Called to make a reservation on Valentines Day, knowing it was probably all booked up, but Granit was kind enough to ensure a table for me and my girlfriend that evening! An amazing time. And the food was spectacular!! Also shouts to our waiter Moe! Will def come back :)
My friend and I had dinner at Zia Maria on Sunday night and will 1000% be back. The pasta is home made & delicious, the baked clams are to die for, and the service is amazing! Granite greeted us at the door and made sure we were taken care of all night. He is truly the best and made our experience unforgettable. We will definitely be back!
What a great place to chill, eat and drink. We had a blast and were very satisfied with the suggestions that were made. The chocolate martini was superb! We came on the last day of the San Genaro and were treated like royalty. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating (both were packed). Pleasant host, great waiters and waitresses. Food was exquisite. We were NOT, however, thrilled by the mandatory 20% for a table of 2.
This was by far the most mediocre Italian food restaurant I have ever been to. We were called to attention by the “people gatherer” as we were looking for another place… He showed us the way the pastas were made at the restaurant… and when we were done, we did not finish or even eat half of it (as it was disgusting), I felt like I had just been robbed by a sales car person… We actually took a guest from Germany who loves italian food…. his food also stayed intact in the plate. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. They probably use frozen, old pre-packaged food.
The food was amazing! We had the calamari for appetizer and they were delicious. I had the dinner 3 ravioli dinner special and it was phenomenal! My husband has the lasagna and he loved it. The drinks were delicious also. But you can get good food all over in New York, but not good service. The service here was great. We never had to ask for anything, they were on top of our refills and fresh warm bread. The staff was super polite and funny. We will be coming back here again, and have already been telling our friends and co-workers about it. I HIGHLY recommend giving this place a try.
Food was pretty good, the service was pretty good. This is a 1 star review because we were conned by a pre-populated gratuity for a party of 2. We would have been happy to tip as we normally do when going out to eat but the restaurant’s business practice was poor. The guy at the front acted like it was a first time ordeal for him until we said that’s what the waitress was told to do regularly (she’s just doing her job which I totally understand). He then proceeds to tell us people who are visiting the US don’t tip and that’s why they do this.TODR: good food, good server, poor business practice and the guy up front lied to our faces.
First time in New York and this place made the experience unforgettable. We were walking down the streets and then we’re approach by Granit. He spoke a little Italian (which I loved since I’m practicing) and told us that if we eat anywhere else the food will not be nearly as good as this place. We laughed it off and kept walking but eventually decided to come back and give it a shot and wowowow. Absolutely amazing. The food was just as good as pasta straight from Italy. Everything was homemade and delicious. And to make it even better our bartender Moe hooked it up with the drinks. Espresso martini, Italian margarita, Irish coffee…you name it, he made it. (Even if it meant he looked it up). If you want dinner and a show come here. So entertaining, so fun, and so delicious! We came back twice in a 4 day trip. We will be back soon! Bruno, Granit, and Moe rock!!!
Looking for a place to sit 12 is not an easy thing to do a Saturday night at 8pm. We were surprised when at Zia Maria the host welcomed and accommodated us without any trouble. At the beginning we just wanted some drinks, we ended up having a whole dinner, 4 different pizzas, risotto, wine, beers… and so much more one excellent plate after the other. The host made the experience extra amazing by finishing off our evening with tequila shots for the whole table. We were friends and family and for sure at Zia Maria we felt at home. Thank you for the great experience. We will for sure be back and will recommend the place to all our friends in Puerto Rico so they too get to experience this beautiful place when they visit NYC. Salud Boricua!!
The place is great. The pizza is amazing and the service is so great! Granite is a great host & made us feel so welcome here! Would highly recommend this place. My friends & I had so much fun. And the food is amazing! You can’t go wrong ordering anything on the menu, it was all delicious. And the drinks were amazing too. Can’t wait to come back!!
My girlfriend and I ate here on our trip to New York, we felt welcomed by the manager Granite who greeted us at the front door and got us a table. Everything was amazing from the food to the service, the homemade pasta is delicious. Bruno our server did an excellent job taking care of us and giving us an excellent dining experience. They followed all guidelines required during covid such as asking for proof of vaccinations. We ate here twice on our 4 day trip which says a lot. Can’t wait to go back when we return New York to see our friends Bruno and Granite again.
