Definitely deserve 5 stars. Food was excellent. Ordered Tamales and burrito.
My wife and I needed to get out of the house. We picked this wonderful Mexican restaurant in Walden.The food was amazing. This is what I considered a real burrito compared to the ones Ive traditionally had. My wife had the chimichanga which was delightful. Everything was so delicious and tasted fresh. You will definitely be back here again. The owner of the restaurant so friendly and hospitable. a really nice family business and I hope they continue to stay open even after Covid.
The food AND drinks were soooooo delicious. Very good portions and authentic. Owner and his kids (?) were beyond welcoming and generous, too. I don’t live nearby but would definitely return just for Zona Rosa!

Highly recommended! Incredible food, their guacamole is amazing. We eat from here a lot, their shrimp burrito and mole sauce is the best. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and the hospitality is exceptional! Strongly recommended
The food is good, a little bit pricey but good if it comes out of the kitchen but don’t ask for guacamole. Their idea of guacamole is an avocado mashed up without salt or any kind of spices or flavor.Then you see the prices for drinks and it’s a bit of sticker shock.I understand it’s a family ran but there was a little girl sitting by the bar that I’m assuming it’s the owner’s daughter.It’s really not a place that I would want to go out to dinner again.
Tonight was disappointing. On previous occasions Ive enjoyed my visits to Zona Rosa. Not tonight. First, my order was very wrong. Not what I ordered at all. Second, It was essentially dry, tasteless, and difficult to swallow. The owner/waiter is always very accommodating and definitely wants to please. That I appreciate. But the food this evening was severely lacking. The other individual in my party wanting to be polite reported his meal was OK. Both of us left quite alot of food uneaten. Tonights overall grade C. Prices on high side too. $55 for just the two entrees and 3 sodas. $65 with tip. Not worth it at all. I doubt I will be back. In fairness my average overall grade for previous visits would deserve a B.
Terrible ,stay away. Bad food and over priced. I still cant tell if this was supposed to be authentic or tex-mex. The beef tacos were just 3 tacos, no cheese and no rice and beans.The meat was barely seasoned and the tortillas were beyond soggy. The pork tacos are a slight step up. The pork was seasoned better than the beef and the tacos had onions and peppers which helped make the dish more dynamic than just ground beef. Lame takeout dinner for 2 and it was $30.
If I could give them 10 stars I would. Food was excellent. Took longer than they said it would when I called and ordered, but was given a beer and a shot on the house for my wait. Not a doubt in my mind I will be back for more!!!
Ordered through grub hub received wrong order and it was actually the most disgusting greasy garbage I’ve ever had in my life and way overpriced for how bad it is If you want real Mexican food go to Newburgh .. sheesh that was so bad i have food poisoining now I’m about to throw up
Im giving this an average rating because it is a nice restaurant with O.K. food and close to average service.Our waiter alternated between a teenage boy, (well educated, polite and helpful, mind you) and his father (courteous, welcoming, and accommodating).They brought out chips and salsa for our group of 7. As another reviewer mentioned, the salsa was indeed a bit watery.They even brought us all some simple quesadillas on the house. A small gesture, but appreciated.The food was out promptly after we ordered it. I had chicken enchiladas with mole, and thought it wasnt the best mole Ive had, it was good.All in all, its an average spot. Not too bad, not extremely great.
First time here and the service was very much appreciated, the food was DELICIOUSSSSS and the Margaritas were amazing. The salsa was so yummy I order some to go. :) Will definitely be back every time I am in the area. Family, friendly, warm environment, they truly deliver.
My boyfriend and I came to this town for a long weekend and were pleasantly surprised. I ordered shredded beef tamales and my boyfriend ordered the stuffed poblano peppers. This was excellent Mexican food. The prices were very reasonable and the service very good. Will definitely be back!
Not sure why this place got some good reviews because when I went it sucked. First off I wanted to go the Italian pizza near by but my wife wanted to go since see can not eat cheese and gulten. By the way Im going to give a review of the Italy pizza because it was great. Anyways, we went inside and I had bad vibe about it. So employee gave us some chips and salsa which by the way not good and we looked at the menu. The price for items was expensive. I do not know what the were thinking but I was not happy with the price. Also there was no gf and dairy free items there which I was not expecting but we tired to order something for her to eat. Long story short the food sucked and the food was over priced. Thats why I didnt eat there and went to the Italian pizza place close by. Never again with this place.
Food fantastic, vibe great. Food is served piping hot. Veronica and Eduardo are great, drinks are strong. Gave us snacks for our ride home. I love this place.
I have eaten here three times now. Food is incredibly fresh! The service is excellent and the place is very nicely decorated. I really loved the fresh guacamole & salsa. And I was talking with people at the other tables. We were all having a great time. And definitely try the desserts. I had the flan, delicioso!
THE BEST! A cozy, family-owned restaurant with the best authentic Mexican food in the county, this is by far our favorite spot to eat in Walden! Eduardo, the owner makes us feel like family and the food is ALWAYS delicious. We especially love the shrimp fajitas and the chicken chimichangas.
This place is delicious!!! Its small and looks dark inside from the outside haha But its really cute inside and cozy :) My husband and I went on a Thursday night for dinner and everything was so good! Margaritas are yummy. (There fresh and not a mix thank goodness) They give you free chips & salsa & baby cheese quesadilla.

