had such an amazing/pain free experience with Zalatan Dental. I had an infected wisdom tooth and Dr. Salina helped minimize the infection and removed the tooth with zero pain and she did it in minutes. She was very helpful and answered all my questions. The staff is also very friendly and attentive, and they are really nice about scheduling. They will always work with you to make sure you can come in at a good time. Im super happy I went to Zaltan.
New patient..... always a stressful situation changing dentists/doctors going on the word of friends and family. This was worth listening to. From the phone call to my appointment end, I felt like Ive been going for decades. Educated in every way, helping understand my bad habits and how to correct the harm from them. I would like to say that I had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and the dentist was excellent. He took his time, he was caring, he was patient and he cared about my needs. I have to say I was so excited about my experience there I went back to work and told all my co-workers how wonderful my new dentist is. You know that feeling when you are talking with someone who has years of experience and knowledge? You want to soak in all their wisdom and just immediately trust what they say and what they will do. THAT is how it is at Zalatan Dental. It’s like sitting with an older wiser person, but who knows all the up to date information out there.I was a patient for years at Zalatan’s when I was a kid. When I got older I stopped going only due to not having dental insurance. Recently I had to go in due to needing some work done. I still don’t have insurance, BUT they are amazing! I wish I never stopped. They have an awesome plan for people who don’t have any insurance and will work with you. Don’t wait years to go to or go back to the dentist! Your teeth are SO important and their health impacts other parts of your body!Even though it was YEARS since I had been there… EVERYONE was so kind! Colleen gave me the BEST hug and made me feel immediately welcomed the moment I walked through the doors. She does so much and her knowledge is so valuable. She would praise each worker who was there and tell me how I’ll be in good hands.Merima assisted Dr. Justin Zalatan as he did some work on my teeth. She is also so knowledgeable and would answer every question I had. She would tell me how much she loved being there, but I could see it in her work and on her face. She made me feel relaxed and was so efficient with everything she did, especially taking the x-rays! Her and Dr. Zalatan worked so smoothly and efficiently together! He would constantly ask me if I was doing okay and they both would let me know what was going on. He even let me watch how he designed the crown for my tooth and then let me watch it being made. It was incredible!! He is very generous (I don’t say that lightly) and really took time to make my needs met.They BOTH made me feel like I was the only patient they had.I haven’t interacted with everyone else there for a long period of time, but I will be coming back on and writing more reviews as I get the opportunity to work with the rest of the staff. Each person made me feel valued and not one person made me feel bad about not going to the dentist in so long. There are some really amazing things going on in this office with up to date and top quality equipment and procedures!I truly had FUN at the dentist!! And if I had to say one word to describe this entire office it would be the word TRUST. I 100% trust them. Another great experience at Zalatan Dental. Upon my arrival I was greeted with a friendly hello and genuinely felt welcomed as a patient. It’s refreshing to see the receptionist look up to make eye contact and engage in conversation. The cleaning was efficient and painless with no mess! The modern feel is noticed as there is no sinks for spitting! They just used a suction apparatus to remove debris. I also love the computer screen above the chair showing past visits and history along with xrays. It makes the patient feel an equal part of their care. Dr. Justin was caring and friendly when he made my final check. He commented that my teeth were looking great as my braces are ready to come off! I look forward to my next visit in August.

Zalatan Dental is like no other office ive gone to in the past (In a GOOD way!!) They make going to the dentist very approachable, not scary because they explain everything in normal person terms, and have very modern tech, always learning more to serve their clients better. I love the TVs and the music to distract you when your in the chair, so smart!! Why doesnt every office to that? Sitting there for a long period of time with my mouth wide open, unable to talk...YES to the TECH MOVES!! Great job Zalatan Dental!
I have been a patient of Dr. Justins for three years now. I came to him as a referral from a friend when I needed a crown and learned that Dr. Justin would do that crown in just one visit! Yeah! And, he did a fantastic job! I was so happy with his work that I had him replace all of my decades old silver fillings. I now see him once every six months for cleaning and check ups. The office folks are very friendly and my appointments have always been on time. The office actually contacted me by phone one day when they were running late (due to an emergency) so that I wouldnt have to sit at the office and wait. I really appreciated that!

This is the 3rd review I’ve ever written. I am extraordinarily pleased with my daughter’s results. My daughter has been petrified of dentists for 9 years, this was her first positive experience from beginning to end. They have created a warm and welcoming environment, I felt like we had been going there for years. I reccomend anyone who is afraid or nervous in anyway to go here!!
I was 1/2 an hour early and they took me right in for my cleaning. Technician was very nice (sorry, I didnt get her name) and took me right in. I was done with my cleaning by the time that my scheduled appointment was for(10:30). Everything was good.
Dr. Suy was very persistent with my treatment despite the severity of my pain and anxiety. I was able to contact her off hrs and she got back to me about my concerns even though she was on vacation. Her and her assistant made all 3 of my visits (despite my pain) very pleasant. And they worked with me despite not having insurance coverage. If

The best dentist in our area! Excellent work, state of the art equipment, technology and materials, attention to detail and care for patients comfort, reasonable prices too! Dont waste money and insurance benefits on other shoddy and schisty dentists who do terrible work, damage your teeth and in the end go somewhere else to get it all removed and done over again! Get it done right the first time and go to Zalatan! His chairside manner shows he cares about you and the quality of his work.
Ive been to countless other dentists who said my teeth were too far gone, that they should all be pulled because theyre so bad that theyre not worth saving, and chances,of recovery were low. Well I just went in for the worst of them and Zalatan Dental saved EVERY single tooth! Masterfully as well, the fillings are meticulously shaped to look and function like teeth. Not only that, but other dentists tend to not wait until youre numb, while here they made sure I didnt feel a thing. Ive NEVER been able to just relax with a drill in my mouth, but I was so relaxed here. Never have I felt more comfortable and confident than at Zalatan Dental!