Fantastic restaurant, what a great experience and enjoyable time spent there last Sunday, with my friend coming from Madrid. I wished they had a branch here in Palm Beach County. From the beginning to the end it was like being in Italy. Granite the host, greeted us from the moment they saw us in the street, he was a really a true and honest person and so professional especially when we asked him, to turn down the AC. We had a four cheese 🍕, with the perfect dough and so tasty and a burratta salad. Simply superb, all!. We will be back, definitely.
Went here for my birthday and it was an awesome experience! Granite and his father were so accommodating and welcoming and made the dinner a full blown party. Food and vibes were incredible and overall it was a positive experience. The singer was great also (awesome choice of songs). Will definitely be back for more exciting dinners! Thx again !
We had a free night and decided to hit up Mulberry. Zia Maria’s did not disappoint. Not only was the food a hit (the sea food special took us right back to Italy), but father and son Bruno and Granite made the night one we’ll never forget. After all, New York is all about the people. Highly recommended.
Fantastic handmade pasta. At the entrance there is some old world guy cranking out pasta by hand. Gimmick, maybe. Legit, definitely. We had the seafood platter for two and let me say the pasta seemed lost in the enormous platter of seafood we were served, which included half a lobster. The red sauce was good enough that you needed to ask for seconds on the bread so you have more stuff to sop it up with. We finished it of with some tiramisu, fresh and delicious, and a few cannolis. Which you know were freshly stuffed cause the shells were very crisp. They finish your meal with a lemon aperitif which was very refreshing. Last but not least was the excellent service; fun pleasant but not overbearing. A definite repeat. By the way the pics are before and after.
A very nice gentlemen help us into making our decision to dine in here with our big group of family. All I can say is the service was perfect. Everything was freshly made so yes we waited a little for our food but Im glad we did. Best experience in NYC was here! They even gave us shots on the house before we step out. It was worth every penny.
Terrible experience, host with red-tinted/brown hair rushed us in and was initially very nice, offered us free tequila to sit down. We sat down and bread and water were brought out quickly but after about 15 minutes no one had come by to take drink/meal orders. Awful vibe inside the restaurant, they played pop over the speakers while someone was playing the chicken dance on the accordion. I wish I was joking. Girlfriend wanted to take a quick look next door because of the terrible service and not-great vibe. Decided to go somewhere else after party member paid for her drink due to the host harassing her, me, and my other party members. The host became extremely aggressive and was apparently yelling at us because “we did not have money”, which I along with anyone else would find pretty disrespectful. He literally told us to F— off. As we left the restaurant we found the host bad mouthing us to the restaurant we were going to. Extremely dissatisfied, 20 minutes after sitting at Paesano’s we had our food and our wine which honestly seems to be better AND CHEAPER than what we would have gotten at Zia Maria. Go there instead.Edit: Granite seems to be the host’s name
My family and I we are new in NYC and we decided to have a late lunch at “zia Maria”. Everybody working in the restaurant are super nice, and most of people speak Italian, the person that serve our table put a lot of attention of our needs constantly. The food was of course the best part of our experience, everything was delicious and done perfectly. If you like to eat authentic Italian food with fresh home made pasta, this is your restaurant.Definitely myself and my family we will go there again.
The place is clean, tidy and realistically Italian like . i. e. no exaggeration or overdoing. The food is so delicious and full of taste, they first introduced a freaky baked it is the oven bread with olive oil and Parmesan cheese, it was so delicious that we asked for more bread the second loaf of bread was not as fresh 😊 but its still alright. The dessert also was so good. I ordered the tiramisu and cappuccino, it was so good, moist and full of flavor and the ice cream scoop was creamy and full of flavor. The staff, were so nice, decent and cheerful and most importantly not fake!I highly recommend the place!
My wife and I went there on Friday for lunch. After walking around the many restaurants, we were drawn to the man making the pasta from scratch at the window. Had a bottle of red, with Spaghetti Bolognese and wife ordered Lobster ravioli. Awesome food, awesome service. Bruno was a good server, would definitely come back.