Warning: they charge $2.95 for a soda and that doesnt include free refills. Every dish Ive ever ordered looks the same but they taste different. Food is good. Id go again but order water to drink. Wish theyd take off the window tint.
This place is always dead and now I know why. Their food is ok, nothing special. The portions are VERY small for what you’re paying. This place is WAY overpriced. What they lack in flavor and price, they do not make up for in customer service. I’ve ordered takeout from here twice. Both times the person taking my order was rude to me, there phone kept cutting out as if a fax was trying to be sent on the same line. I had to call back 3x to place the order. When I got the food home and opened it up I saw that one of my orders was wrong. I called to let them know and was told that I was mistaken and then hung up on. I will never order from this restaurant again, nor recommend it to anybody.
Hands down my favorite Mexican place ever right now. Good drinks, and the food. Man, whoever they got making the food know what theyre doing, and we need more of it.
Their enchiladas Suizas are great! Service can be slow but it was worth it, and the owner and server were really attentive to us. The only thing I didn’t like was that they don’t have Tortas on their menu but the enchiladas made it up.
I will never go anywhere else in my area! I was treated like family, and given the utmost respect a customer could receive. The food was great and the environment was warm! Everything was very clean and homey at the same time, and I felt very welcomed! Zona rosa just gained a regular customer!!!!
Some of their dishes can be hit or miss, but chorizo tacos are by far my husbands favorite and I love their enchiladas suizas. Rice is often a little dry, but the refried beans are to die for. I usually skip the rice and get double the silky smooth pinto beans. Yum. Family run restaurant and staff are very friendly. Small dining room, so not good for parties of more than 6 usually, but perfect for a pair or four people. Great chips and pico-style salsa. Just dont go in expecting lots of lettuce or sour cream on the tacos. Cheesy comfort is the name of the game.
Far from what I would call mexican. The sauce on my enchiladas tasted like pizza sauce. They charge you for each fountain drink refill. Service was poor. I wouldnt recommend this place.

Dont waste your money here. The food is really tasteless and costs double or triple what you would pay elsewhere. The portions are too small and the food itself is very disappointing. Jimmy Changas in Goshen or Taco Shack in New Paltz are both much better options.

The food is over price you dont get that much for your money and when i call to make sure that i got the right oder. He gave me an attitude. The burrito didnt look like the burrito and the quesadilla look like tacos with cheese. We are still hungry after spending 32time dollars.

2022-04-16Food is AMAZING!! Feels like I’m at my abuelas house again. The atmosphere is homey and welcoming. Food is made quickly. Don’t get me started on the customer service, they are absolutely amazing. So nice, I feel like I’m family here and not a customer. 100% recommend to anyone who wants a place they can relax, enjoy the best food in Walden and feel at home. The owner is the nicest guy you’ll ever meet.

The owners are very nice and the drinks are very good too! I usually order a chicken fajita or chicken enchilada. Both are excellent and it comes with beans and another side.

2022-04-24Very bad experience on this restaurant I ordered 2 quesadillas one pork and one chicken and I never see quesadilla like this. no lettuce no cheese no cream so simple and no even Mexican salsa they dont know Mexican culinary and the oner o whoever was the guy who take care me is so racist .

2019-07-17My first impression was a hole-in-the-wall type feel, cozy and nicely decorated. They were flexible with our order and had a wide variety of dishes on the menu. Although there was a bit of a wait for the food, you didn’t really feel it because they brought out chips, salsa, and even some small quesadillas! They provided excellent service, and were attentive to all the customers. The food was fresh, delicious, and very flavorful, as well as the margaritas. We felt welcome and comfortable, such a great experience! Definitely worth a visit for quality Mexican food and a nice time out.

2019-12-10This place is a delicious and authentic Mexican restuarant. I, personally, love the burritos and tortilla soup. I also recommend drinking at their bar. The bartenders are amazing and efficient and they are very engaging with the customers as well. Highly recommend. Will be returning many times!