(I am a little biased of course, haha) I honestly know Salina is passionate, hard working and technically skilled. The Hygienist Gayle cleaned my teeth for my appointment today. Not only was she thorough, but very educational about how to properly brush and floss. Both doctors are very knowledgeable about their profession, and equipped with all the latest technology! They (doctors, hygienists, and assistants) are all nothing but the best there!!

Where do I begin with telling you how AMAZING everyone in this office is?!? We followed Dr. Suy from her previous office and were welcomed by everyone at Zalatan. Courtney, one of their hygienists is wonderful with both of our young girls, Jose, Dr. Suys assistant is by far one of my new favorite people and every other person is always so nice and helpful. I love that we get email and text appt reminders AND bonus....both Dr. Suy and Dr. Zalatan offer Botox injections 😉
I dreaded dental work for a long time. Zalatan dental helped me get back on track, and has made it as comfortable as possible. Everyone is friendly and accommodating, and its a shame-free environment.
I have a bad gag reflex and deep hate for mouth pain for as long as I can remember and so I stayed away from the horrible dentist pain monster for years and my wife found these people. They made the difference to me because theyre professional and HUMAN, they care and still get the job done with precise care!
Dr. Soy does an amazing job and always takes the patients comfort into account. José recently took some extra time to show me how poor of a flosser I am and really opened my eyes. Between the two of them and Colleen at the front desk I am almost excited to go to the dentist. Almost.

This is one of the best dentists in Central New York. It seems like a lot of dentists take the easy way out these days. Sloppy work, shoddy fillings, or worse that ends up costing you pain, time, and money. But not Zalatan! Getting it done right the first time is their top priority. If you want perfection in your dentistry, go here! Period.

I was new patient. I had a great experience , the staff was friendly and professional. Dr Zalatan took time to explain what I could expect , before doing any work. and he answered all of my questions.
Very GENTLE (no pain whatsoever!) root canal that had to be done through a steel-backed cap. Dr. Suy used the latest technology in cleansing the root canal (including laser), along with numerous x-rays throughout the process to ensure the root canal was properly and entirely cleaned of any infection and bacteria. Thorough, modern, and --did I mention-- GENTLE. I highly recommend Dr. Suy.

2022-07-25Dr. Zalatans is small dental boutique that my Dr. recommended to me when looking for a new modern dental approach to my dental dilema, which even with recurring visits to my current dentist, had deteriorated significantly. The office welcomed me, comforted me, and recommended a financial and dental plan for me. I no longer experience dental anxiety and look forward to my visits where I know I am in expert hands, and will be treated kindly. I have recruited my family as well.

2022-04-11First time sitting in a dentist chair, in over 10 years and they are amazing! Had a cleaning done, and they fixed my broken filling in the front. Last time I had it fixed, through a totally different place, it wasn’t very pleasant or done that good. When Dr. Suy did the work, it was actually fun and absolutely painless. Plus the tooth was fixed so great, you can’t even tell it’s a filling. Thank you Zalatan Dental and Dr. Suy!!

2022-01-10I had a great first visit this morning! Courtney and Dr. Suy made me feel very comfortable. Everything was explained thoroughly, and they got me in and out in no time (without feeling rushed.) Colleen at the front desk was incredibly helpful when I scheduled my appointment, and I was thrilled that I didnt have to wait months to be seen. I might actually enjoy going to the dentist now!

2022-02-08The staff at the office are amazing! The actual dental care is state of the art. I have been told my teeth are too bad, no hope. But then I went here and received truly amazing care. They also treated me with so much respect and kindness while giving me honest feedback to help myself. Then the star of the show...Ms. Colleen! She is the person in the front. Again so kind hearted, always ask me how I am doing and willing to help me any way she can. If your looking for a new dentist please check them out, I promise they are truly awesome!!

2022-01-04So long story short, my tooth broke in half and caused immense pain. On top of it, it was jagged and cut my mouth a lot. I called emergency dental people around and I also contacted my own dentist. My previous experiences with dentists had me scared for a long time and made me resent them. After 20 different dentist said they wouldnt see me, Zalatan brought me in within 2 hours of my phone call and fixed my tooth within an hour of being there. They actually saved my tooth instead of removing it and basically said nicely without bashing anyone that my last dentist did more damage than repairs. Ill only be going to Zalatan from now on. This filling is comfortable and the pain subsided quickly. The doctor is very straight forward and carries your best interest to give you the best options for your health. Highly recommend

2021-10-16I have another dentist but he didn’t do the work needed so a friend recommended me to Dr. Justin Zalatan. All I have to say is I’m switching to Dr. Justin office. I was so impressed by the work he did, the technology, and equipment is beyond impressive. Not to mention the staff are the nicest most accommodating employees. Truly a state of the art place…

2021-10-12If I could give them ZERO stars I would. I had the most painful and traumatic experience in the dentist chair at this practice. I walked out of my last appointment after the doctor was so rude and spoke to me in such a fashion that I got out of the chair in tears and left with cotton still in my mouth. I had to have an emergency appointment at Aspen dental to have the stitches removed from my mouth because I would not let him touch me again. It was 2 years ago, and I still think about that dreadful experience. I feel others should know. I am happy to see many have had great experiences, but I doubt I am the only one to feel this way about that place. Dreadful.