This was our first time visiting New York we actually found this place on TikTok, my husband and I went for our anniversary and we absolutely loved it, The staff was incredible they went beyond to make our day special. The food was delicious we ordered the special it was a variety of seafood it came with pasta and lobster, definitely would go back.
This restaurant is not only beautiful but offers food to match. Bruno and Granit, his son, are full of personality and make the eating experience so much more enjoyable. I ate here with my parents; my Father and Mother could not stop raving about the food, and Im not exaggerating they could not stop, Im not sure how many times they complimented the owner. But I feel the same, the fig and prosciutto pizza was incredible, as well their homemade burrata cheese. Their lasagna is incredible too, the best my fathers ever had. All the pasta is handmade! To add they also had live music, the singer was super talented, and it created a very romantic atmosphere; perfect for third wheeling with my parents lol. But seriously its an outstanding place with outstanding service. Im sure my family will be back soon! Thank you Bruno!
Amazing restaurant. Authentic food and great music. The vibe is immaculate. Been here more than once and its been an amazing experience every time. Definetly recommend for couples and friends. Family as well. Chris and granite are the best. Fantastic service everytime.
HORRIBLE!Food was disgusting.. My pasta had no salt, the pizza was kinda sweet (way too sweet), the only good thing was the San Pellegrino water (be careful, it costs 8$)! The service is impossible to comment.. We had no napkins nor forks or knives.. no salt or pepper. We literally had to ask the waitress for them after the plates were served. They served the fettuccine with just a spoon…It was impossible for us to tip them.Just a lil reminder: pasta MUST be eaten with a fork. That’s it! No spoons or knives!!!!Uh! Pasta is not even handmade or fresh.Very poor quality.HORRIBLEWORST RESTAURANT EVER
I would call this place tourist food, but the tourist trap pizza places around the major landmarks in the city serve better food. I am frankly astounded at the number of 5 star reviews this restaurant has racked up.Bruschetta: The tomatoes were flavorless and everything else was trying to cover it up.Lobster Ravioli: We couldn’t taste any lobster, and despite that was the best thing we had.Chicken Marsala: The chicken felt over cooked, was covered in bland watery sauce, and served over a pile of spaghetti that I suspect came from a box. If it didn’t, my compliments to the kitchen on their faithful replication of Barilla. The only thing saving this place from a one star review is the excellent staff. We were seated right on time, and the servers were prompt and polite, and we received great service overall.Edit: The “Italian” sandwich I ate the following day at La Guardia airport was better than any of the food we at at Zia Maria.
I LOVE THIS PLACE ! I stumbled upon this place walking down little Italy and there was a man outside who was very hard to ignore . Energy very vibrant Welcoming friendly His presence with the vibe went perfect . they have the best customer service .( blueno was great ) along with the man who seems to be his Bestie lol definitely coming back for his customer service along with the amazing drinks and food . It’s like Italy in New York anything Italian u can think of they have ! I’m not Italian I’m actually African-American but they’re very very versatile with the menu and I loved that part are as well .I heard a second Location is coming soon and I’m super excited for them to expand . See you next time !
Guy outside is incredibly rude and manipulative, don’t let his initial fake friendliness fool you. After POLITELY declining, he called us cheap and said we should go eat Chinese food & do not deserve to walk down little Italy.Needless to say we went next door to Pasano, where an old man greeted us with a smile and was happy to take care of us on outside tableI’ve attached a picture of the guy I’m talking about, from a previous post. Management should clearly do something about this guy, as It doesn’t look like I’m the first to complain about his disgusting behavior.
My husband and I decided to have our first dinner as a married couple at Zia María, our experience was phenomenal. First the food was delicious we had the formaggi pizza as a starter which was amazing, for dinner I had the lobster ravioli the sauce was perfectly creamy. My husband had the shrimp scampi again delicious. What amazed us about this establishment was the service. Our server noticed our wedding bands and asked us if we were newly married (this was not mentioned anywhere in our reservation) we replied yes, he then asked if it was our first dinner congratulated us and proceeded to bring out shots and a cheese cake on the house to celebrate us. The entire staff came to our table one by one to wish us a happy life together and thanked us numerous times for choosing them as our first dinner. The attention to detail and service was great. It was a pleasure dinning here and we look forward to celebrating here again.
The nicest place I have ever been to! Their service is AMAZING. All the severs are absolutely nice and their food and drinks are greatttt! We were very pleased with this restaurant so we definitely will be back again. P.S.: We got shots on the house which was a very nice touch.
The food was great if not a bit pricey. However the manager as well as the server were very welcoming and accommodating. They were kind enough to give 3 masks when one person in my family lost hers. Their hospitality makes for a great experience and I would recommend it any day. On the matter of COVID-19 related precautions they set up seperated outdoor booths so that we could eat safely while the servers wear masks at all times.
Bad experience, non of the beers were cold, they were all a little over room temp(not exaggerating). Now the pizza was gross to say the least. They promote brick oven pizza and it tasted almost identical to the pizza at 711. (Again no exaggeration) I told the server just that in a polite way and he started to blame other near by restaurants that they serve 711 style pizzas. The staff wasn’t interested in giving good customer service. There was about 6 customers including my child and I in the whole restaurant and still took 20 minutes to give my child a sprite.Overall it was a bad experience we didn’t eat the pizza took a few bites and left the rest. And I couldn’t drink a hot beer. So we got up and left.
EXTREMELY disappointed in the service here and the food was just ok for the price. We were bustled in and got menus, water and bread right away. Waiter took our drink order but never brought them back. When we finally got our wine, it tasted watered down. No one ever came to take our food order - had to flag someone down - twice. Noticed other tables waiting a very long time for service as well. Had to ask 3 times for our check at the end of the meal. Meanwhile, a waiter was arguing (loudly, I might add) with another table about their wait time for food - blaming the customers for waiting too long to order. Not their fault...no one came to take their order either.Very poor taste on the waiters part. An automatic 18% gratuity was added to the bill which WAS NOT EARNED AT ALL! Maybe they had an off night but if youre going to add gratuity to the bill, your service better be top-notch. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant.
I had my birthday party at Zia Maria and I can honestly say that I had the best time ever. The host Granit was very welcoming and took care of us since we walked in. The food was amazing and affordable. The service was good our waiter and the host kept checking on us. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone. I will be going back
Hospitable service with an easy reservation process. Solid food, but not spectacular. Music was too loud at times, but it did create a lively atmosphere. A live singer was a nice touch. If you want authenticity, this may not be the place for it. But if you want to have a fun meal with a medium-sized party, you can have that here.
The food was amazing! The staff was extremely friendly, even towards our loud and rowdy crowd of teenagers we had along. We didn’t have to wait long for the service or food, even though there were 18 of us! Thanks for being such a great host, Bruno and staff, and thank you for the delicious food!
This is where we celebrated Christmas! Wonderful food, welcoming atmosphere with terrific service. The ravioli and gnocchi were amazing wth fantastic sauces that we had to get every drop! Thank you for making our Christmas meal memorable! We hope to come back one day!
The place is beautiful and the staff is friendly. The food was very under-seasoned. The steak had no seasoning at all but was cooked well and tender. The spaghetti was nothing to tell the world about. It wasnt bad but it also wasnt great. I would go back and try something different simply bc the staff was wonderful.
First of all, for the service that we received, the 18% gratuity that was enforced on our bill should have been way less. The server was very slow to take our order and did not check on us at all. We had to ask other servers for new drinks (since there was no refills on sodas nor teas which should have been said before hand)Secondly, prices for the food are way above than what they should be. Around little Italy there are much better restaurants with way cheaper options as well. And kid friendly as well which this establishment was not.Lastly, make sure to check your receipt if you do decide to dine here. We had to send our check back because there were MANY items that were added on that we DID NOT ORDER.This has been the first time i had to actually write a bad review for a place.
Food was ok - homemade pasta (not the best I had) is decent but the sauces just werent that tasty or well seasoned. Not even close to the Italian flavours, wasnt bad but wasnt great either. We were given a brioche bread (in Italy its always focaccia) with a mediocre olive oil before the meal - again, nice and very Italian gesture but the Italian flavour wasnt there. 18% tip added to the bill without mentioning feels like a scam. I am always happy to give tips but not this way! Also, we were literally dragged from the street to take a sit cause the place was close to empty but then the service wasnt as quick as youd expect.
This is the best dinner I have had in New York hands down. I love Italian food and this place did not disappoint at all. Very clean and everyone was very polite and attentive to what we needed. (Especially when I knocked my water over ). Also I felt the prices were very good compared to the amount of food that we received. Very happy !!!!
It’s a really great Italian restaurant, I will definitely go again, their risotto funghi and eggplant parmigiana were delicious. We went there with some friends in my cousin’s birthday and since the beginning the service that they provide is awesome, also they were perceptive and gave us a especial cannoli dessert as a birthday celebration with some tequila shots too 🤯
Food was good…family friendly atmosphere! However…we were shocked and surprised that the COVID vaccine cards were not checked or asked for. Only restaurant that didn’t ask during our trip. Then, to top it off, when the server brought our plates out from the kitchen, he served them to the table beside us. Thinking they had maybe just ordered similar items as us, we watched as they sprinkled Parmesan cheese on our pizza and picked up forks to begin eating. They then realized this was not their order. The server grabbed the plates hurriedly and zipped back to the kitchen. He came back out a few minutes later and served us the SAME plates. He said….”they are ok, she just sprinkled a little cheese in it, it will take too long to make another pizza”! We had to keep it, but should have insisted on a new one. Unacceptable…..especially in this day and age of COVID exposure. Very disappointed.
Best italian in whole little italy. The pizzas as well as the pasta is AMAZING. We came all the way from Germany and had an amazing talk with the owner who is such a hard working and dedicated man. Plus he is very funny as well. Great detail in both, food and location. Absolutely recommand!
Got sat down at 8pm, got water and bread about 5 minutes in. I didnt get a menu for 10 minutes and had to ask for one. And then spent the next 30 minutes asking multiple times for our server, asking servers if someone can take our order. Eventually we got someone over that was helping the table next to us and were told that they werent busy and that a server would be right with us. 5 minutes later we left. ALL OF THIS HAPPENED while another couple came in 10 minutes after me and my significant other, Got their order and their food within 25 minutes.
I passed by Zia Maria in the afternoon while shopping in the area, and the host graciously allowed my daughters to use the restroom. While I waited for them, I caught a glimpse of a couple pasta dishes and they looked amazing, so I inquired about their latest seating and told them we’d be back for a late dinner after our 7pm show. I called them when we were on our way and they had a table waiting for us, even though it was clear they would have otherwise been closing at that time. Even though we were the last party to arrive, the bread was hot and fresh, and everything we ordered - lobster ravioli, chicken parmigiana, margarita pizza, and carbonara - was delicious. The cannoli and tiramisu were also great! We were so grateful they stayed open for us and it was the perfect end to a great long weekend. Just the kind of warm hospitality and fresh pasta you would expect from a Little Italy eatery.
Attention is slow. Waiting for the bill took even longer, but the rating is more than anything for the quality of the food, it is quite average and the price is expensive for that quality. The average price is around $ 20 per dish, but the maximum price it should have due to its taste is $ 12. I have tried better flavors in any food court in any mall. There were 5 of us, the bill was 250 USD. I have eaten at hard rock downtown New York for 300 USD and the difference in flavors is at least 5 vs 1. So, you see what I mean.
My 5 friends and I went to Zia Maria and had the worst customer service I’ve ever received. We waited an hour for our food. After complaining that we’ve been waiting so long, our waiter told us that he never put it in. He said it “disappeared”. He apologized and took our order again and said that he would bring it out in 5 minutes. After 20 minutes, they finally brought out half of our order then we waited an extra 10 for our pasta. For their inconvenience they brought out espresso martinis which did not even out for the awful service. They refused to comp the meal and made us wait another 25 minutes after finishing our meal to figure it out. The food was so mediocre and the restaurant was so unorganized. I do not recommend this restaurant to any family trying to enjoy a meal. THIS PLACE IS AWFUL.
Came for the amazing happy hour, loved the service, the food (Margherita pizza) is amazing. Do not miss it. Only negative is that they delivered the bill, collected my card, automatically added gratuity when running it and left me without an itemized receipt to actually see that it was added. Had to personally ask for one and was disappointed that our server was trying to trick us. Overall great experience, but that last part really made an impression.
Table of six with a bill of $365 with taxes and tip. The service was very good. But the food was mediocre. We ordered 6 entrees, 2 chicken marsala, 2 shrimp scampi, 1 chicken parmigiano and 1 personal pizza. Our chicken marsala seem like all the ingredients were cooked separately. The chicken was kind of dry. The mushrooms looked like they were quickly sautéed and the marsala gravy was was non existence. I told the server that I did not like my chicken marsala entrée and he ask me what would I like instead. I ask for the chicken parmigiano entrée which was better then the marsala. The other diner whio ordered the same chicken marsala only ate half of it. He did not like it either. He did not order anything else because he can not have red sauce or tomato with his food. Even though the chicken parmigiano was better. I have eaten better chicken parmigiano in other Italian restaurants. As for the shrimp scampi, there was a small complaint about not having enough sauce also. It seems that they do not put enough sauce or gravy in their food. The pizza that was ordered was okay for what it was worth. We will not be going back to this restaurant to eat. The 2 stars are for the service. No complaints at all about their service.
While I did not personally dine here I wanted to share some details of my daughters experience here last night. Not only did they thoroughly enjoy the food and service, the manager went above and beyond. It was pouring rain last night and he took an umbrella and walked them all the way to the subway station. Thank you for your kindness. Cant wait to get into the city to try your establishment.
A great experience, excellent food and service from our waiter Bruno and the entire service staff, who were proactive and on top of everything. My family loved every appetizer and entree served. The lobster, mussels, clams and shrimp platter over linguini was out of this world. The atmosphere the staff created made me feel as I was back in Italy. We will be back!
The food had no flavor. The service was not good, nobody ever came back to the table. We had to flag down someone for beverage refills, which they charge for and automatically add 18% to the check for gratuity. They promised a great dining experience but we were very disappointed.
I never made it in to eat here because the wait staff was so incredibly rude, my husband and I left before we could get a table. I’m astonished that management allows their staff to verbally accost a customer for asking a question about seating. He rolled his eyes and said, “It’s obvious” before rushing away. When I ask him to repeat what he said he replied, “Yes, it’s obvious, stupidito.” I was shocked and very upset, so we left for the restaurant next door where we had an excellent experience.
The food was ok. There were two of us, but they added 18% tip without asking (or mentioning) to the bill. Then later, I see that they added another 13.00 dollars on my credit card bill. I had not added that amount since a tip was already added on the bill. I feel that they tried to cheat me.
I came here on a busy Friday night and the service was still amazing! Our server Leo went above and beyond and made the whole experience dining at Zia Maria excellent. The food is delicious, the drinks are amazing, and the live entertainment made the whole restaurant feel lively. Will definitely be coming back very soon. Zia Maria is my new go-to restaurant in little Italy!!
Granito and his dad made my moms birthday the best ! The vibes and service is top notch ! Such a cute restaurant with great portions and tasty food ! I felt like family literally ! We also met Mr. Ronnie who is a local who comes in frequent and he made a beautiful art piece that you will see at Zia Maria. This restaurant made me remember one of the reasons why I love living in NYC ! Thank you Zia Maria for a experience I will never forget
Bland food and god awful service. Our waiter came by two times and the second one was just to drop off the check. Planned to leave a smaller tip accordingly only to get the check that had a mandatory 18% tip that was not mentioned or posted anywhere. Such a disappointing experience and long wait for everything!
Went out to celebrate one year with my fiancée and we tried this place out! They were amazing and friendly and we did come on a Monday night so it was packed or busy..nice chill calm and right atmosphere. Zak had hosted us and he was great with questions and suggestions as well. He helps keep your dinner going! Thanks for the wonderful time!
Overpriced - I paid $60 for a bowl of average spaghetti piled high w bologanese and a glass of wine. The service was good but they charged a mandatory 18% tip and then made me wait 40 minutes after my meal to pay.Dont go - plenty of better Italian spots like Bocca di Bacco w better food for more affordable prices
Just looking for some good food with my boyfriend and walked into this friendly Italian spot. We got seated quickly and quickly attended to us. Leo made us feel very comfortable and explain the menu to us. Food was so amazing. Please come here and enjoy this great environment.
This place legit has not regard for the pandemic that is going on. The 25 % max capacity was definitely not the case here. The restaurant was full. People walking around with no mask and there were big groups dancing like it was a club to the extremely loud music... and not social distancing or using a mask. The managers and owner were just walking around enjoying the madness like we are not having a pandemic. The health department will be paying them a visit for sure!! Avoid this place at all cost if you dont want to get sick!!The runners were really nice and apologetic but management doesnt care about anything but money. We all want to have fun and Enjoy our time but at the same time we need to respect one and other and not get everybody sick for some extra dollars on the tab!AVOID THIS PLACE
Amazing and delicious! Found this little spot in little Italy and OMG! We ordered the chicken parmigiana and the zia Maria chicken and Alfredo and they were delicious! Very creamy and tasteful! We came in from chicago and were craving Italian and trying to check out unique places to eat. Definitely recommend. Prices are about $20-25 a plate but portions were big enough to share for two.
Ranoto bad mouth employees shewed us off side walk 2 times. Once walking to find a place we stood for 1 min while someone was inside another restaurant. Would have happily ate there but was shewed off so we waited and ate next door much better place great Italian food chicken parm was amazing. Then after tired it leave we stood 3 feet next to a table beside a sign walked all the way over to us to tell us to move. Probably spelled his name wronge but should fire him. If he owns it shows why its open lol.

2022-07-11Zia Maria restaurant is a true delight to experience good Italian cuisine in the midst of Little Italy. The waiters are both helpful and courteous to their customers. Despite quarantine rules, the atmosphere and energy of the restaurant is full of energy with a slight homely feel. I cant wait to go back for seconds. Much love to Anita.

2022-01-14Absolutely amazing experience! walking in we got our vaccine cards checked which really made us happy to see that they’re ere following protocols. we had the chefs special that feed my friend and i AND THEN SOME! absolutely huge portion of pasta a whole lobster and muscles with clams in a red sauce.the singer created an ambiance that tied the whole place together.Granit, Bruno and Anita were all so attentive and welcoming. bright personalities all around it truly felt like home. they gave us a few rounds of shots on the house. and provided a warm environment. always sparking up a conversation not with just us but everyone in the establishment. if you don’t come to this place for the food come for the vibes.

2022-07-10We were pulled in by the guy standing in front of the building like most folks and wow! What a experience! The food was amazing! We ordered the carbonara and shrimp scampi. Honestly, we should have done like the couple next to us and ordered only 1 and shared because the servings are large. For folks who love authentic Italian, this is the place. The carbonara was legit. And no, they don’t use “bacon”. 😂The location is ideal because you can walk, shop, eat here and then continue on your journey through little Italy. We sat outside which was awesome because was such a nice day and the seats outside are great for people watching. Very romantic lunch spot but could also be great for large families. We seen a family sit behind us as we left that had about 8 in their party. We will definitely return!

2022-06-21We ordered the fettuccine with meat balls and the ravioli trio both were delicious!!! We started with bread and Parmesan with olive oil which we could have filled up on alone, it was so good!! We finished it off with the home made tiramisu with ice cream, aaammmaaazzing!! So good! Mo, the manager was great!! He made the experience next level! I definitely recommend this place

2022-05-19I’ve been here before end it was a little busy but still excellent service but this last time I went on Mother’s Day and I went later in the evening and it was absolutely perfect there weren’t that many people in the restaurant and we were waiting on immediately and the food was absolutely delicious as always. Highly recommends the fresh pasta’s!

2022-04-17From the moment we walked in, Anita greeted us with the most heart warming welcome! Her brother came by the table a couple of times to check that all was well (forgot to ask for his name)-also very well mannered. The family based restaurant is amazing and you can feel the good energy among each other. Will come back again!

2022-03-06One of the best places i’ve ever been. The staff is incredible and very out-going. They truly make you feel welcomed. Bruno and Granite made our experience superior with fun music, drinks and dancing. The food is amazing, our favorite dish was the eggplant parm. Highly recommend for birthdays or other celebrations.
